I recently had the pleasure of visiting this small, family owned establishment and I was not disappointed. The pizza dough was perfectly cooked, with a light crunch on the outside and just enough moisture to give it a chewy texture. The sauce was sublime – sweet, savory and full of amazing flavor. As for the toppings, they were spot on, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.

The atmosphere at Ron and Pats is nothing short of incredible. As soon as you walk in the door, you are immediately welcomed by the friendly staff and surrounded by the delicious aroma of freshly baked pizza. And don’t even get me started on their unbeatable price! For what you get in terms of quality food, it’s definitely worth every penny.

#2 SLYCE Coal-Fired Pizza Company

The atmosphere feels like your favorite neighborhood joint. The only difference being that the pizza is so much better than anything I’ve had in the past! Every slice of their coal-fired pies are perfection – the crust is crispy and golden, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful.

My taste buds were treated to an explosion of flavors from their signature “Coal Fired Delight” pie which included pepperoni, sausage, red onions, mushrooms and black olives. My second favorite was the “Veggies & More” which included bell peppers, red onion, diced tomatoes, garlic and feta cheese!

I must say that SLYCE Coal-Fired Pizza Company has some of the best pizza I have ever had! From top to bottom, and side to side – this is a true hidden gem in Lake County IL… one that all pizza connoisseurs must try out!

#3 Ferentino’s Pizzeria

When I first walked into Ferentino’s, I was immediately taken by the warm atmosphere. The friendly staff welcomed me in with open arms and a smile. Plus, the restaurant has a cozy feel that made me feel right at home.

I decided to try their signature pizza—the Ferentino’s Special. It was hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten! The crust was perfectly thin and crisp and the topping combination of pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, and garlic flavors combined together perfectly. I don’t know how they do it but they created a flavor that is truly unique and unbeatable.

My meal also included sides of garlic knots and salad which were both amazing as well. The garlic knots were freshly baked and had just the right amount of seasoning while the salad was fresh and crisp with a light vinaigrette dressing.

In addition to great food, Ferentino’s Pizzeria also provides great service. From start to finish my experience at Ferentino’s was wonderful—and I couldn’t be more pleased with my visit! From the fantastic food to the welcoming atmosphere, it’s no wonder why people keep coming back for more!

I’m certainly no stranger to pizza, but Kaiser’s has something special. The crust is perfectly crispy and the perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings were applied on top. The taste was just right – not too heavy or too light – and it left me wanting more!

The service was excellent – friendly, attentive, and fast. Plus they have a great selection of craft beers on tap that pair perfectly with their freshly made pizzas!

First off, let me say that the atmosphere of MOD Pizza is fantastic. It has a cozy, yet modern vibe which really helps create a great dining experience. The staff is also very friendly and helpful, so you won’t feel like you are just ordering pizza from an assembly line.

Now onto the pizza! I was blown away by the sheer variety of toppings available at MOD Pizza. From traditional favorites such as pepperoni and sausage to more unique options like roasted garlic and feta, there is something for everyone here! The crust is cooked perfectly and the cheese melts in your mouth. I also sampled some of their signature pies, which were delicious!

Overall, MOD Pizza has incredibly tasty pizza that can satisfy even the pickiest taste buds. It’s definitely one of the best pizza joints around Lake County IL!

#6 Galati’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

From the moment I stepped in, I could smell the aroma of dough and sauce wafting through the air. The decor is simple but elegant and the staff were friendly and helpful. I soon settled on their classic pepperoni pizza, which came with a perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and toppings.

The crust was thin yet chewy; it had just the right amount of crunch to give that perfect bite every time. The sauce was flavorful and not too overpowering, allowing for all the other ingredients to shine. As for the pepperoni, it was simply divine. The slices were thick and juicy, ensuring an intense flavor with each bite.

Overall, my experience at Galati’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria truly lived up to its reputation as one of the best pizza places in Lake County IL. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

The rest of their menu is also top-notch, with a variety of options from antipasto salad to garlic knots. Or you can go full “foodie” and get creative with their build-your-own pizza option. They even have interesting topping combinations like fig spread, gorgonzola cheese, prosciutto and balsamic glaze that will tantalize your taste buds!

But what really sets Pizzeria DeVille apart from its competitors is the atmosphere – it’s cozy, charming and incredibly inviting. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everyone has an enjoyable dining experience.

In short, Pizzeria DeVille is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for some seriously good pizza!

#8 Ganello’s Pizza Company

I visited the restaurant on a whim, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The menu offered a wide assortment of pizza options, from classic margarita to unique combinations like sausage and broccoli.

The atmosphere at Ganello’s is wonderful. It has a cozy Italian vibe that makes me feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which is always appreciated when you’re trying out new places!

But most importantly, the pizza here is absolutely delicious! It’s made with fresh, quality ingredients and the crust is just the right thickness for perfecting baking. The toppings are generous and flavorful too – my favorite was their signature “Ganello Combo” topped with pepperoni, sausage, onions, peppers and cheese. Delicious!

Overall, I would highly recommend Ganello’s Pizza Company if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Lake County IL. Their food and service are top-notch and I can’t wait to go back soon!

The décor is cozy with a homestyle touch, but the pizza is out of this world. The crust is slightly crispy and golden brown on the outside, while remaining soft and fluffy on the inside. The topping options are endless and they all taste delicious! My personal favorite is their Chicago-style deep dish with sausage and extra cheese, it definitely hit the spot.

The service is also top notch. Every time I go in for pizza, the staff always greets me with friendly smiles that make me feel right at home. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and also willing to customize my order to perfection.

All in all, I’d highly recommend Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria to anyone looking for an amazing pizza experience. Their pies are truly some of the best around, so if you’re ever in Lake County IL don’t miss out on your chance to try them!

The first thing that strikes you as soon as you walk in is the wonderful aroma of their freshly baked pizza. Then, when you finally get to sample one of their pies – wow! In addition to their delicious food, Mama K’s Pizza and Grille also has a great atmosphere. It’s cozy and inviting, with lots of rustic wood accents which give it a real homey feel. And if you’re lucky enough to snag a spot at one of their outdoor tables, then you can enjoy your meal amidst some stunning views of Lake County IL.

My favorite thing about Antoich Pizza Shop is that they also offer vegan options! So if you’re looking for a guilt-free meal, this is definitely the place to come.

Best Deep Dish Pizza – The Silo Restaurant

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the delightful aroma of freshly baked dough and melted cheese. It was as if the pizza gods were welcoming me into their cheesy kingdom. The interior of the restaurant was rustic and charming, with old-fashioned farm tools hanging on the walls. I half expected a cow to walk in and start grazing.

Now, let’s get to the star of the show – the deep dish pizza. Oh boy, where do I even begin? The crust was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, with just the right amount of buttery goodness. It was like biting into a cloud made of pizza dreams. And the toppings? Delicious. The cheese oozed out with every bite, creating a melty, gooey paradise in my mouth. I almost felt sorry for the poor tomatoes and pepperoni struggling to swim through the sea of cheese, but then I devoured them, so whoops.

And the size of these pizzas! Good thing I brought my stretchy pants because I needed all the extra room. This pizza is not for the faint of heart or the small of stomach. It’s a behemoth of flavor that will leave you in a pizza-induced coma for days. But trust me, it’s worth it.
