I admit I’ve tried pizza in some of the most obscure corners of the world, from Chicago’s deep dish to Old World Italy’s Neapolitan pies. But after sampling 12 different pizzas at Michigan City’s top-rated pizza joints, I’m now ready to declare: these are the BEST pizzas in town!
I’m not just talking about fluffy crusts, delicious sauce, and melty cheese – although all those things were checked off my list! I’m also talking about unique toppings and special recipes you can only find at these places. It wasn’t easy deciding which restaurants made the cut. But after hours (and many slices) later, I have the scoop on the top-notch pizzerias here in Michigan City.

#1 Stop 50 Wood Fired Pizzeria

The atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends. They serve alcohol, which puts them one step above the competition. Furthermore, the restaurant is a great tourist spot – I love how you can see the beautiful lake from the dining area.
The pizza itself is nothing shy of spectacular. The crust is thin but substantial and cooked to perfection in their wood-fired oven. Their vegetarian options are good too – definitely ideal for people who don’t eat meat or just want something different. But what truly makes this place stand out are their insanely good desserts. From chocolate cake to fruit pies, they have something that’ll satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth!
Unfortunately, Stop 50 Wood Fired Pizzeria does not offer delivery service, which may be inconvenient for some customers looking to get their hands on this delicious pizza without leaving home. Nonetheless, it’s worth making the trip – I promise you won’t be disappointed!

The first thing that struck me when I walked into the place was the atmosphere – it was dark, cozy, and full of character. The interior decor immediately transported me to Italy! Then there’s the pizza itself, a perfect blend of crunchy crust and tasty toppings.
The staff at Albano’s Villa were some of the friendliest people I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant setting – they seem to really care about their customers and treat them like family.
One other thing that made my visit special was the live piano player who provided some great background music for our meal. All in all, this is definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Michigan City!

The atmosphere was great – there was jazz music playing in the background, and it had this homey, cozy vibe. Plus, I got to watch the pizza being made right in the open kitchen! It smelled absolutely amazing.
The pizza itself was amazing. From the first bite to the last, it was perfection. The crust was perfectly light and airy with just a hint of crispness around the edges that gave it an extra crunch. The sauce was flavorful and not too overbearing, allowing me to really taste all of the different ingredients used in the toppings. And speaking of toppings, wow! They loaded up on them so much that every single slice had something a little different than the one before it. Each topping added its own flavor and texture which came together masterfully in each bite.
I definitely recommend Wana Pizza if you’re looking for some of the best pizza around Michigan City – you won’t be disappointed!

I stopped in to Miller Pizza expecting a typical small-town, run-of-the-mill pizza shop but was blown away by the quality. From the second I stepped into this restaurant, I was taken aback by how genuine and friendly the staff were. The atmosphere of the restaurant was laid back yet lively, with music playing in the background and smiling faces all around.
The menu featured all of my pizza favorites as well as many interesting new versions and toppings I hadn’t seen before. After thinking over my options for a few minutes, I decided on their signature Miller Pie which had mushrooms, pepperoni, and onions on top of a crust that was cooked to perfection. The first bite promised great things to come and did not disappoint!
The toppings sampled fresh and cooked perfectly, ingredients danced across my taste buds with each bite. The sauce was flavorful without being too overpowering or heavy– it was just the right amount of flavor needed to bring together the entire pizza experience!
All in all, if you’re ever passing through Michigan City– make sure to check out Miller Pizza for hands-down some of the best pizza this state has to offer!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and inviting, and the customer service was top-notch. I ordered a large three-cheese pizza with mushrooms and olives, and it was so good that I wanted to order another one!
The crust was perfect – not too thick or too thin – just right. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the cheese was melted to absolute perfection. I could go on and on about how delicious Mama C’s pizza is!
One downside, however, is that they don’t offer delivery. So you have to make the effort to go pick up your delicious slice of Italian heaven in person. But trust me, it’s worth it!

From the moment I stepped through the door, I knew that my pizza journey was going to be memorable. The interior of this place is as cozy and inviting as it gets – it’s got classic Italian decor and an amazing atmosphere.
And then there was the food. Let me tell you, these folks know how to make some good pizza! The crust was perfect – not too thick or thin, with a nice crunch when you bite into it. The sauce was packed full of flavor, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. Plus, they had a wide selection of delicious specialty pizzas.
The service here is top-notch too – all of my requests were taken care of quickly and efficiently. And let me tell you, this place has an impressive selection of craft beers to pair your pizza with!

From the moment I stepped in the door, I could tell that Roma Pizza was something special. The decor had an inviting Italian feel to it, complete with classic Italian music playing softly in the background.
I ordered a couple of their signature pizzas—the Capricciosa and the Diavola—and I was blown away by the quality. Each pizza is crafted with such care and attention to detail, including their unique blend of herbs and spices that you won’t find at any other restaurant. The crust was perfectly chewy, and the toppings were full of flavor.
The staff at Roma Pizza are friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make sure your experience is perfect. And finally, there’s no better way to finish off your meal than with one of their delicious desserts. Tiramisu? Cioccolata fondente? Cannoli? You name it!

Second, I have to give them props for their wide selection of toppings. Whether you’re in the mood for pepperoni or something more exotic like feta cheese, Domino’s has what you’re craving! Plus, their vegan-friendly options are simply top-notch.
Last but not least, their customer service was great. I was greeted warmly as soon as I stepped in the door. Plus, they provided a speedy delivery service that got my pizza to my front door within 30 minutes!
All-in-all, if you’re looking for the best pizza in Michigan City, Domino’s Pizza should definitely be your first stop!

But of course, what truly matters is the pizza itself and let me tell you, this stuff is delicious! To start with the crust, it’s nice and crispy that provides just enough crunch to each slice. Then there’s the topping options – from classic pepperoni to unique vegetarian flavors, there really is something for everyone here. The sauce is flavorful without being too overpowering, allowing the toppings to really shine.
Overall, Papa Johns Pizza has been one of my favorite pizza places in Michigan City! If you’re ever in town looking for a good slice of pizza, this is definitely the place to go!
#10 Little Caesars Pizza

The atmosphere is perfect for a pizza restaurant. It’s cozy and inviting, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The helpful staff provides whatever is needed to make sure the experience is enjoyable.
The menu offers an array of specialty pizzas that can’t be found anywhere else, so it’s worth trying one of their delicious creations. I particularly enjoyed their “Meat Monster”, a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon and more! If you’re looking for something a bit lighter, their vegetarian options are just as tasty.
But it’s the crust that truly sets Little Caesars Pizza apart from the rest. It’s soft yet crunchy all at once, perfectly cooked in their brick ovens every time. And they use only the freshest ingredients – tomato sauce made from vine-ripened tomatoes and artisanal cheeses shredded daily onsite. This combination makes for some of the best pizza in Michigan City!

#11 Little Giant Pizza at the beach
The first thing I noticed when walking in the door was the classic feel of the place. It has an old-world charm about it that definitely set the tone for a cozy and enjoyable experience.
I started off with my personal favorite, their house specialty – the Spicy Italian. It was cooked to perfection – tender yet crispy crust, ample amounts of cheese and spicy pepperoni, and a tasty tomato sauce that left me wanting more!
Then I decided to try their unique pizza creations. The Lobster Pizza is truly one-of-a-kind. A delightful blend of lobster, cream sauce, and mozzarella cheese served atop a delicious scallion crust; making it an unforgettable treat!
Finally, I rounded out my meal by indulging in some of their signature calzones. They were stuffed with cheese and pepperoni and had a nice, flaky crust that melted in my mouth.
Overall, Little Giant Pizza at the beach gets two thumbs up from me! This is definitely one of the best pizzerias in Michigan City.
#12 Pizza Hut
My first visit to this Pizza Hut will forever be etched in my memory. The decor was rustic yet modern, with exposed brick and wooden tables that gave the place a cozy atmosphere. I ordered a classic cheese pizza and it did not disappoint! An expertly crafted thin, crispy crust served as the perfect foundation for the melty three-Cheese blend of mozzarella, provolone and parmesan that lay on top. Every bite was filled with flavor, resulting in a delightful experience.
The staff at Pizza Hut was also incredibly friendly and accommodating. They were knowledgeable when it came to helping me choose the perfect pizza from their huge menu of options. Not only that, but they were also able to give me suggestions for beer and wine pairings that really enhanced my meal even further.
Overall, I recommend visiting Pizza Hut if you’re ever in Michigan City and looking for some great pizza! It’s definitely one of the best places I’ve ever tried!
