After my epically long journey to the deserts of Arizona, I was in dire need of some delicious pizza. To satiate my hunger, I decided to embark on a mission to get a slice of the best pizza in Old Town Scottsdale! Having tasted incredible slices from all over the world, I knew this would not be an easy feat.

So, with my appetite in tow and twelve pizza places lined up for review, off I went! It was time to find out if Old Town Scottsdale lived up to its hype as having some of the best pizza in the world.

#1 Craft 64 (Scottsdale)

As soon as I walked in the door, I was struck by the inviting atmosphere. The place looked like it had been designed to deliver a pizza-lovers paradise. There were wood-fired pizzas with craft toppings, a variety of craft beers on tap, and an amazing selection of specialty crafted cocktails.

I decided to try some of their famous creative pizzas and was not disappointed. The crust was thin and crispy, the sauces were inventive without overpowering the other flavors, and the toppings meshed perfectly together. I especially loved their margherita pizza – the tomatoes tasted so fresh!

Aside from the great food, I really enjoyed the friendly vibe of this restaurant as well. Everyone from the waiters to the chefs seemed genuinely passionate about their craft! On top of that, they had great music playing in the background and had some fun activities for kids too.

In conclusion, Craft 64 (Scottsdale) is hands down one of my favorite spots for pizza in Old Town Scottsdale and I definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re in town! You won’t regret it!

The restaurant itself is a bit old-fashioned, but there’s something charming about that. The staff are welcoming and the vibe is cozy, so it makes for a great dining experience right away.

The pizza here is truly one of a kind—I was amazed at how flavorful every single bite was! The crust had the perfect amount of crunch to it and the toppings were top notch. There are plenty of options to choose from too, so there’s something for everyone.

But what really sets this place apart from the rest has to be their unique sauces. They have pesto, fig, and even truffle oil sauces that you can add to your pizza in order to take it up to the next level! I can honestly say that my experience here was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried.

The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting, whether you’re eating with a group or going in solo. The staff were all friendly and helpful – they even offered to let me sample some of the more unique toppings. As for the pizza itself, it was delicious! The crust was perfectly cooked and flavorful, the sauces were tasty (and not too greasy), and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. Plus, it had some unique flavor combinations that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

#5 Oregano’s

When I stepped through the door, an aroma of oregano and delicious carbs wafted through my nostrils. Everything I saw made my mouth water. From the folded slices of cheesy pepperoni to the thick, freshly-baked Sicilian pies, every pizza looked positively scrumptious.

The staff at Oregano’s was friendly and attentive. My order was taken quickly and they had recommendations for me that sounded mouth-wateringly good. Plus, they were more than happy to accommodate my requests for more peppers or extra olives on my pie!

When it finally arrived, the pizza was hot and cheesy with a few packets of oregano flakes sprinkled on top – just the way I like it! I demolished that first slice in no time flat and ordered another one right away. Delicious! First of all, the atmosphere at Pitch is unbeatable. The exposed brick walls give it a vintage vibe and the retro-style decor creates a fun and inviting atmosphere.

The crust deserves special mention. It’s as thin as can be without being brittle or soggy, and it’s got just the right amount of crunchiness to it. I thought the sauce was out of this world – it had a smooth consistency and really made my taste buds sing! The toppings were fresh and flavorful, ranging from classic favorites like pepperoni to more adventurous options like feta cheese.

Service-wise, Pitch hits it out of the park. Our waiter was attentive, courteous, and prompt; he made sure we never had to wait for anything. He also gave us great advice on which pizzas to try – his recommendations definitely didn’t disappoint!

Overall, I’d have to say that Pitch has some of the best pizza in Old Town Scottsdale – in fact, I’d even go so far as to say it’s on par with some of the best pizza places I’ve tried around the world! I’ve been to Italy, and I can honestly say that Pomo’s pizza tastes just like the real deal. The thin crust is perfectly cooked, with a hint of char that adds a bit of smokiness to every bite. The toppings are fresh and plentiful, with nothing too overpowering any of the other flavors.

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with wooden-paneled walls adding a rustic feel to the place. Service is friendly and efficient, making sure you get your food in no time.

Then came my main attraction – a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese! It was cooked to perfection – melted cheese layered between flavorful tomato sauce and generous helpings of pepperoni. The crust had a delightful crunch to it and it was so fresh that you could still taste the doughy flavor.

The staff at Grimaldi’s were friendly and attentive, making sure that I had everything that I needed throughout my meal. All in all, this restaurant delivered an unforgettable pizza experience, one that will bring me back time after time. Without hesitation, I would confidently rate Grimaldi’s Pizzeria as having some of the best pizza in Old Town Scottsdale!

#9 Pizzería Virtu

The atmosphere was definitely nice and welcoming, but the pizza is what really made my experience stand out. The crust was just the perfect combination of crunchy and chewy, and the toppings were cooked to perfection. What’s more is that they serve alcohol, so I could enjoy a beer with my meal!

Speaking of dessert, Pizzería Virtu offers some great options to satisfy your sweet tooth. Thankfully, I had enough room for a slice of their delicious tiramisu. It was heavenly!

The only downside of this spot is that they don’t offer delivery. But hey, it’s worth visiting this place any day of the week if you want to treat yourself to some mouthwatering pizza in Old Town Scottsdale!

#10 Barro’s Pizza

Let me tell you, the atmosphere of this pizzeria is top-notch. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a friendly smile and the smells of freshly baked pizza dough. The decor is rustic and inviting, with booths and tables that invite you to linger.

The crust is perfectly thin yet crispy, and holds up to all of their delicious toppings which include artichokes, Italian sausage, onions, olives and much more. The service here is great too – the staff is always happy to help with any questions or special requests you may have. The prices are reasonable too – they offer family size pies for a great price so everyone can enjoy a large slice of heaven without breaking the bank!

When I walked in to Sauce, I was immediately drawn in by the aroma of freshly-baked dough, bubbling cheese and zesty sauces. The inviting atmosphere only further heightened my anticipation for a delicious meal!

My loyal companion, Mr. Pepperoni Pizza, joined me at the table and we quickly perused the mouthwatering menu. I simply could not get enough of all the options available – from classic Margherita to specialty creations like BBQ Bacon Cheddar – so I decided to order one of each! (Yes, that’s how serious I am about pizza!)

When our pizzas arrived at the table, it was love at first sight. Every pie was cooked to perfection with a lightly charred crust and just the right amount of toppings. The cheese was melted perfectly and melted in my mouth with each bite. And the sauces! Oh yes, those sauces really packed some flavorful punches!

Thankfully none of us had food comas after polishing off all these delicious pizzas because then we would have missed out on their delectable dessert menu. With an incredible selection of cannolis, tiramisu and more – it honestly was hard to choose! But after much deliberation (and stomach growling), we eventually decided on everyone’s favorite: a classic slice of New York style cheesecake.
