The first time I stepped foot in Old Town Pizza & Tavern, the aroma of delicious pizza from their brick oven hit me like a shock wave. I knew that I had to try their pizzas for myself.
When I finally got the chance to taste the pizza, my taste buds were immediately delighted! Their crust was perfectly thin and crispy, and loaded with garlic and herbs. The sauce was flavorful, not too sweet or acidic, but just right. And the cheese was gooey, stringy, and absolutely delicious!
But it wasn’t just the pizza that impressed me; the service at Old Town Pizza & Tavern was top-notch too! The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly; they even suggested some delicious pairings with my pizza of choice.

#2 900º Pizza and Pasta

From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this place was special. The aroma of freshly baked dough and bubbling mozzarella filled the air and immediately made my mouth water.
When it came time to try the pizza, I wasn’t disappointed! The crust was perfectly crispy, yet still had a nice chewiness to it. The sauce was tangy and flavorful, and there were all sorts of delicious toppings from salami to fresh vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection – not too crunchy, not too soft.
The side dishes at 900º Pizza and Pasta were also amazing! Their pasta dishes are rich with flavor and their salads are beautifully presented with fresh ingredients. Every bite was heavenly!

The first thing that caught my attention about Carmelo’s was the smell of freshly baked dough wafting from the oven. The delicious scent alone put a smile on my face and had me eagerly anticipating what was to come.
When I dug into my first slice, I knew immediately why Carmelo’s has such a stellar reputation — the crust was light and fluffy, and the sauce was zesty without being overpowering. The cheese wasn’t greasy, either, which is a huge plus for discerning pizza fans like myself.
But the real clincher for me were the toppings! Everything from pepperoni to spinach to mushrooms was fresh and flavorful. It was clear that Carmelo’s puts in the extra effort to make sure each topping adds something special to their iconic pizza pies.

#5 Pizzalley’s Chianti Room

As soon as I stepped inside, the atmosphere was inviting and pleasant. It’s located in a back alleyway near the old Spanish forts that line the city and reminded me of some of the classic pizzerias I’ve visited in Italy.
The menu was quite comprehensive, featuring all sorts of pizza creations such as Neapolitan-style pies, New York-style slices, pan pizzas, and even a few specialty dishes like lasagna. Each item was made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection – not too soft or crispy.
I especially liked their Chianti Room pizza – it had a delicious combination of roasted garlic, mushrooms, peppers and onions that blended perfectly with the tangy tomato sauce and melty mozzarella cheese. The crust was thin but just thick enough to hold up all the toppings without breaking apart. I would rate this pizza an A+!
To top off my experience at Pizzalley’s Chianti Room, I had one of their specialty Italian desserts – it was freshly baked cannoli filled with a sweet filling that was both creamy and crunchy at the same time. Absolutely delicious!

#6 Real Peel Pizza

The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, and the staff were all exceptionally helpful. What really won me over was the kid’s menu – it made me feel like I could bring my family along without having to worry about them not finding something to eat. The vegetarian options were also surprisingly good – it’s nice to find a pizza place that caters to everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions.
That being said, Real Peel Pizza has one major downside: there is no delivery option. For those who don’t enjoy dining out or don’t have a way of getting to Real Peel Pizza, this can be a major inconvenience.
I’d strongly recommend giving Real Peel Pizza a try – you won’t regret it! The quality of pizza here is top-notch and you’re sure to find something that hits the spot – even vegetarians can have their pick! Just remember, if you want it delivered, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
#7 Antonio’s New York Style Pizza

The pizzeria is owned by Antonio and his wife, who have placed an impressive emphasis on authenticity. As soon as you walk in, you’ll see it in the decor—complete with New York street signs, plastered pictures of Brooklyn Bridge and a New Yorker greeting you at the door!
When I took my seat, I was handed a big, thin-crusted pizza covered with pepperoni and mushrooms. The crust was spongy yet crisp–it was perfection! The sauce was a special blend of tomatoes, garlic and spices that melted in my mouth. The toppings were fresh and plentiful.
I think what really sets this place apart from other “New York style” restaurants is their adherence to original recipes from Pizza masters from NYC. Their recipe for dough was created specifically for this place which gives it that unmistakable flavor.
To top off my experience at Antonio’s New York Style Pizza: there incredible selection of beer and wine selections. From local craft brews to exotic Italian wines, they have something for everyone’s tastes!
All in all it was an amazing experience–the best pizza in St Augustine FL by far!

Whether it’s their signature Italian-style pies or something exotic like their Hawaiian Medley Pizza, each slice is truly delicious. The crusts are just right – light and crispy on the outside while still having a great chew inside. And of course, they’ve got all your favorite toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, olives and more!

I was blown away by the quality of their pizzas. The thick, chewy crust and gooey cheese were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. And I can confidently say that the meticulously crafted sauces and toppings made each bite an absolute delight.
To top it all off, they have a great selection of specialty pizzas and unique flavor combinations including Thai curry, buffalo chicken, and a ‘veggie supreme deluxe.’ No matter your pizza preferences, you’re sure to find something to satisfy your taste buds here at Pizzalley’s. The restaurant has a retro vibe with bright colors, vintage arcade games, and big leather chairs for relaxing in between slices. This makes for an extremely enjoyable experience whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout.
