I’ve made it my mission to scour Napa and taste all the best pizza places. I took a break from my travels around the world to make sure that no stone was left unturned in my quest for the area’s perfect pie. In all, I tried out 12 different pizza spots in the area.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and an inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, always making sure I had what I needed.

The pizza was beyond delicious. It had the perfect thin crust that carried just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The flavors were complex, yet balanced – never overpowering each other – with a hint of fresh basil to bring it all together.

I was most impressed by the quality of service here. Every time we stopped in, our order was taken quickly and prepared with care. No matter how big or small the order, Foodshed Take Away went out of their way to make sure it was done right. It’s clear they take dining experience seriously!

#2 Antonio’s Pizza

The crust was perfectly crisp, the sauce was savory, and the cheese…well, let’s just say I haven’t tasted better anywhere else. The pizza had a balance of all the right flavors: not too thick or thin, not too much or too little toppings.

My only complaint is that Antonio’s doesn’t offer delivery. That would be great for those times when you just don’t feel like getting out and having a slice.

#3 Fazerrati’s Pizza

I am normally pretty picky when it comes to pizza, but Fazerrati’s was so incredibly delicious that I’m still dreaming about it weeks after my visit. The crust was perfectly crisp and the cheesy goodness had me drooling from the first bite.

What really sets Fazerrati’s apart from other pizza places is their unique toppings. I’m used to the usual pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions…but their innovative flavor combinations are like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. From spicy jalapeno and pineapple to savory garlic shrimp, the tastes are truly out of this world!

This popular pizzeria also offers an extensive drink selection with a wide range of craft beers and Italian wines to choose from. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming–perfect for family outings or date nights alike.

#4 Filippi’s Pizza Grotto

I was incredibly impressed by the wide array of pizzas offered at Filippi’s. From classic margheritas to specialty pies like the “Fire Breathing Dragon” topped with red onions, jalapenos, and hot pepperoncinis – they’ve got it all! And the sauce… so delicious I wanted to take a bath in it!

The crust was perfectly cooked and golden brown. Not too thick or thin – just perfect for picking up and eating without making a mess. The toppings were generous and flavorful without overwhelming the pizza. It was truly a pleasure to enjoy such an excellent pie.

I’d like to make one thing clear: don’t let Filippi’s quaint atmosphere fool you – this is serious pizza! This is not just some hole-in-the-wall where you can find decent pizza every now and then; this is where you go if you want the best pizza in Napa CA. Highly recommended!

#5 MOD Pizza

First of all, the atmosphere at MOD Pizza was top-notch. The decor was modern and stylish, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I could tell they took great pride in their establishment, which is always a great sign!

When it came to the pizza itself, I found MOD Pizza to be on par with some of the best pizzerias around the world. The crust was light and airy, with a perfect combination of crispiness and chewiness. The sauce was tangy yet smooth, providing just enough flavor without being too overpowering. And lastly, the toppings were varied and fresh – every bite tasted delicious!

Overall, my experience at MOD Pizza left me feeling satisfied – this place has earned its spot as one of the best pizza joints in Napa CA!

#6 Azzurro Pizzeria e Enoteca

I was immediately impressed with their selection of wines and other alcoholic beverages, perfect for my after-dinner celebration. But what impressed me more was the fact that they even had a kids menu – so it’s great for families!

The veggie lovers won’t be left out, either. Azzurro Pizzeria e Enoteca offers several delicious vegetarian options to choose from, so everyone can find something to enjoy. And if you’re in the mood for something sweet afterwards, they have an excellent selection of desserts as well.

The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery – but that’s only because I’m sure you’d want to try their pizza while still hot and fresh, which means going there in person! All in all, this place is must-visit destination if you’re looking for the best pizza in Napa CA.

#7 Papa Joe’s

The first thing that impressed me about Papa Joe’s was the atmosphere. It’s a traditional, Italian-style restaurant with a cozy, inviting atmosphere that really made me feel welcome. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu – they definitely knew their stuff!

Next, I moved on to the pizza itself. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had in this part of California! The crust was thin and crispy, while the sauce was bursting with flavor. To top it off, they had a wide selection of fresh toppings that perfectly complemented each other.

Overall, my time at Papa Joe’s was well worth it. Not only did I enjoy an unforgettable meal, but I also left feeling satisfied and impressed by the quality of their food. If you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Napa CA, then look no further than Papa Joe’s!

#8 The Forge Handcrafted Pizza and Brewpub Napa

The atmosphere at The Forge is amazing. They have a rustic, cozy interior with plenty of space for large groups. And the dark wood tables and booths let you know it’s where you should go for a good meal.

Their pizza selection is second to none! The crust has just the right balance of crunchiness and chewiness, and every topping comes through in every bite. I mean, they don’t skimp on anything! The toppings are always fresh and flavorful. They also have unique specialty pizzas that you can’t find anywhere else, like their ‘Spicy Red Pepper & Mushroom’ or the ‘Prosciutto & Buffalo Mozzarella’.

I’m not a beer drinker, but their house-brewed craft beers looked incredible! They have several different varieties, ranging from light lagers to dark stouts. Plus, all of their beers are served cold in a frosted mug, which goes perfectly with their hot pizzas.

#9 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

I’ve been to many places in search of the perfect slice of pizza, but Papa Murphy’s has consistently delivered when it comes to flavor, quality and service. The ‘Take ‘N’ Bake’ concept is a real winner for those who just can’t wait for their pizza to be delivered or cooked on-site.

The staff at Papa Murphy’s are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the pizzas they serve. I have always felt welcomed and appreciated by them no matter what time of day I come in for my pizza fix.

When it comes to the actual pizzas themselves, Papa Murphy’s delivers an out of this world experience. The crust is perfectly cooked; crunchy on the outside yet still soft and airy on the inside. As for toppings, they offer fresh vegetables, premium meats, a wide selection of cheeses and other ingredients like olives or jalapenos that really give it that extra zing.

A fan favorite of mine is the “Create Your Own” option since it allows me to craft my own pizza masterpiece with whatever combination of toppings suits my taste buds at the moment!

Overall, I cannot recommend Papa Murphy’s enough – it truly offers some of the best pizza in Napa CA!

#10 New York Pizza Kitchen

I’ve been to many pizza restaurants and sampled a variety of different styles, but none compare to New York Pizza Kitchen. From the moment I walked in, I was instantly captivated by the atmosphere – it had a cozy feel that put me at ease. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Once I finally got my hands on the pizza, I could tell that their ingredients were absolutely top-notch. The dough was perfectly cooked – not too thick or too thin – with just the right amount of charring on the edges to give it a nice smoky flavor. And every single topping seemed to have been added with care and precision to create an unbelievable flavor combination.

In conclusion, New York Pizza Kitchen is definitely right up there amongst the best pizza in Napa CA. If you’re looking for an amazing meal that won’t set your wallet back too much, this place is definitely worth checking out!

#11 Mary’s Pizza Shack

I was lucky enough to have visited the restaurant after a long day of traveling. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by one of the friendly staff members and immediately noticed the inviting atmosphere.

The menu had lots of options to choose from – something for every type of pizza lover! I was very impressed with the variety, including classic pizzas like pepperoni and Hawaiian, as well as some more unique combinations like feta and spinach and garlic mushroom.

When it came time to order, I took a chance on the Margherita pizza – it did not disappoint! The crust had that perfect balance between crispy and chewy and was full of flavor. Toppings were generous without being overpowering. This pizza really hit all the right notes!

Overall, Mary’s Pizza Shack definitely lives up to its reputation as one of the best pizzerias in Napa CA. If you’re looking for an unforgettable pizza experience, this is definitely a place you should try!

#12 The Food Mill – Pizzeria & Grill -Clemente’s

I love how the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy and the décor is stylish but not too fancy. Plus, the service is always spot on!

What sets The Food Mill apart from other pizza restaurants is the freshness of their ingredients. Their pizza dough is made in-house which ensures that it’s light and fluffy with a perfect crunch. Each pie is handcrafted with a topping of your choice including classic favorites like mozzarella, mushroom, bacon, sausage, peppers, onions, olives and more! From thin crust to deep dish they have something for everyone.

The flavors are out of this world! The Food Mill knows how to create an exquisite balance of toppings to bring out that perfect flavor profile. They don’t skimp on quality either – each bite packs a punch and you can taste the freshness of every ingredient!

My personal favorite was their signature Clemente’s Special pizza – peppered with mushrooms, red onions, Italian sausage and mozzarella cheese topped with garlic cream sauce and finished off with a sprinkle of oregano. I could eat it every day!

Best Thin Crust Pizza – Azzurro Pizzeria e Enoteca

When I first heard of a pizza place in Napa, I have to admit, I was skeptical. I mean, come on, Napa is known for its wine, not its pizza! But boy, oh boy, was I wrong. From the moment I walked into Azzurro Pizzeria e Enoteca, I knew I was in for a treat.

Let’s start with the crust. It was so thin and crispy, it practically melted in my mouth. It was like eating a cloud made of pizza. And the toppings! They were fresh and flavorful. It’s like they traveled straight from Italy to my plate, whispering mamma mia as they landed.

And let’s not forget the ambiance. The restaurant is charming and cozy, with a rustic Italian feel. The staff is friendly and always ready with a joke or two. I couldn’t help but chuckle as I watched the chef twirl the pizza dough in the air like a pizza-tossing ninja.

But the real showstopper was the pizza itself. I don’t know how they do it, but every bite was a symphony of flavors dancing in my mouth. It was as if angels descended from heaven and sprinkled each slice with deliciousness.

Best Wood Fired Pizza – The Forge Handcrafted Pizza and Brewpub Napa

Walking into The Forge, I was immediately greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly baked pizza crust mingling with the scent of burning wood. It was like stepping into a pizza-lover’s paradise, where the sizzling sound of the oven was music to my hungry ears.

I took a seat at the bar and ordered their signature wood fired Margherita pizza. The anticipation was palpable as I watched the skilled pizzaiolo expertly stretch the dough and meticulously layer it with tomato sauce, basil, and gooey mozzarella cheese. I could hardly contain myself as it was placed into the blazing hot oven, ready to be transformed into a cheesy masterpiece.

When the piping hot pizza arrived at my table, I couldn’t help but marvel at its golden-brown crust and the delightful charred edges. With one bite, I was transported to pizza nirvana. The crust had that perfect balance of chewy and crispy that only a wood fired oven can achieve, and the flavor was out of this world. Each bite was a harmonious symphony of tangy tomato sauce, fragrant basil, and melty cheese.

But the fun didn’t stop there! The Forge also boasts an impressive selection of craft brews to accompany their pizzas. I opted for their house-made IPA, which perfectly complemented the rich flavors of the pizza.
