Over the years, I’ve been to hundreds of pizza places all over the world. But in my expert opinion, some of the best pies are right here in this small Texas town!

I recently went on a quest to explore New Braunfels’ pizza scene. My mission? To try out at least 12 of the pizza places this place had to offer. And let me tell you – it was one hell of an assignment! From outrageous toppings to cheesy goodness, there was no shortage of deliciousness!

I have loads of insights into all kinds of pizza, so prepare yourself for a lighthearted and humorous review about who has the best pizzas in town.

#1 Above Ground Pizza

From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat. The smell of freshly cooked pizza filled the air, and the friendly staff welcomed me with open arms. The decor was unique and inviting, with pictures of pizzas along the walls, giving it a fun atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The pizza itself was incredible! The crust was light and crisp, and had just the right amount of crunch. The cheese was gooey and flavorful, and tasted like it had been freshly grated. And the toppings were fresh and varied – each slice had its own flavor profile, making for an unforgettable experience.

Overall Above Ground Pizza is a great place to get your pizza fix! It offers quality ingredients in an enthusiastic environment – you can’t ask for much more than that! This is definitely one of New Braunfels’ best-kept secrets when it comes to pizza, so don’t hesitate to check it out if you’re in town!

#2 Bootleggers Pizza Parlor

I had the pleasure of dining at Bootleggers recently, and I must say, I was impressed. From the moment I stepped into this charming restaurant, I was in awe of how friendly and inviting everyone was.

I started off with a house salad and some beer (yes — Bootleggers serves alcohol!) from their extensive beer selection. I have to admit, my taste buds were blown away by the delicious combination of flavors present in the meal.

But it didn’t stop there. The main event came when our waitress presented us with a large pizza loaded with toppings that were simply divine! It was cooked to perfection and had a flavor that rivaled even my favorite pizzas in Italy.

What really sets Bootleggers apart is its unique offerings. They have a kid’s menu which makes it great for families, they also offer dessert after your meal, and they’re a great tourist spot as well as a terrific place to watch sports on TV. The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery services; however you can take out if you prefer not to eat in-house.

Overall, Bootleggers Pizza Parlor comes highly recommended by me for anyone who wants some of the best pizza in New Braunfels!

#3 Villanovas pizza

The atmosphere at Villanovas is warm and inviting, making me feel right at home as soon as I stepped inside. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which added to my overall great experience.

Their selection of pizzas is vast, from classic toppings like pepperoni and mushrooms to unique creations like their ‘Taco Supreme’ pizza. Everything had a delicious yet different flavor that tantalized my taste buds. But what really made me fall in love with Villanovas was their signature deep dish pizza – definitely the best pizza I’ve ever tasted! It’s a mouthwatering combination of flavors unlike anything else I’ve tried before.

If you’re looking for the best pizza in New Braunfels, look no further than Villanovas Pizza! It’s hard to beat their perfect combination of wonderful atmosphere, friendly service, and mouthwatering pizzas. You won’t be disappointed if you head over there for a slice!

#4 Mattenga’s Pizzeria 46 HW New Braunfels

My first impression of the restaurant was great – it had a classic Italian feel, with the pizzaiolo proudly showing off the wood-fired oven and talking about his years of experience.

The pizza, however, is what truly made this place stand out. I had never tasted such a perfect combination of flavors before – from the tangy tomato sauce to the perfectly cooked crust. Even the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The pepperoni was especially good; it was cut thick and cooked just right so that its smoky flavor really shone through in every bite.

To top it all off, Mattenga’s Pizzeria 46 HW New Braunfels also serves up an amazing dessert pizza – Nutella on an olive oil-infused crust. It’s as decadent as it sounds!

I can honestly say that Mattenga’s Pizzeria 46 HW New Braunfels has some of the best pizza in New Braunfels – if not all of Texas! Everything here is made with care and passion, so if you’re looking for a truly special culinary experience then this is definitely the place to visit.

#5 Noli’s Vite

From the moment I stepped foot in this place, I knew it was going to be special. The rustic atmosphere and the smells of fresh pizza immediately put me in the right mood for a superb dining experience.

The menu selection was top-notch; there were plenty of options to choose from – traditional Italian style, New York-style thin crust, and even vegan options. But I went with the classic Margherita – no frills, just a classic Italian recipe brought to life by Noli’s Vite’s talented chefs.

The pizza arrived piping hot and smelled heavenly. The cheese melted in my mouth, while the sauce was tangy and peppery all at once. The crust was perfectly crunchy without being too tough or overdone – a true sign of great care taken in making each pizza by hand.

To top it off, the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their food, making sure that my meal went above and beyond expectations! All in all, this is definitely one of the best pizza places I’ve had the pleasure of eating at – Noli’s Vite has earned its spot as one of New Braunfels’ premier pizzerias!

#6 New York Pizza Pub

The first thing I noticed upon entering the restaurant was the wonderful smell of pizza baking in the oven. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it was obvious that the folks at New York Pizza Pub take a lot of pride in their establishment.

The pizza itself was simply delicious. The crust was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crispness, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. It had all the classic flavors that I look for in a great slice – savory sauce, creamy cheese and tasty meats. Plus, they offer some truly unique topping combinations that will make your mouth water in anticipation.

I’m so glad I chose New York Pizza Pub on my visit to New Braunfels! Their pizza is truly some of the best around and I will definitely be stopping by again whenever I’m nearby. Highly recommended!

#7 Di’s Homemade Pizza

I can honestly say I’ve never tasted anything quite like it. The crust was perfectly cooked, and the flavor was out of this world!

The toppings on their pizzas are a real step up from other pizza places I’ve visited. Nothing but the freshest ingredients make their way onto Di’s pizzas. Every bite is packed with flavor and deliciousness.

Their menu also has some truly interesting combinations of toppings that you won’t find anywhere else. My favorite combination is their guacamole, bacon, and onion pizza. It sounds strange but it tastes great!

I also appreciate that Di’s Homemade Pizza has a great atmosphere as well. The space is cozy and inviting with plenty of seating for large groups or parties. The staff are friendly and helpful as well, so your visit will be enjoyable no matter what you order.

All in all, if you’re looking for the best pizza in New Braunfels then Di’s Homemade Pizza should definitely be your go-to spot!

#8 MOD Pizza

The first thing that struck me was just how customizable the pizza is. You can top it with whatever ingredients you like, so the possibilities are endless. I must have tried a dozen different combinations and each one was better than the last.

The pizzas come out in less than 4 minutes, which is really impressive. And I’m always amazed by how fresh the ingredients taste, regardless of what time of day I’ve visited.

Speaking of freshness, there’s nothing quite like MOD Pizza’s sauce. It’s got a unique blend of herbs and spices that put it leagues ahead of other restaurants in New Braunfels. Plus, their crust has the perfect amount of crunch, making for an unforgettable pizza-eating experience!

On top of all that, MOD Pizza also offers some incredible deals. They even offer a “7th Free” deal where if you buy 6 pizzas they give you the 7th one free – how cool is that?!

All in all, I’d say MOD Pizza definitely deserves its place as one of (if not THE) best pizza joints in New Braunfels. If you’re looking for great tasting pizza with unbeatable prices and convenience, then look no further than MOD Pizza!

#9 Inferno’s Wood Fired Oven & Spirits

First of all, their wood-fired oven gives the pizzas a wonderful smoky flavor that you can’t get from other places. The dough was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The toppings were generous and fresh, making each bite an absolute delight.

Plus, their servers were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Even with my picky requests for extra sauce or melted cheese, they always made sure to please my palate!

Finally, their spirits selection was unparalleled in the area. With so many good wines and craft beers to choose from, it made it hard to decide which beverage would pair best with my pizza. In the end I think I chose a winner!

All in all, Inferno’s Wood Fired Oven & Spirits served up some of the best pizza in New Braunfels that I’ve ever had! If you’re looking for great pizza in the area then look no further than this place—you’ll be glad you did.

#10 Stout’s Pizza Co.

The crust is light and fluffy, and the sauce has a nice balance of sweetness and spiciness. The combination of mozzarella cheese and Italian sausage is a classic taste sensation. I would have to say, the best part about Stout’s Pizza Co. is their unique, wood-fired oven! The wood char imparts an incredible flavor to the pizza that you can’t get with any other cooking method.

The atmosphere in Stout’s Pizza Co. is fantastic – it’s a charming little restaurant set in an old stone building that oozes character. However, the prices are not as charming – they’re quite steep for what you get, but it’s worth it given all the deliciousness between those two slices of dough!

All in all, Stout’s Pizza Co. gives me hope that I can still find authentic pizza closer to home rather than traveling around the world all the time. If you’re looking for some of the best pizza in New Braunfels then look no further than Stout’s Pizza Co!

#11 DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks

The atmosphere was inviting and friendly, but even more importantly the pizza was outstanding. Every pie I sampled had just the right mix of crispiness and softness in the crust, a perfectly balanced sauce-to-cheese ratio, and generous portions of fresh toppings (I’m looking at you, pepperoni!).

It’s easy to customize your pizza with any number of tasty options. You can choose from signature pies like The Big Dave (a deep-dish delight) or The Works (loaded with all available toppings). And don’t forget about their famous Pizzakebabs – an inventive twist on the classic dish that you won’t find anywhere else!

Not only is DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks producing some of the best pizza in New Braunfels, they’re also offering great value for money. Prices are very reasonable when compared to other local pizzerias, making it easy to enjoy fantastic food without breaking the bank.

#12 Willy B’s Burgers & Pizza New Braunfels

On my visit, I feasted on a classic margherita pizza. The crust was thin and crispy – everything you’d want from a perfect New York-style slice. The tomato sauce was the star of the show though. It was bright and tangy, with just enough sweetness to balance everything out. As for the mozzarella cheese, it was fresh and creamy – not too greasy – so every bite melted in my mouth. It might be blasphemy for me to say this, but…I think this pizza is even better than some of the pizzas I’ve had in Italy!

But that’s not all Willy B’s has to offer. Their burgers are also top-notch! When I bit into mine, I could just taste how juicy it was from the first bite. The toppings were perfectly proportioned too – every ingredient worked in harmony! It felt like heaven in my mouth!

To sum it up, Willy B’s Burgers & Pizza New Braunfels offers pizza and burgers that will make your tastebuds dance with delight. It’s definitely worth a try if you’re ever in town!
