I recently traveled to the area and had the pleasure of trying 12 different pizza places. It was a tasty challenge, but fun nonetheless. I’m here to give you my review on the best pizza Summerville has to offer.

#1 Antica Napoli Pizzeria

I recently visited, and wow, I was blown away by the quality of the pizza. Every slice was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The crust was thin and crispy, yet held up well enough to hold all of the toppings in place.

The toppings were fresh and flavorful, with a variety of options to choose from. My favorite topping combo? Sausage, peppers, mushrooms, and onions-so delicious!

The atmosphere at Antica Napoli Pizzeria also added to my experience. It’s a cozy spot with dim lighting that creates a romantic vibe.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and I can confidently say that this is the best pizza in Summerville SC! Make sure to check out Antica Napoli Pizzeria for some delicious pizza that will have you coming back for more.

#2 Bellacino’s Pizza & Grinders

Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the cozy atmosphere. The walls are decorated with various memorabilia and the staff is warm and friendly.

The menu is filled with delicious choices, and I was immediately drawn to the variety of specialty pizzas and grinders. I decided to try one of their famous thin crust pizzas topped with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. It was simply divine – each bite was flavorful and the toppings were fresh and plentiful.

The grinder could not be ignored either; this Italian-inspired masterpiece was worth every penny! It included spicy salami, peperoncini, lettuce, onion and a creamy mozzarella cheese sauce served on a soft but crunchy bun. Most noteworthy was how generous they were with the portions – there’s no way you won’t leave full after ordering from here!

#3 Italian Bistro – Sangaree

When I walked in, I was welcomed with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The décor was simple yet stylish, and the helpful staff showed me to my table quickly.

As I waited for my pizza to arrive, I could smell the delicious aromas coming from the kitchen. When my pizza arrived, it looked so delicious! The crust was thin yet crunchy and the toppings were cooked to perfection. The cheese was melted perfectly and all of the flavors combined really well.

What really set Italian Bistro – Sangaree apart from other pizzerias was their unique topping combinations. For example, one of their signature pizzas is topped with olive tapenade and figs – something I had never experienced before!

In conclusion, Italian Bistro – Sangaree offers some of the best pizza in Summerville SC! With its friendly atmosphere, great service, creative topping combinations and delicious food – this pizzeria is worth going out of your way for!

#4 King’s Pizza by: Italian Bistro

When I first arrived, I was amazed by the cool atmosphere of the restaurant. It was so inviting and I felt right at home.

The next thing that floored me was their incredible menu. Not only did they offer amazing signature pizzas, but they also had a variety of Italian dishes as well!

I decided to go with one of their signature pizzas and it did not disappoint! The pizza had a perfectly thin and crispy crust, topped with delicious mozzarella cheese, fresh oregano, and sweet tomato sauce. The toppings were fabulous too – everything from pepperoni to artichoke hearts tasted great!

I cannot say enough about King’s Pizza by: Italian Bistro. It truly is some of the best pizza in Summerville SC and I would highly recommend trying it out!

#5 Famulari’s Pizzeria: Oakbrook

The atmosphere was very lively, with colorful decorations, a vibrant staff, and a plethora of hungry customers. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient; they had my order out in no time at all.

And what about the pizza itself? Absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked thin-crust pie topped with the freshest ingredients. It’s definitely the best pizza in Summerville SC. The crust was light and crisp, while still being substantial enough to hold all of the toppings without becoming soggy.

The toppings were plentiful and flavorful, from classic pepperoni to unique white pizzas with artichokes and spinach. There was something for everyone’s taste buds! Even though I had traveled around the world sampling different pizzas, Famulari’s Pizzeria: Oakbrook still managed to impress me.

I highly recommend Famulari’s Pizzeria: Oakbrook for anyone who wants an amazing meal without all the hassles of going out for dinner. You can enjoy some of the best pizza in Summerville SC with just a few clicks!

#6 Donatos Pizza

The atmosphere was great, with upbeat music in the background and a pleasant staff. The restaurant itself was very clean, which I always appreciate.

When it comes to the pizza, Donatos Pizza set the bar high in my book. They offer a wide variety of pies that can satisfy any craving. From classic pepperoni to BBQ chicken, they’ve got you covered. The crust is amazing – crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just perfect for folding in half!

The topping selection was impressive too – think mushrooms, peppers, olives, spinach, onions and more. You could really customize your pizza to your heart’s desire! To top it all off (literally) they use the best cheese they can get their hands on – creamy mozzarella with just enough of a bite to make it special.

On a hot summer day (or any day for that matter), I’d recommend paying Donatos Pizza a visit if you’re ever in Summerville SC. You won’t be disappointed; this is certainly some of the best pizza I have ever tried!

#7 Italian Bistro

As soon as I stepped into the joint, I knew this was a special place – cozy and homey with an unmistakable rustic charm. I ordered their signature pizza – a wood-fired delight topped with fresh mozzarella, sausage, peppers, onions, olives and mushrooms.

The pizza had a perfectly crisp crust with the perfect amount of charring and the sauce was just the right balance of tangy and sweet. The veggies were fresh and flavorful while the sausage provided some much-needed depth to the topping profile. All in all, it was a heavenly combination!

Beyond the pizzas, Italian Bistro also serves up unique appetizers like fried zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese or calamari fritti. The service is warm and friendly as if you’ve stepped into some sort of old-fashioned Italian family gathering. All in all, it’s an incredible experience that’s not to be missed!

In terms of atmosphere, one thing I love about this restaurant is that it has a relaxed and inviting vibe. The staff is super friendly and you can tell they take pride in their work. Plus, they always play great music so you don’t feel awkward while you wait for your order.

The pizza? Oh wow – it’s incredible! Seriously, the amazing flavor combination of their classic margherita with basil leaves, olive oil, and fresh mozzarella was out of this world. Then there’s the meat-lovers pizza – packed with pepperoni, ham, chicken, and Italian sausage. It’s like each bite melted in my mouth! And finally there are the traditional pizzas – available in a variety of sizes and toppings to fit any craving.

I highly recommend visiting Famulari’s Pizzeria Azalea Square if you’re looking for the best pizza in Summerville SC – you won’t be disappointed!

#9 The Red Pepper – An Italian Eatery

The pizza here has an incredible taste, not to mention the perfect crust. The Red Pepper’s wood-fired oven provides the unique smoky flavor that creates a one-of-a-kind dining experience. All of the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, making for an unforgettable culinary experience.

What really makes The Red Pepper stand out from the crowd is its variety of specialty pizzas. From veggie options to classic Italian recipes, there’s something for everyone! Even better, their selection is always changing so you’re guaranteed to find something new every time you visit.

The atmosphere of The Red Pepper is friendly and cozy. It’s a great place to bring friends or family; diners can watch their pizza being made at the open kitchen while they wait in line. Plus, they have an amazing selection of Italian wines that complement each pizza perfectly!

All in all, I highly recommend trying The Red Pepper if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Summerville SC!

#10 Steel City Pizza

As soon I stepped inside, the atmosphere felt like home. The staff were friendly and the pizza was cooking in the ovens behind the counter.

The pizza itself was heavenly! The crust was thin yet crisp, with a nice blend of flavored oils that melted in your mouth. The tomato sauce had an explosion of flavors that were as intense as fireworks on July 4th. It had a unique sweetness to it, unlike any other pizza place I know. And top it all off with freshly shredded mozzarella cheese and your choice of toppings!

I can honestly say that Steel City Pizza is one of my favorite spots for some delicious slices. They have truly mastered the art of making pizza and are definitely worth trying out if you’re looking for some great summerville sc pizza!

#11 Benny Mazzetto’s

The moment I walked into the restaurant, I could tell it was going to be a great experience. From the decor to the pleasant and friendly staff, Benny Mazzetto’s set the stage for a perfect pizza feast. And then there was the food itself!

I opted for their signature pie, which is a classic combination of red sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, garlic and basil. The dough was thin and crispy in just the right spots and had the perfect amount of chewiness. The sauce had a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, and fresh herbs added an extra dimension of aroma to each bite.

To top it off, all of this deliciousness is dished out at a surprisingly reasonable price. With this unbeatable combination of quality, atmosphere and affordability all under one roof, it’s no wonder Benny Mazzetto’s is hailed as the best pizza spot in Summerville SC!

#12 D’Allesandro’s Pizza Nexton

First, let’s talk about the atmosphere. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with quaint wooden tables and chairs—perfect for a romantic dinner, or just a fun night out with friends. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, which really helps to set the mood of this place.

Now, for the pizza! D’Allesandro’s offers an amazing selection of thin-crust pizzas that are freshly made in their brick ovens. I had the pepperoni and mushroom pizza and it was delicious! The cheese was gooey and flavorful, with perfectly crisped pepperoni slices throughout. The mushrooms added a great earthy taste and texture to the pizza as well.

In addition to their mouthwatering pizzas, they also offer a variety of sides like garlic knots, salads, and even vegan options if you’re looking for something on the healthier side. The portions are generous too; one slice of pizza could easily be enough for two people!

After dining here multiple times, I have concluded that D’Allesandros Pizza Nexton is my favorite spot for grabbing some of the best pizza in Summerville SC! Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening out or just wanna chow down on some tasty ‘za with friends, this place is sure to hit all the right spots.
