I’ve been around the world, tasted pizza from France to India, but I always come back to the good ol’ U.S. of A for some delicious pizza pies. As part of my research, I recently set out on a mission to find the Best Pizza in New London CT.

The rules were simple—eat 12 pizzas and then declare a winner. And let me tell you, it was no easy feat! Along the way, there was a lot of laughing and even more cheese-filled days spent exploring the city’s best destinations. But at last, here I am with my top pick!

#1 Supreme Pizza

The first thing that strikes you when you enter is the smell of fresh dough baking in their wood-fired oven. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, making for a very pleasant atmosphere.

When it came to taste testing the pizza, I was blown away by the flavors. The ingredients were all freshly prepared and the crust was cooked to perfection. It was a great balance between crispiness and chewiness, definitely something I haven’t seen elsewhere. I tried several pies from their menu and each one just got better and better – from the tangy margherita to the decadent Supreme Special with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, peppers and olives.

At Supreme Pizza, they really do strive for excellence — it’s evident in everything they do here! From the outstanding service to their delicious pizzas, you can tell they put real care into creating a memorable experience each time you visit. For anyone looking for some of the best pizza in New London CT, Supreme Pizza should be at the top of your list!

#2 Ocean Pizza Restaurant and Seafood House

The environment was really pleasant, definitely a great place to take your family or just hang out with friends and tourists. The ambience was nice and comfortable, plus they served alcoholic beverages which made the experience that much better.

On top of it all, they also had a kids menu with one of the widest selections I’ve ever seen! And for dessert? It doesn’t get any better than this – definitely worth trying out!

Unfortunately, the only downside was that they don’t offer delivery service. Otherwise, this is an incredible pizza spot that I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for delicious food in New London CT.

#3 Pizzarama Drive-In

This amazing little gem of a place is a great place to go for a casual slice of deliciousness. Indeed, Pizzarama Drive-In serves up some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted.

The atmosphere at Pizzarama Drive-In is one of laid back relaxation and fun. It’s an ideal spot for both families and those looking for an informal bite to eat. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making sure we were well taken care of during our visit.

But enough about the atmosphere – let’s talk pizza! This is what every customer comes here for, after all. And let me tell you, Pizzarama Drive-In definitely delivers when it comes to quality pizzas. Every single pizza we tried was cooked perfectly with that golden crispiness on the outside and a light, fluffy texture on the inside. The crust had just the right amount of charring on it, making each bite full of flavor.

The toppings were just as impressive – they used only fresh ingredients and cooked them to perfection before putting them on the doughy base. Whether you’re opting for Hawaiian or pepperoni (or something else entirely!), everything tastes great here!

#4 Recovery Room Restaurant

It all starts with the array of unique and delicious toppings; from classic pepperoni to more unusual options like artichoke hearts and feta cheese. The selection is truly impressive, allowing for a different pizza experience every visit.

The crust is also something special. It’s thin but possesses enough structure to stand up to the topping loads, whilst still maintaining a great flavor. Bravo!

If that weren’t enough, the atmosphere of Recovery Room Restaurant is one of its best features – it’s laid back and friendly, making you feel right at home while you enjoy your pie. Plus they have great beer on tap as well! And what food critic worth their salt doesn’t love having a good locally-brewed beer with their pizza?

All in all, this place has really earned its spot as having some of the best pizza in New London CT – don’t miss out on a great experience and try it for yourself!

#5 Illiano’s Real Italian Pizzeria

The atmosphere is warm, lively and colorful. You walk in and immediately feel transported to Italy. As soon as I sat down at a table, I was presented with a fresh-baked garlic bread that melted in my mouth.

For my pizzas, I got an amazing spinach and feta pie as my first choice. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, which allowed the flavor of the spinach, feta, and other toppings to really stand out. The second pizza I chose was a classic pepperoni. It was cooked to perfection and the cheese was flavorful but not overpowering — just how it should be!

With both pizzas being delicious, I can safely say Illiano’s Real Italian Pizzeria has some of the best pizza in New London CT! You won’t be disappointed if you make this your go-to spot for pizza night!

#6 The Rolling Tomato

The atmosphere is relaxed, but still lively. The staff are friendly and the service is speedy. As for the pizza itself, the crust is thin yet flakey and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. I particularly love their signature deep-dish variety with pepperoni, sausage and onions. Yum!

What I love most about this place is that they don’t skimp on quality. Every pizza here comes out with a perfectly crispy crust and just enough cheese so as not to overwhelm the other flavors. It’s definitely a place where you can get your money’s worth – no soggy or burnt crusts here!

All in all, The Rolling Tomato serves up some of the best pizza in New London CT! If you’re ever in town looking for a delicious slice of pie, this should be your first stop!

From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this place was something special. The atmosphere was bustling, yet relaxed and inviting. The staff were friendly and happy to answer any questions I had, and the pizza was absolutely delicious.

I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza and it did not disappoint! The crust was perfectly cooked with a crunchy exterior and a light fluffy interior. The cheese melted perfectly over the top and the pepperoni added the perfect amount of flavor with each bite.

Overall, I would highly recommend College Pizza for anyone looking for an excellent slice of pizza in New London CT. It definitely lives up to its reputation as some of the best pizza around!

The decor is simple, yet inviting and the staff provide friendly service. The prices are great and they offer a large selection of pizzas that are simply delicious. Whether you want something classic like a Margarita pizza or something more exotic with jalapenos and mushrooms, Pizza Palace has it all.

The pizzas here definitely stand out from the competition. The crusts are thin and crispy while still being full of flavor. Every bite is loaded with gooey cheese, cooked to perfection. I especially love the wide variety of zesty toppings they offer – it’s truly one-of-a-kind pizza!

#9 Woodfellas Pizza & Wings

When I walked in, the smell of authentic Italian pizza immediately filled my nose. It was like being in Rome all over again! The pizza crust was perfectly thin with a nice crispness to it and the tomato sauce was perfectly sweet and tangy.

The toppings were fresh and plentiful – there was something for everyone! I tried the classic margherita, which had buffalo mozzarella, basil and oregano – it was incredible! The cheese melted beautifully on top of the crust.

The wings were also delicious – they had just the right amount of spice and sweetness. They were served with homemade ranch dressing that had a great flavor profile.

Overall, I give Woodfellas Pizza & Wings two thumbs up for their amazing pizzas and wings. The atmosphere is fun and casual so it’s great for a night out or just a quick meal. Best pizza in New London CT? You betcha!

#10 Empire Pizza

I mean, come on – who can resist a slice (or three!) of their legendary pepperoni pie? It’s a classic that never gets old. The thin and crispy crust combined with the perfect amount of sauce is simply heavenly.

I was also pleasantly surprised to find they offer some unique topping options as well, such as artichoke hearts and mushrooms. I love getting creative with my pizza combinations at Empire Pizza!

What really sets this place apart from other pizza restaurants though is their amazing staff. Everyone exuded a genuine friendliness that made me feel right at home. They always put in extra effort to make sure I had the best dining experience possible.

Overall, Empire Pizza is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for the best pizza in New London CT!

#11 Pano’s Pizza

The cheese was exceptionally flavorful, and the crust was light and crispy. The sauce had a perfect balance of herbs and spices. And, to top it all off, the toppings were cooked to perfection with great freshness and flavor.

The atmosphere at Pano’s Pizza adds to the enjoyment of the experience. It’s cozy and inviting, like you’ve stepped into a true Italian pizzeria. The staff is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience possible.

The prices are incredibly reasonable for such high-quality pizza, so it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re ever in New London CT! I highly recommend Pano’s Pizza as the best pizza in New London CT!
