After tasting pizza all over the world, I can confidently say that Duck NC is home to some of the best pizza around. Out of the twelve pizza places I’ve tried in this area, there were some clear standouts!

In this article, I’ll be reviewing the best pies I sampled (in a surprisingly humorous and lighthearted tone!) and sharing why Duck NC is worth a visit for anyone looking for a delicious slice of pizza. Read on for my full review of the top pizzas in Duck NC!

#1 Pizza Stop

I was immediately impressed by their fast and friendly service. The smell of deliciously cooked pizza filled the room, and the employees were so friendly that I found myself wanting to hang out for a bit!

The ingredients used for their pizzas are top-notch. I could tell that each ingredient had been carefully chosen to enhance the flavor of the pizza. The crust was light and fluffy, the sauce was rich yet subtle, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful.

The overall experience at Pizza Stop was fantastic! They have a great atmosphere, delicious food, and reasonable prices. It’s definitely worthy of a good review from this traveling food critic!

#2 Corolla Pizza & Deli

I was skeptical at first when I heard about this place since, after all, I’m a globe-trotting food critic and this joint was located in a small beach town. But boy, was I wrong!

The pizza here is cooked to absolute perfection with the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and crust. The mild but flavorful toppings add an extra kick that’s hard to beat. The decor is superbly fitting for the beach town – rustic wood counters and walls paired with colorful ingredients lining the shelves give the place a homey feel.

The staff was especially friendly, too! All of our questions were answered promptly and they even gave us some helpful recommendations on additional toppings to try out that made the pizza even better.

Overall, Corolla Pizza & Deli has definitely earned its title as one of Duck NC’s best pizzerias – highly recommend giving them a visit if you’re ever in town!

#3 Wiseguys Pies

I recently visited Wiseguys Pies, and to say I was impressed is an understatement. From the moment I stepped in the door, I knew this place was special. The staff greeted me warmly and everyone had a smile on their face.

The menu was extensive, with pizzas of all kinds for every palate. As a pizza connoisseur, I opted for one of their specialty pies- their signature Wiseguy’s Special- and it did not disappoint! The crust was crispy and thin, while the toppings of pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms were perfectly cooked.

What really set Wiseguys Pies apart from other restaurants was their dedication to quality ingredients. All their meats are locally sourced from nearby farms, their cheese is made in house with fresh milk, and they use only the freshest vegetables from local farmers markets. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful.

After finishing my meal there I can honestly say that this restaurant serves some of the best pizza in Duck NC! It’s no wonder why people travel far and wide to enjoy a slice at Wiseguys Pies- it’s definitely worth the trip!

#4 Southern Shores Pizza & Deli

I’m quite the pizza connoisseur, so when I heard about Southern Shores Pizza & Deli, I couldn’t wait to check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was really friendly, and all of the ingredients looked fresh and delicious!

When I finally grabbed a slice of their signature “Duck Special” pizza, I was blown away. The flavor combination was amazing – a perfect blend of tomato sauce, cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers. The crust was thin and crispy without being too crust-y or greasy. It’s definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!

If you’re ever in Duck NC looking for some great pizza – you have to try Southern Shores Pizza & Deli. There’s something for everyone at this local favorite from classic pizzas to calzones to subs and more. Trust me – this is definitely the spot for some of the best pizza in Duck NC!

#5 Slice Pizzeria

I was instantly impressed by the mouth-watering aroma that hit my nose when I arrived. It’s clear they take pride in creating their pizzas, as the quality of ingredients is top notch.

When I asked for the best pizza on their menu, the staff were more than happy to assist me. Before I knew it I had a cheesy delight in front of me with fresh tomatoes, olives and mushrooms sprinkled on top.

The crust was perfectly cooked on the outside and still soft inside, giving it a delightful texture. All combined with delicious cheese, tomato sauce, and toppings this pizza was near perfection!

All in all, Slice Pizzeria is an outstanding eatery and serves up some of the best pizza you’ll find in Duck NC! If you’re ever in Duck NC – don’t forget to stop by Slice Pizzeria for an unforgettable experience!

#6 Sal’s New York Pizza

I’ve never eaten so many slices of pizza in my life! Sal’s New York Pizza has perfected the classic NY-style pizza with a chewy crust and just the right amount of tangy sauce.

The toppings are top notch – they only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients, like their pepperoni, capicola and sausage. And if you’re looking for something a little different, they have some unique topping combinations available.

But the absolute best part about Sal’s is the staff: They always seem to be in good spirits and are more than happy to answer any questions that you might have about their pizza or other items on their menu. Plus, their prices are extremely reasonable given the quality of their product and service.

If you want to enjoy some of the best pizza in Duck NC – or anywhere else for that matter – I highly recommend heading to Sal’s New York Pizza!

#7 Nags Head Pizza Company

I was so excited when I arrived at this restaurant. The building has a nice rustic vibe to it and the staff were friendly, which instantly put me at ease. As soon as I walked in, the wonderful aroma of pizza made my mouth water.

The menu was extensive and had all of the classic pizzas that you would find in the United States, but with some unique twists. I opted for the ‘Duck Pizza’, which had an amazing combination of ingredients including pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions and mozzarella cheese.

The pizza itself was delicious – the crust was perfectly crisp and flaky while the toppings were cooked to perfection. It had just enough seasoning to really bring out the flavors without overpowering them.

To top it off (literally!), Nags Head Pizza Company also has some amazing dessert pizzas that are worth saving room for! They have a wide range of sweet toppings like fruits, nutella, marshmallow and even cookie dough! Trust me when I say that these are next level delicious!

Over all I highly recommend visiting Nags Head Pizza Company if you’re in Duck NC looking for some authentic Italian-style pizza. It’s definitely one of the best places in town for a great slice!

#8 COSMO’S PIZZERIA

The vibe is fantastic, making it the perfect tourist spot. It’s not just the decorations, but also the delicious smell of melted cheese and pepperoni that make it so inviting. The staff are friendly and attentive; they’re always ready to offer a beer or suggest a topping for your pizza.

The pizzas here are amazing! The toppings are fresh and flavorful, and there are options for both meat-lovers and vegetarians alike. Their most popular item? A mouthwatering combination of pepperoni, black olives, mushrooms and garlic – it really is divine! And if you’ve still got room after dinner (which I rarely do!), you can finish off with their delicious desserts like Italian gelato or chocolate-dipped cannoli.

The only thing to be aware of is that COSMO’S PIZZERIA doesn’t do delivery; you have to come to them instead! But trust me when I say it’s worth the journey – this place serves up some of the best pizza in Duck NC!

#9 Max’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria

From the moment I stepped foot in the place it was clear that pizza is their specialty. The mouthwatering aroma of wafting from the ovens was an immediate sign that this place takes their pizza seriously. The staff was friendly and welcoming, eager to hear my opinion as I tasted their food.

As I waited for my order to arrive, I looked around at the décor. It had a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere which encouraged me to stay and enjoy my meal.

When my order arrived, I was not disappointed. The crust was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunchiness and flavor, while the toppings were tantalizingly fresh and flavorful. I could tell that they put a lot of care into making each slice just right.

Overall, Max’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria serves up some of the best pizza in Duck NC. Their friendly service combined with delicious food make for a great pizza experience that can’t be beat!

#10 Dare Devil’s Pizzeria

I’m not exaggerating when I say the pizza here is out of this world. The crust was cooked to perfection and the toppings were extraordinary. There’s a huge variety too, from classic cheese pies to more creative combinations like Hawaiian BBQ or even pepperoni and pineapple!

The atmosphere of Dare Devil’s Pizzeria is top notch. Not only do they serve alcohol (and hard liquor!), but they also have a kid’s menu and dessert options as well! It’s a great tourist spot, as well as a great place to watch sports or just hang out with friends.

The only downside of Dare Devil’s Pizzeria that I could find was that they don’t offer delivery – however, it’s definitely worth the trip to get their delicious pizza made fresh just for you!

In conclusion, Dare Devil’s Pizzeria has rightfully earned its nickname of being the best pizza in Duck NC, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent slice of pie!

#11 Garden Deli & Pizzeria

I visited this delightful little pizzeria for the first time and was immediately blown away by their attention to detail. They make all of their own dough from scratch every day, and it shows! The pizza crust was perfectly crispy yet still had some chew to it.

The tomato sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and is cooked to perfection, giving each bite a nice balance between savory and sweet. To top it off, the cheese is plentiful and always melted evenly.

But perhaps my favorite part about Garden Deli & Pizzeria is that they offer a wide variety of toppings with something to please everyone. I sampled their pepperoni pizza which came laden with crisp pepperoni, tangy olives, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and plenty of melted cheese goodness. Each ingredient worked together harmoniously creating an unforgettable flavor combination.

In conclusion, if you are looking for authentic Italian-style pizza in Duck NC then look no further than Garden Deli & Pizzeria. It’s probably the best pizza in town!

#12 Vinny’s Pizza Joint

The toppings were extremely fresh, the sauce was just right and the crust was cooked to perfection. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring each slice arrives piping hot and tasting just like it was made in Italy.

It’s no wonder people flock to Vinny’s Pizza Joint from all over Duck NC for a taste of this Italian inspired classic. The atmosphere at Vinny’s Pizza Joint is casual and welcoming – it can get quite busy on a Friday night but its always worth the wait!

I’d highly recommend stopping by Vinny’s Pizza Joint for a taste of the best pizza in Duck NC. You won’t regret it!
