I’ve tasted pizza all over the world. From Naples to New York City, from Rome to Chicago, I’ve consumed many pies on my journey. So believe me when I say that Towson has some of the best pizza options around.

This article is a review of 12 different establishments in Towson known for their delicious pizzas. I’m looking forward to trying them all and finding out which one takes the title of Best Pizza in Towson! It’s going to be a tough decision between slices and pies, but with a lighthearted and humorous approach, hopefully it won’t be too hard.

#1 Neo Pizza & Taphouse

My first impression of this place was that it wasn’t your average pizza joint. Instead, it was a trendy spot full of energy and atmosphere. The menu had a great selection of pizzas, so I ordered the classic margherita and the veggie-loaded Supreme.

The margherita was an absolute delight – the sauce was flavorful, the cheese was creamy, and the crust had just the right amount of crunch. It really felt like eating pizza in Italy! As for the Supreme? Well, let me tell you – it was stacked with veggies! Every bite had something different to offer – mushrooms, peppers, olives… it even had vegan cheese.

Service-wise, Neo Pizza & Taphouse did not disappoint either. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. She answered all our questions and made sure we were taking care of – despite being one of the busiest places around town!

All in all, Neo Pizza & Taphouse is easily one of Towson’s best Pizza destinations – if not THE best. Even after traveling around tasting pizzas from all over the world – these pies definitely held their own!

#2 Mario’s Original Pizza & Pasta

The atmosphere at Mario’s is inviting and cozy, just like a classic Italian pizzeria should be. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made my visit even more enjoyable.

I tried one of their classic slices and it was delicious! The crust was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch, the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I’m telling you, these guys know how to make pizza!

I also got to try an item from the pasta menu – the Fettuccine Alfredo. Wow, that was good too! The sauce was creamy and flavorful and the fettuccine cooked al dente – perfect.

Overall, Mario’s Original Pizza & Pasta definitely delivers on amazing pizza and great pasta dishes. If you’re looking for the best pizza in Towson, you have to visit Mario’s!

#3 Ledo Pizza

You know it’s a great pizza place when the aroma of freshly-baked dough wafts out into the street. I’m sure my mouth was already watering as I stepped through their doors, and what a sight to behold! The inside of Ledo Pizza is cozy and inviting – exactly the right atmosphere for chowing down on some deliciousness.

My first order at Ledo Pizza was an extra large with five toppings – sausage, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and black olives. This pie was incredible! The crust was perfectly cooked and had a great balance between crunchy and chewy. The ingredients were completely fresh, and each topping added just the right amount of flavor to make this pie one of the best I’ve ever had.

I also tried a calzone filled with ricotta cheese and pepperoni – another tasty delight that didn’t last long after it hit the table! Once again, all the ingredients complemented each other perfectly, creating one of those magical pizzas that leaves you wanting more.

Simply put, Ledo Pizza really knows how to make an amazing pizza! Everything from their perfect crusts to their top-notch ingredients has made this one of my favorite places to eat in Towson. If you’re looking for some serious deliciousness in your life then you need to check out Ledo Pizza – it’s easily some of the best pizza in town!

#4 Pasta Mista of Towson

My first impression stepping into the restaurant was amazing. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and cozy – perfect for enjoying an incredible pizza. The staff were also friendly, helpful and attentive which made the experience even more enjoyable.

You need to be prepared to get your hands dirty as they only serve up thin-crust style pizza, but boy is it worth it! Every bite melted in my mouth and left me wanting more. Not only did they have the traditional favorites like pepperoni, sausage and cheese but there were also plenty of vegetarian options for those who prefer meatless pies.

Unfortunately, Pasta Mista doesn’t offer delivery or takeout so you’ll have to visit them in person if you want a slice of their delicious pizza. But trust me when I tell you that it’s worth the trip! All in all, this place has some of the best pizza in Towson, so don’t miss out on this gem!

#5 G T Pizza

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for a casual pizza night. The counter staff is genial, always willing to offer helpful advice or suggestions on what to order.

The pizzas themselves are divine. I’ve tried pepperoni multi-cheese, veggie supreme and garlic chicken supreme pizzas – all cooked to perfection and packed with flavour. The crust is pleasantly crunchy and the cheese is gooey and delicious.

I can confidently say that G T Pizza has some of the best pizza in towson – if not the best! Its menu offers something for everyone; from classic pizza styles, to unique twists on old favourites.

If you’re ever looking for a great pizza experience in Towson, then you should definitely give G T Pizza a try! I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

#6 Cheezy’s Pizza & Subs

The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered a hot cheese pizza with extra pepperoni, and it was cooked to perfection. The crust was just the right thinness, not too thick or doughy, and the cheese was melted perfectly. The pepperoni had just the right amount of spice, which added an interesting flavor to the dish.

My dining companion decided on a chicken parmesan sub. It was simply outstanding; the bread was crisp yet soft, and it had just enough sauce to give it some zest without being overwhelming. Plus it came with a side salad that was surprisingly fresh for a pizza restaurant.

All in all we both enjoyed our dining experience at Cheezy’s Pizza & Subs immensely! I can confidently say that this is honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted in Towson. If you’re looking for delicious food in an inviting atmosphere then look no further than Cheezy’s Pizza & Subs!

#7 Underground Pizza Towson

I recently had the opportunity to try their signature dish, the ‘Underground Special’. It was definitely a special experience! With layers of cheese, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and olives, this pizza has all the classic ingredients for a delicious pie.

The crust was light and crispy and cooked to perfection. Each bite was full of flavor with just enough grease for a satisfying taste. The toppings were fresh and flavorful and did not feel overbearing or undercooked – they were the perfect combination of ingredients.

The atmosphere at Underground Pizza Towson was awesome too! With its warmly lit interior, vibrant murals on the walls, and good old rock music playing in the background – it felt like I had stepped into an underground Italian pizzeria right in my own town.

In my opinion, Underground Pizza Towson has some of the best pizza in Towson – if not even beyond that! Whether you’re grabbing it to go or eating in-house, I highly recommend you check out this place.

#8 Earth, Wood & Fire – Baltimore

The atmosphere is always so inviting and cozy that I just want to curl up on the couch with some pizza and never leave. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful in finding the perfect pizza for me.

The toppings they offer are creative and delicious. From a classic Margherita Pizza to their signature Italian Delight with Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and caramelized garlic – you can always find something new to try!

The crust is thin, but not too thick or chewy. They also have gluten free options available which I appreciate as a celiac.

I also love the drinks they serve here – great selection of wine, beer, and cocktails.

All-in-all Earth Wood & Fire is one of my favorite places for pizza in Towson – hands down the best!

#9 Olympia Pizzeria

I was intrigued to visit this pizzeria as I had heard great things about the quality of their pizza. The interior of the restaurant had a rustic charm that immediately set the tone for an enjoyable meal.

The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, discussing with me all the ingredients that went into each pizza on offer. It was clear they put a lot of time and effort into making each dish to perfection.

My personal favorite was their custom made classic Italian pizza. The thin crust coupled with a generous helping of mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce made for a delicious combination that I’ve otherwise only experienced in Italy! It really hit the spot and left me feeling completely satisfied.

I’m not one to leave without trying something sweet, so I opted for their Nutella calzone – it certainly didn’t disappoint! It had that perfect balance between sweet and savory thanks to its succulent chocolate filling laced with crushed hazelnuts.

If you’re looking for the best pizza in Towson, then Olympus Pizzeria is definitely worth a visit!

#10 Pepe’s

The first thing I noticed as I walked in the door was the intoxicating aroma of fresh-baked dough. The bright and cheery atmosphere was also a plus! The staff were all very friendly, which really added to my overall experience.

I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza and it did not disappoint. The crust was perfectly crunchy and the tomato sauce paired beautifully with the melted cheese. As an Italian foodie, it’s hard to find great pizza, but Pepe’s definitely satisfied my craving!

I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious, high-quality pizza. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re ever in Towson and looking for a great pizza experience!

#11 MOD Pizza

My pizza experience began as soon as I stepped through the doors. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

I ordered the classic MOD Pizza—a simple yet delicious combination of mozzarella, Parmesan, red sauce, and basil. To top it off, I added some pepperoni. It came out perfectly crispy with a hint of sweetness that tantalized my taste buds. I could tell right away that someone in the kitchen knew their way around a pizza oven!

The highlight of my visit came when I tried their signature creation—the MODwich®. It’s a double-crusted sandwich filled with melted provolone cheese, house-made Italian sausage, marinara sauce, spinach, ricotta cheese and homemade pesto! Each bite was full of flavor and even more incredible than the last one.

In conclusion, MOD Pizza has earned my seal of approval as the best pizza in Towson! Whether you’re looking for a classic combo or something new and exciting like their signature MODwich®, you won’t be disappointed with your meal here. Highly recommended!

#12 Italian Gardens

I was amazed by the variety of toppings available at Italian Gardens. From classic pepperoni and sausage to creative choices such as artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes, they truly have something for everyone. The crust was especially impressive – it had just the right amount of crunchy yet chewy texture that made it stand out among other pizzas I’ve tried.

The service at Italian Gardens was also top notch. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our meal, helping us pick out the perfect combination of toppings and recommending items on the menu we hadn’t considered before.

In addition to great pizza, Italian Gardens offers a wide selection of sides such as salads, garlic breadsticks, and creamy alfredo pasta dishes. And if you’re looking for a unique dessert after your meal, they offer gelato in a variety of flavors.

All in all, I would confidently recommend Italian Gardens if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Towson!
