I’m here to tell you about my journey tasting some of the best pizza Wake Forest has to offer. I’ve tried twelve different places, so you know I’m not playing around! As was my experience in every place I visited, each one had something unique and delicious about it.

#1 Pie-Zano’s Pizzeria

Their crust is as good as it gets, with a perfect mix of crunchiness and chewiness. The sauce is just the right blend of sweetness and spice, making each bite unique and delicious. And their selection of toppings is second to none! Did someone say mushrooms?!

And don’t even get me started on their cheese! It’s the perfect combination of gooey goodness and flavorful sharpness. I’m convinced that the deliciousness doesn’t come from this world—it must come from another dimension!

I also have to give credit where credit is due for their impeccable customer service. Every time I visit, I’m always greeted with a friendly smile and prompt service. Their servers are well-versed in pizza knowledge so they can easily answer any questions I have about my order or ingredients used in their pizzas.

All in all, Pie-Zano’s Pizzeria really does have some of the best pizza in Wake Forest. So if you’re ever passing through, be sure to check them out! You won’t regret it!

#2 Mario’s Pizzeria

The first thing that got me salivating was the smell of fresh dough and bubbling cheese. Once I bit into my slice, all the ingredients combined to give me an explosion of flavor that can only be described as a pizza lover’s paradise!

The crust was just the right mix of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cheese was just cheesy enough to make my mouth water, while the toppings added an extra bit of flavor. All in all, it made for a near-perfect pizza experience.

What really sets Mario’s apart from other pizzerias is their level of service and attention to detail. Every order is taken with care and precision and always comes out hot and fresh. Not only that, but the staff are super friendly and courteous, which always makes for a great dining experience.

All in all, I would highly recommend Mario’s Pizzeria if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Wake Forest!

#3 MOD Pizza

First off, let me say that the atmosphere at MOD Pizza is top notch. The industrial vibe screams hipster – which I absolutely love – and with the pizza oven built into the wall, it adds a touch of authenticity to the place.

The menu is full of mouth-watering options for any type of pizza lover like myself. Additionally, you can customize your own pizza with piles of toppings and sauces to choose from – clearly, these guys know their stuff when it comes to pizza.

And when it comes to taste? Delicious! My absolute favorite was the Bayou Heat, a southern style creation made with spicy sausage, banana peppers and a delicious honey sriracha sauce. So flavorful!

All in all the best pizza in Wake Forest award goes to MOD Pizza. If you’re ever in town, do yourself a favor and give them a try!

#4 Over the Falls

The atmosphere is great for both tourists and sports fans alike. While I didn’t get to stay long enough to watch any games, I’m sure it’s a great spot for that. The décor captures the spirit of Wake Forest and the staff were so friendly.

When it came to the pizza, I was totally blown away. They had all my favorite toppings – from pepperoni to jalapenos, so no one’s left hungry. Even better, they offer vegetarian options! And did I mention they serve alcohol? Including some hard liquor?! What more could you want?

Speaking of wants…their dessert selection is to die for! I’m already fantasizing over their tiramisu and homemade chocolate cake. Perfect end would be an understatement!

My only complaint about Over the Falls would be that they don’t offer delivery, which can be a bit of a hassle when you’re really in need of that good pizza fix…otherwise, you should definitely make a point to check them out if you’re in Wake Forest!

#5 George’s Pizzeria

On this particular visit, I decided to go for the classic Margherita pizza with extra cheese and a handful of red pepper flakes. The dough had the perfect crunch and chewiness to it, and the topping combination was simply sublime. The melted cheese was like heaven in my mouth!

The atmosphere at George’s Pizzeria is also fantastic – It’s a true family-friendly spot where everyone can come together over good grub. They also have an impressive selection of craft beer on tap, which pairs wonderfully with their pizzas. Plus, they have outdoor seating so you can dine al fresco on a sunny day!

All in all, George’s Pizzeria is definitely one of the best places to find delicious pizza in Wake Forest. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever in town – trust me, you won’t regret it!

#6 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

The setup is unique. You order your pizza and they give you the ingredients to bake it yourself. I figured there was no way that could result in a good pizza, but I was wrong! The ingredients were fresh, the crust was perfectly cooked, and the taste was unbeatable.

Not only were their pizzas great, but the people who work here were super friendly and helpful as well. They provided me with tips on how to best prepare my pizza, which came in handy since I had never done something like this before.

In short, Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza is an amazing place to get some of the best pizza in Wake Forest! Not only do they have delicious pizzas, but their staff is knowledgeable and welcoming too. I highly recommend giving them a try next time you’re looking for a quality home-cooked meal!

#7 Schiano’s

The decor at Schiano’s could be described as both quaint and cozy. Upon entering, you’re immediately greeted by the delicious smell of pizza baking in the oven. An array of classic Italian dishes line the menu and are complemented with a wide selection of beers and specialty cocktails.

I decided to try the signature Schiano pie – a thin crust pizza topped with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, Italian sausage, mushrooms, basil and garlic. The first bite was absolute bliss! The combination of flavors was honestly perfect. I’ve had many gourmet pizzas in New York City but this one was even better!

The service at Schiano’s is also worth noting. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive throughout our meal. She made sure we had everything we wanted while ensuring that our food came out quickly so that it stayed hot and fresh.

All in all, my experience at Schiano’s was fantastic! If you’re looking for a great pizza joint in Wake Forest without having to travel all the way to NYC, Schiano’s is definitely the place to go!

#8 Il Bacio Italian Grill and Pizzeria

The restaurant itself is very cozy and inviting, with a fire pit and outdoor seating area. Inside you can expect to find a variety of Italian dishes, from pizza to pasta.

I have to say that the star of the show is definitely their pizza. The crust is light, crisp, and golden brown. They use fresh ingredients for their toppings, like sweet Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, olives – all of it was cooked perfectly! The sauce was flavorful without being too overwhelming or spicy.

In addition to the amazing pizza, I found myself enjoying other menu items such as the eggplant parmesan and lasagna. Both were cooked well and tasted great!

Finally, I must mention their dessert menu. From cheesecake to cannolis – they’ve got it all! Make sure you save room for one of these delicious treats when you visit Il Bacio.

All in all my experience at Il Bacio Italian Grill and Pizzeria was great – they truly have some of the best pizza in Wake Forest!

#9 Bella Italia Pizzeria

I was immediately impressed by the ambiance as soon as I stepped in, with the inviting Italian décor and pleasant staff. As soon as I got a whiff of what they were cooking up, my anticipation grew even more.

The pizza was neatly presented; circles of perfection topped with a variety of toppings. With one bite, I knew why this was hailed as one of the best pizza restaurants in Wake Forest. The crust was cooked to perfection and the toppings were so fresh and flavorful, it felt like I had been taken straight to Italy!

But don’t worry, you don’t need to fly out of Wake Forest to enjoy Bella Italia Pizzeria. The friendly waiters and waitresses will make sure you’re just as satisfied here at home as if you were eating in Rome!

#10 Johnny’s Pizza (Wake Forest)

The atmosphere of the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It was cozy and inviting, with paper plates covering every table and friendly staff to greet us as soon as we walked in.

The pizza itself was delicious! The crust was crisp and light, just like I love it, and the sauce was flavorful – not too sweet or too salty – but just right. The pepperoni tasted fresh and juicy, while the cheese melted in my mouth. This is one of those pizzas where you keep discovering new flavors as you eat more slices…truly incredible!

The service at Johnny’s Pizza was also top notch – they definitely live up to their slogan, “Your Pizza Will Be Ready When You Are!” We had to wait a few minutes for our order since they make all their pizzas fresh and hand-tossed, but it was well worth the wait.

Overall, if you’re looking for excellent pizza in Wake Forest, you can’t go wrong with Johnny’s Pizza. I highly recommend this spot for an enjoyable pizza experience!

#11 Mellow Mushroom Wake Forest

I love the atmosphere of this place. It’s a hippie-style pizzeria with a psychedelic vibe and bright colors. I was immediately struck by the warm, welcoming atmosphere as soon as I walked in.

The pizza itself is something special. Every bite was incredibly flavorful and made with fresh ingredients and quality dough. The crust has just the right amount of crunch, and the toppings are savory and juicy. One of my favorites was the Magical Mystery Tour — a combination of pepperoni, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, and mozzarella cheese on red sauce. Talk about delicious!

The staff at Mellow Mushroom Wake Forest are also top notch. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful — they always make sure to give great recommendations if you’re having trouble deciding on a pizza flavor.

Overall, Mellow Mushroom Wake Forest has easily earned its spot as one of the best pizzas in Wake Forest — perhaps even the best! If you’re ever in the area looking for an incredible pie, head to Mellow Mushroom Wake Forest for an unforgettable pizza experience.

#12 Rudino’s Heritage

My visit started with a friendly welcome from the staff, making me feel right at home. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, perfect for enjoying a good pizza.

The menu at Rudino’s Heritage offered something for everyone. From classic favorites like pepperoni to exotic creations such as their signature “Rudino’s Volcano,” I had my pick of delicious options. The crust was thin and airy, yet firm enough to hold all of the toppings nicely. It had a great flavor that complemented the wide variety of toppings that were on offer.

The most impressive thing about Rudino’s Heritage is that they use only fresh ingredients in all of their pizzas. This means that you can be sure what you’re eating is always top-notch quality. In addition, they are very accommodating if you have any dietary restrictions or special requests; they truly want your experience to be perfect!

Overall, my experience at Rudino’s Heritage was outstanding and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for some incredible pizzas in Wake Forest. It definitely lives up to its nickname: “Percy’s Paradise!”
