I’ve sampled pizza from 12 different restaurants around the area and I’m here to tell you who truly has the best pies.

But before I get into all of that, I’d like to take a moment to set the mood – after all, pizza is meant to be enjoyed in a lighthearted and humorous atmosphere. So sit back, relax, and prepare your tastebuds for adventure as we embark on a quest to find the best pizza in Apex NC!

#1 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

I recently took a trip out to Apex and had the chance to try Papa Murphy’s. I decided to get their signature Pepperoni pizza and I don’t think I’ll ever eat another pizza again. The crust was perfection – crispy, yet still chewy in all the right places. The mozzarella cheese was fresh and flavorful, and the pepperonis were just the right size – not too big and not too small.

The real star of the show was the sauce. The tomato sauce had a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess that brought the whole pizza together harmoniously. And talk about generous with it, they definitely put their heart into that. Overall, this was one fantastic pizza experience.

I can honestly say that Papa Murphy’s absolutely destroyed any expectations I had in terms of great tasting pizza! If you’re ever in Apex NC, do yourself a favor and check out Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza – it’s hands down the best pizza in town.

#2 Manhattan Pizza

Upon walking into the restaurant, I was immediately taken aback by the friendly and inviting atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating and even gave me some fantastic recommendations as to what to order.

I decided upon two of their specialty pizzas: The Philly Cheese Steak Pizza, which comes topped with shredded steak, onions, mushrooms, green peppers and cheddar cheese; and the Mango Habanero Pizza loaded with marinated mango slices, spicy habaneros, red onion and mozzarella cheese. Both of these pizzas were absolutely mouth watering!

The crust was cooked to perfection – it was thin and slightly crisp on the outside yet light and airy in the center. The flavors of each topping complemented each other perfectly without overwhelming one another.

In addition to their excellent pizza selection, Manhattan Pizza also has a great selection of salads and pastas. Plus, they offer a variety of vegan-friendly options that are sure to please even the most discerning palate.

Overall, Manhattan Pizza is an outstanding pizza option in Apex NC! If you’re looking for an amazing meal that won’t break your budget, look no further than this delightful eatery!

#3 Mezza Luna Pizzeria

My first impression was that Mezza Luna has a really cool atmosphere. There’s some great seating options, and it’s the kind of restaurant where you can just sit back and relax with friends or family.

The pizza here is cooked to perfection – it’s crisp but not too crunchy, and has a great flavor no matter what toppings you choose. Plus they have vegetarian options (which I love) as well as a kid’s menu, so everyone can find something they like! You’ll also be happy to know that there is an extensive drinks menu – from beer to wine – so truly make your meal one to remember.

As for downsides, the only thing missing here is delivery service – so you’ll need to head over in person if you want a slice of Mezza Luna’s delicious pizza.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend checking out Mezza Luna Pizzeria – it’s some of the best pizza in Apex NC!

#4 Romeo’s Pizza

I’ll admit that I was a bit skeptical when I first stepped in the door. After all, how could a small pizza joint in Apex compete with some of the bigger, more well-known names? But boy was I wrong!

First and foremost, their crust is out of this world. It’s perfectly thin and crispy yet still manages to hold up to any toppings you throw on it. The cheese is also excellent – full-flavored and rich with just the right amount of heat. And the sauce? Oh my goodness – it’s amazing! Spicy but not overwhelmingly so, with notes of garlic and oregano.

Overall, Romeo’s Pizza has redefined what great pizza can be. I’m already planning my next visit!

#5 Salvio’s Pizzeria

The atmosphere in Salvio’s is tremendous. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming, the staff are friendly, and the background music helps to set the mood for a great pizza-eating experience.

I sampled a couple of pies from their menu, and I was blown away by the quality of their pizza. They use only fresh ingredients, so you know that what you’re getting is top-notch. And the flavor! Everything was cooked to perfection–the toppings were flavorful and not overly salty, and the crust was light yet chewy. Truly sublime.

But it doesn’t end there. Salvio’s also offers some great sides if you’re looking for something more than just pizza. Their garlic knots are out of this world–not too greasy but still crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle–and their salads are crisp and colorful with just the right balance of flavors to match their delicious pizzas.

All in all, I’d say that Salvio’s Pizzeria is just about as good as it gets when you’re looking for pizza in Apex NC! Highly recommended!

#6 Mamma Mia Italian Bistro

The pizza here is unlike any I’ve had before. The crust is soft, yet crispy and loaded with the perfect amount of toppings. From classic pepperoni to their signature Mamma Mia Pie, you can’t go wrong. The dough is made from scratch every day, so it’s always fresh and delicious.

The atmosphere at Mamma Mia Italian Bistro is amazing too. The staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring that your experience is top-notch every time. Plus, there’s a jukebox to keep you entertained while you wait for your meal!

I was thoroughly impressed with my experience at Mamma Mia Italian Bistro – they have the best pizza in Apex NC! I definitely recommend giving them a try.

#7 Johnny’s Pizza Apex – Ten Ten & Holly Springs Road

I’ve had a slice of every kind of pizza on the menu, and every single one has been delicious. The best part about Johnny’s Pizza is their unique spin on classic recipes. From their take on a classic Margherita with creamy burrata to their Hawaiian pizza topped with chicken tikka masala and jalapenos, this place knows how to put an unexpected twist on the classics.

The crust is consistently light and chewy, with just the right amount of crunch. And the toppings are always fresh, and generously added with care.

If what you’re looking for is traditional Italian-style pizza at its finest, then this spot is definitely worth a visit. The staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring that each guest has a memorable experience.

In conclusion, after all my travels I can confidently say that Johnny’s Pizza Apex – Ten Ten & Holly Springs Road is the best pizza in Apex NC!

#8 Brothers Of New York Pizza

The first thing that struck me was the sheer variety of pizzas that this restaurant offers. They’ve got classic NY style thin-crust pies, thick and deep dish Sicilian slices, Detroit-style squares – you name it!

And the flavor? To die for! All the bases are made from scratch, using only quality ingredients and traditional techniques. The dough has just the right amount of chewiness, and the cheese is cooked to puffy perfection. You can also add a variety of toppings like banana peppers, pepperoni, or olives – whatever strikes your fancy!

The atmosphere at Brothers Of New York Pizza is also fantastic; it’s cozy and comfortable. It’s one of those places where everyone seems to know each other – it makes for a great local hangout spot. Their staff is beyond friendly, too! Plus, they have amazing weekly specials that make getting pizza even more enjoyable.

#9 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

I was initially skeptical, because walk-in pizza places are often hit-or-miss. But after my first bite, I knew that this pizza was worth the hype.

The crust is light and fluffy, yet somehow still sturdy enough to hold the toppings. The sauce is flavorful and balanced–not too sweet or acidic–and the variety of meats and veggies blend flawlessly with the cheese. The end result? A truly amazing pizza!

And what’s even better is that Papa Murphy’s lets you take the pizzas home to bake them yourself! This allows you to control how your pizza comes out–which means no more soggy crusts or burned cheese! #10 Johnny’s Pizza (Cary)

The crust was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy. The sauce had just the right amount of garlic, oregano and a hint of sweetness that had my taste buds dancing. The toppings were fresh and each bite was full of flavor.

I was also impressed with the atmosphere. The restaurant had a cozy vibe but still felt chic enough to hang out with friends for dinner. The service was prompt and friendly which made my visit even better.

In conclusion, I can confidently say that Johnny’s Pizza (Cary) has the best pizza in Apex NC! It’s definitely worth trying if you’re in town or passing through.

#11 MOD Pizza

I’m not exaggerating when I say that MOD Pizza blew my mind with the quality of their pizza. The crust was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of crunch. The tomato sauce was made from scratch, and it was simply divine! And to top it all off, the cheese was melted so perfectly that it felt like a hug from an old friend.

The toppings were also creative and flavorful. The restaurant offers classic toppings as well as some unique options that are not seen at other pizza places. One of my favorites is the electric buffalo chicken, which is utterly delicious!

Aside from the great food, MOD Pizza also has a really cool atmosphere. It’s a fun place to hang out with friends or family, and everyone can get something they’ll love – even the pickiest eaters!

Overall, if you’re looking for the best pizza in Apex NC, look no further than MOD Pizza. It is truly one of the best pizza experiences I’ve ever had!

#12 J & S New York Pizza

When first walking into the restaurant, I was taken aback by the atmosphere. The place had a warm and inviting feel to it with its classic red, white, and blue color scheme. The staff were all friendly and welcoming as they showed me to my table.

After browsing the menu and chatting with the staff about various ingredients used in the pizzas, I decided on one of their signature pies—the Supreme Special. It was loaded with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, olives, peppers and mozzarella cheese—all cooked together to perfection! The crust was fluffy yet crunchy and could be easily picked up without breaking apart. Each bite was an explosion of flavor; salty from the pepperoni, sweet from the peppers and savory from all the other toppings. Absolutely irresistible!

I’m pleased to say that J & S New York Pizza is one of my favorite pizza places after tasting their amazing creations. If you’re ever in Apex NC looking for great pizza then this is definitely worth checking out!
