I’m no stranger to sampling the best pizza from around the world, but I was curious to see what York PA had to offer. It turns out, this small city is hiding some real gems! After a few days of eating my way through more than a dozen pizza places in town, I have compiled my list of the best pizza in York PA.

The pizza here is top notch. It’s perfectly cooked, with a light and fluffy crust that’s just the right thickness. The sauce isn’t overpowering, but it still has great flavor, and the cheese is melted to perfection. And what really sets this place apart is the toppings – they definitely don’t skimp on them!

The atmosphere at The Copper Crust Co. is great, too. You can either eat in or take-out your pie and it’s always bustling with customers so you know you’re in for a good meal. Plus, their staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about their menu items so you definitely feel welcomed when you walk in.

#2 Archetype Pizza

The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. They have a wide variety of pizzas, so there’s something for everyone! I tried the Margherita pizza and it was fabulous – fresh tomato sauce and cheese just melted in my mouth.

The crust was amazingly crunchy without being too chewy or greasy. You can tell that they take great pride in their ingredients; the herbs were especially fragrant and flavorful!

I also sampled the Capricciosa pizza, with ham, mushrooms, olives and artichokes; that turned out to be just as delicious as the Margherita. It had such a unique flavor combination that I couldn’t help but rave about it to my tablemate – who ended up ordering one for herself!

In all, Archetype Pizza is definitely one of the best places to get pizza in York. The prices are reasonable, the ingredients are top-notch, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable enough that you’ll want to stay all night!

#3 Primo Pizza Express

When I stepped inside the restaurant I was instantly impressed. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable with cheerful employees. Plus, the cozy booths were ideal for dining in with friends.

As for the pizza itself, it was truly top-notch. Each slice had a perfect combination of sauce and cheese with a delicious crust that left me wanting more! Not to mention, the variety of toppings from pepperoni to anchovies really made each bite unique.

In addition to great pizza, I have to mention the quick service Primo Pizza Express provided. From ordering to delivery, my pizza arrived in no time at all!

Overall, if you’re looking for the best pizza in York then Primo Pizza Express is your go-to spot. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!

#4 Vincenzo’s Place

The crust was light and crisp and the bottom of the pizza had a nice crunch to it. The toppings were flavorful, with a good mix of vegetables and meats, all cooked perfectly. And of course, the cheese – oh, that delicious stretchy mozzarella!

The atmosphere in Vincenzo’s Place was fun and festive, with plenty of seating for large groups. The staff was friendly and helpful, always willing to chat and make sure that our food arrived quickly.

I can confidently say that Vincenzo’s Place creates some of the best pizza in York! If you’re looking for a great place to grab a slice or two while out on the town – or just want to enjoy a mouthwatering pie at home – be sure to stop by here. You won’t be disappointed!

#5 MOD Pizza

The atmosphere of the place is fun and vibrant and the staff are happy to see you. They offer a wide variety of creative toppings so you can make your own personal version of pizza perfection. I was in my glory being able to choose from dozens of combinations!

When it comes to the actual pizza, it was cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of gooey cheese and crispy crust. The sauce was tantalizingly tangy and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. I would try all kinds if I could, but it’s hard to resist going back for more of what they already made me.

I’d recommend MOD Pizza as the best pizza in York any day! If you’re looking for fresh ingredients, delicious crusts, and generous servings, then this is the spot for you! Now if only they could top it off with some free alcoholic beverages…

#6 Marco’s Pizza & Sweet Shack

The establishment is like a hidden oasis in the middle of the city, offering a variety of freshly made pizzas with astonishing toppings. The selection was quite extensive, but what truly caught my eye was the “Specialty Pizza.” It comes in two unique flavors: Margarita and Sicilian – both of which tantalized my taste buds!

The Margarita pizza has a garlic-basil olive oil, mozzarella cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and black olives. The Sicilian pizza has marinara sauce, spicy salami, slices of green bell pepper and red onions. Both were truly exquisite!

When it comes to the atmosphere, Marco’s Pizza & Sweet Shack offers a welcoming ambiance. The staff are friendly and attentive, making sure that customers feel right at home. Plus there’s always some sweet music playing in the background which sets the perfect mood for an enjoyable meal.

Overall I would highly recommend Marco’s Pizza & Sweet Shack to anyone looking for some of the best pizza in York!

#7 Memory Lane Pizza

They take the classic Italian flavors and bring them to life with fresh, local ingredients. No matter what topping you choose, every bite is sure to be delicious.

The crust is perfectly crunchy, yet still manages to stay light. The cheese is generous and melted just right. The toppings? They’re plentiful! Whether you want bacon, sausage, mushrooms or something else entirely, Memory Lane Pizza has it all.

But what really set them apart from other pizza places in the area is their attention to detail. Every pizza gets an extra sprinkle of Parmesan before it leaves the kitchen, making each one truly divine.

#8 Shakey Jakes Stromboli Pizza

I have to say that this pizza joint is an experience unlike any other. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt like I had become part of a small family. Everybody was so warm and welcoming.

The pizza, however, was what really made my mouth water. Their classic Stromboli creations are truly something else! The dough is cooked to perfection every single time and all of the toppings are incredibly fresh. Plus, there’s just something special about the homemade sauce they use.

To top it off, the staff make sure that you always get your order quickly and you never run out of drinks while you’re waiting. Plus, their prices are unbelievable considering the quality of food they offer.

If you haven’t been to Shakey Jakes Stromboli Pizza yet, you’re seriously missing out on some of the best pizza in York!

#9 Lattuca’s Sub Bar

The atmosphere at Lattuca’s Sub Bar is something else. It’s definitely a unique experience to walk through the door and be welcomed by the smell of freshly cooked pizza. The place is decorated in an old-fashioned Italian style, which gives it a certain charm.

The menu at Lattuca’s Sub Bar offers an amazing variety of pizzas, from classic constants such as cheese and pepperoni to more creative combinations like caprese and veggie-eggplant. Each pizza is made with fresh ingredients, so you’re sure to get a delicious meal every time!

But what I think really sets Lattuca’s Sub Bar apart is their signature “sub sandwich.” This salty marvel comes on a warm roll with your choice of cheese, sauce, and toppings. It’s like nothing else I’ve ever tasted!

Overall, I give Lattuca’s Sub Bar two thumbs up for their amazing pizza and their one-of-a-kind “sub sandwich.” If you haven’t been there yet, do yourself a favor and go soon – you won’t regret it!

#10 Marcello’s Pizza

When I arrived at Marcello’s, the smell of delicious pizza filled the air. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making for a pleasant dining experience. I could hardly wait to sample their signature pizza!

I ordered a classic pepperoni and mushroom pizza with extra cheese. It was cooked to perfection—just crispy enough on the outside but still soft and warm inside. Every bite was an absolute delight! The pepperonis were cooked perfectly and had that perfect spicy kick. The mushrooms added a nice earthy flavor, while the extra cheese made the pizza rich and creamy.

The staff at Marcello’s is extremely friendly and helpful, further adding to my wonderful experience there. Even though it can be hard to find seating on busy nights, they always make sure everyone finds a seat!

Marcello’s Pizza is definitely one of the best pizza places in York—it has certainly earned my stamp of approval as a food critic! If you’re ever looking for some delicious Italian food in York, this is the place to go.

#11 Pizza Al Bacio

When I first walked in, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The pizza makers were all very friendly, and it felt like an extension of my own home.

The menu had a great selection of pizzas, from classic pepperoni to some truly unique creations. I went for their signature pie: the ‘Pizza Al Bacio.’ It had artichoke hearts, olives, mushrooms, onions, and a blend of cheeses – no skimping here!

Biting into the pizza was pure heaven. The flavors complemented each other perfectly and the crust was just the right thickness. In addition, they filled you up without leaving you feeling full and bloated afterwards – a true sign of quality!

Overall, Pizza Al Bacio is definitely one of the best pizzerias I’ve been to! If you’re in York and looking for delicious pizza with a great atmosphere to go with it, this is your spot.

#12 Vito’s Pizza and Beer

I went to Vito’s this past weekend expecting nothing more than a typical pizza joint, but quickly realized I was wrong. There were a ton of beer choices (including hard liquor!), which made me feel like I was back on the European continent searching for great dishes to enjoy with an ice cold beer.

The kid’s menu gave me hope that my little munchkins would be able to come along and enjoy the experience as well! And at the end, they even had dessert – making this a great place for any family or group of friends!

Unfortunately, Vito’s does not offer delivery…but just walking in works out alright too – especially when you get to watch your favorite sports team playing on their big screen projectors. Sadly, there isn’t much else I have to say about Vito’s Pizza and Beer except that it provided me with some of the best pizza in York!
