After tasting slices from 12 different pizza places around the city, I’m ready to share with you my opinion on which ones offer the best pies.

It’s not been an easy task – and I have had to resist eating too much – but I’m up for the challenge! With humor and lightheartedness, let me show you what I found in Muskegon and which restaurants are at the top of my list when it comes to pizza.

#1 Bernie O’s Pizza

My first bite of Bernie O’s Pizza was a pizza-lover’s dream come true. The dough was perfectly crispy and the cheese was unbelievably gooey. I could really taste the love that had gone into the making of this delicious creation.

The toppings were also top notch. From the perfectly cooked pepperoni to the flavorful mushrooms, it truly was a delectable combination.

The atmosphere at Bernie O’s Pizza is relaxed and inviting, and the staff are friendly and attentive. They seem to really understand what it takes to make great pizza, which comes through in every slice they create.

I highly recommend Bernie O’s Pizza for anyone who is looking for the best pizza in Muskegon! The quality of their pizza is second to none and will leave you wanting more!

#2 Lombardo’s Sicilian Pizza

The place is small, but the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The staff was friendly, and they were more than willing to answer all my questions.

But most importantly, the pizza! It’s been so long since I’ve had a pizza as good as Lombardo’s Sicilian Pizza. The crust is soft and chewy, the sauce is flavorful and made fresh daily, and the toppings are cooked to perfection.

I tried several different pizzas while I was there; a classic Margherita pizza with mozzarella cheese, marinated tomatoes, basil and extra-virgin olive oil; a four-cheese pizza with creamy ricotta, parmesan, bocconcini, and mozzarella cheese; and also their special “Sicilian Surprise” with mushroom truffle oil and smoked pancetta — all of them were delicious!

And let me tell you something else too — not only does Lombardo’s Sicilian Pizza offer the best pizza in Muskegon… it might be some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

#3 Teddy Spaghettis

The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, which is always a must for me. The sauce was slightly sweet and flavorful, not too overpowering. And the cheese – oh my goodness! It was like velvet and melted perfectly as I took each delectable bite.

But what really sealed the deal for Teddy Spaghettis being the best pizza in Muskegon is their selection of toppings! They had mushrooms, peppers, onions – you name it! You can customize your pizza to your heart’s content!

Although they don’t have delivery, that doesn’t take away from how great their food is. Plus, they have a kid’s menu if you’re bringing the little ones with you. And as if all that weren’t enough, they also serve alcohol so you can get an adult beverage after a hard day of work to go along with your delicious pizza.

And lastly, no meal would be complete without dessert! Teddy Spaghettis has some insanely good desserts that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. From cannoli to Zeppoles, there’s something for everyone!

I highly recommend giving Teddy Spaghettis a visit when searching for the best pizza in Muskegon – it definitely won’t disappoint!

#4 Unruly Brewing Company

The atmosphere is cheerful and inviting, and their staff always goes the extra mile to make sure you’re taken care of. The pizza is excellent—the crust is light, but with a subtle crispiness, and the cheese melts in your mouth. Every bite is filled with flavors that will delight your taste buds.

The toppings are also top-notch: fresh vegetables, herbs, meats, cheeses all combine to create a masterpiece on each slice. The portion sizes are generous and affordably priced too – so you never feel like you’re missing out or paying too much.

Unfortunately, Unruly Brewing Company doesn’t offer delivery; you have to eat there or take it away with you. But trust me, it’s worth going there for the experience! Stop by Unruly for some of the best pizza in Muskegon – I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

#5 Capone’s Speakeasy and Restaurant

The atmosphere was like stepping back in time with classic Italian music playing and the restaurant decorated like an old-time speakeasy. I felt like I had stepped into the 1920s.

When it came to the food, Capone’s Speakeasy and Restaurant hit the mark! Their pizzas were some of the best I’ve ever tried. Whether you’re looking for a classic pepperoni or a unique prosciutto and arugula pizza, this place has you covered! The crust was thin and perfectly cooked, just how I like it.

I also really enjoyed their selection of craft beers to pair with our meal. All in all, I’d rate my experience at Capone’s Speakeasy and Restaurant an A+ – definitely one of the best pizzas in Muskegon!

#6 Mr. Scrib’s Pizza

The experience of dining at Mr. Scrib’s Pizza was a pleasant one. The pizzeria has a nice atmosphere and is clearly a popular tourist spot, with an enthusiastic crowd and friendly staff. The menu was full of tantalizing options, making it hard to decide on just one!

When my order arrived, the pizza looked amazing – the crust perfectly cooked and the toppings generous and flavorful. I’m not usually a fan of thin crust, but this was done so well that I could appreciate it in its own way. The flavors were delicious, the consistency perfect – truly some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.

The downside is that Mr. Scrib’s Pizza doesn’t offer delivery, so take-out or dining-in are your only two options. It’s definitely worth it for the quality you get though!

Overall, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Muskegon, you won’t be disappointed by Mr. Scrib’s!

#7 The Handsome Hobo Restaurant & Bar

The pizza here is truly remarkable – the crust is nice and crispy, but with a slight chewiness that gives it an interesting texture. The sauce is flavorful and balanced, and the toppings are always of high-quality. Plus, their use of cheese really makes each bite fantastic.

But what makes The Handsome Hobo Restaurant & Bar really stand out from other pizza places in Muskegon is their atmosphere and service. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure that you get your food quickly and correctly every time you visit. And the restaurant itself has a hip, yet rustic feel to it that transports you somewhere special right away when you walk in the door.

Plus, they have a great beer selection if you want something to wash down your dinner! All-in-all, if you’re looking for an awesome pizza experience while in Muskegon, I highly recommend checking out The Handsome Hobo Restaurant & Bar – it’s definitely one of the best around!

#8 Mr. Scrib’s Pizza

The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was the cozy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating and welcomed me with open arms. And the pizza….oh man, the pizza! It was absolutely amazing. From the classic New York-style slices to the more creative craft pies, every single one tasted like it had been prepared by a master chef.

The crusts were crispy yet chewy with just the right amount of charring, and each slice was loaded up with savory toppings and flavorful cheese that had been melted perfectly to gooey perfection. The combinations of flavors were so delicious that I didn’t even want to stop eating it!

To top it all off, Mr. Scrib’s Pizza also offers an extensive selection of craft beers to pair with their delicious pizzas. I’m telling you, these guys know what they’re doing when it comes to creating great pies and serving them with a cold beer or two on top!

In conclusion, if you’re looking for some of the best pizzas in Muskegon then Mr. Scrib’s Pizza is definitely worth checking out – you won’t be disappointed!

#9 Pizza & Sub Shop

The pizza here is cooked to perfection and the toppings are always fresh and delicious. As a bonus, they even offer dessert! So if you’re after a sweet finish to your meal, this is definitely the place to go.

On top of offering amazing food, Pizza & Sub Shop also makes for a great tourist spot. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and there’s enough seating for everyone.

The only downside I found was that they don’t offer delivery. But seeing how tasty the pizza is, it’s worth making the trip over to them! Plus, you can get to experience their wonderful atmosphere as well!

All in all, I’d highly recommend Pizza & Sub Shop, especially if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Muskegon. The food here is top-notch and sure to satisfy your cravings!

#10 Topshelf Pizza & Pub

I’m not exaggerating when I say the pizzas here are out of this world. The selection was great – everything from classic pepperoni to unique options like their ‘Boulder Booty’ pizza piled high with bacon, sausage, red onions and jalapeno peppers.

The crust was perfectly tender – not too thick or thin. And the toppings were fresh and flavorful. If you’re feeling adventurous, try their Garlic Goddess pizza – made with roasted garlic, mushrooms, caramelized onions and fresh basil. Trust me, it will change your life!

The service at Topshelf Pizza & Pub was equally impressive. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. He even offered some great advice on the best pizzas to order based on our tastes.

In short: if you want the best pizza in Muskegon – head to Topshelf Pizza & Pub!

#11 Rocket Pizza & Subs

I had the pleasure of tasting their classic pepperoni pizza, and it was delicious. The crust was light and fluffy, with just the right amount of crunch to it. The sauce was slightly sweet and also had a bit of spice that balanced out each slice perfectly. Plus, their generous portion of freshly shaved pepperonis provided a delightful accent in every bite.

One thing that particularly stood out to me about Rocket Pizza & Subs was the friendly atmosphere. As soon as I walked through the door, I felt welcomed by their attentive staff. They were happy to answer any questions I had about their menu and even provided me with extra napkins and cups when needed! Nothing beats great service along with great food!

Overall, Rocket Pizza & Subs is certainly worth a visit if you’re craving some real Italian-style pizza. They have quickly become one of my favorite pizza joints in Muskegon, serving up some of the best pies around!

#12 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

When I walked into the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the fresh smell of dough and cheese. The friendly staff were more than happy to explain their unique pizza preparation process to me. I watched intently as they prepared my pizza right in front of me – mixing fresh ingredients for the perfect topping and baking it in the oven with love before handing it over to me hot and ready for take-away!

The pizza itself was divine! The crust had just the right amount of crunch, while still being light and fluffy. The sauce was savory without being too sweet, and the layer of cheese melted perfectly over top. After biting into it, I could tell that all the ingredients were of high quality and combined together perfectly.

Overall, Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza is definitely my go-to spot when I’m in Muskegon looking for a delicious pizza experience! Their customized pizzas ensure everyone is able to find something they love, and their friendly staff never fail to make me feel welcome.
