I’ve been around the world eating pizza and have experienced some amazing pies. Now, I’m ready to take on Columbus, GA to try out the best pizza places it has to offer! In my quest for greatness, I have visited 12 unique establishments and sampled their pies.

#1 Rising Flour Pizza

My first impression of Rising Flour Pizza was that I had struck gold. From the moment I stepped in, I knew this place was different! The servers were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the aromas from the wood-fired oven filled the air – it was a pizza lover’s paradise!

The menu at Rising Flour Pizza is extensive and varied, so no matter what type of pizza you are looking for, you can find it here. The crust on their pizzas is perfectly thin yet chewy, with a divine smoky flavor contributed by the wood-fired oven. Every single topping they use is of the highest quality and freshness – nothing canned or processed here!

To top it off (pun intended), their prices are very reasonable considering how amazing their food is. Honestly, after eating at Rising Flour Pizza, my mouth is still watering! I’m not sure if any other pizzeria in Columbus GA can compare to this one – make sure to give them a try if you’re ever in town. It’s definitely worth it.

#2 My Boulánge & Tower Pizza

The place is great for tourists, as they serve alcohol and the atmosphere is quite pleasant. Plus, they even have some vegetarian options, which was a huge plus in my book.

I’ve got to tell you – the desserts are simply insane! I’m not usually one for sweets, but I couldn’t get enough of their pastry selections. They were out of this world!

The only downside? They don’t offer delivery. But it’s worth the trip to come here for the delicious pizza and amazing desserts. This place knows what it’s doing when it comes to making genuinely delicious food!

#3 Cerrone’s Brick Oven Pizzeria – Pizza Restaurant | Pizza

I’m not easily impressed, but the thin and crispy crust at Cerrone’s was out of this world. It had just the right amount of char from the oven and the flavor was truly unique. But what really made the pizza stand out were the fresh ingredients they used to top it off. They had a huge selection of toppings ranging from traditional favorites like pepperoni and sausage to more daring options like asparagus and artichoke.

But that’s not all – what makes Cerrone’s even better is their friendly service. Everyone who works there is incredibly helpful, especially when it comes to customizing your pizza just right. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic pepperoni pie or something more adventurous, they have you covered.

#4 Your Pie Pizza

The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is inviting and warm, making me feel right at home as soon as I stepped through the door. The staff was friendly, welcoming and eager to start a conversation!

I started off my visit with some amazing appetizers: Their olive bruschetta was out of this world! The flavor of the olives blended perfectly with just the right amount of garlic and herbs, making it a masterpiece.

Moving on to the real star of the show – their pizzas! I went for their signature Your Pie Pizza, which had an amazing combination of ingredients – sausage, pepperoni, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. The crust taste like it had been made fresh that day with just the right amount of crunch. Let’s not forget about the sauce and cheese – both were superb with just enough zing from the sauce and creamy melted cheese on top. Yum!

The overall experience at Your Pie Pizza was nothing short of greatness! It is definitely one of my favorite places for pizza in Columbus GA and will certainly be coming back for more deliciousness soon!

#5 Ramos italian restaurant and social event center

I had the pleasure to visit this restaurant twice and both times I was met with top-notch hospitality and delicious pizza. The crunch of the crust and the gooey cheese combined with the spicy tomato sauce made for an unforgettable experience!

The menu offers a wide selection of pizzas that are all cooked in an authentic Italian wood-fired oven. From classic Margheritas to creative creations like the Trapizzino, there’s something for everyone’s taste. And don’t forget their desserts – from Tiramisu to Cannoli, they have it all!

My only gripe is that Ramos doesn’t offer delivery services; you’ll have to dine in or take away. But trust me, it’s worth the trip! So if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Columbus GA, be sure to check out Ramos italian restaurant and social event center!

#6 Johnny’s New York Style Pizza

Although there’s no delivery, it’s worth the trip for the amazing selection of pizzas. With traditional Italian favorites like cheese, pepperoni and Margherita as well as some more creative combinations you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Plus, there’s plenty of options for vegetarians and kids too. The restaurant also serves alcohol, making it a great spot to hit up with friends after a long day exploring Columbus! And if that wasn’t enough, Johnny’s New York Style Pizza even offers desserts so you can end your meal on a sweet note!

All in all, Johnny’s New York Style Pizza is definitely one of the best pizza places in Columbus GA – and worth a visit if you’re looking for delicious pizza plus all sorts of other tasty treats!

#7 Mellow Mushroom Columbus

The atmosphere is lively and family friendly. There is a wide selection of craft beers and wines as well, which makes for a nice evening out. As for the pizza, it is nothing short of remarkable. Every bite was flavorful and balanced, with the perfect ratio of cheese, sauce and toppings. I sampled several pizzas during my visit including the Maui Wowie (pineapple & ham), Shiitake Mushroom & Spinach, and their Classic White pizza with garlic and ricotta. All were phenomenal!

My favorite part was watching their talented chefs at work in the open kitchen; they really seemed to be having a great time making all that delicious pizza. The prices are reasonable too – you can get an excellent dinner without breaking the bank.

All in all, Mellow Mushroom Columbus has earned its place as one of the best pizza places in Columbus GA! Highly recommended if you’re ever in town!

#8 Your Pie Pizza

I seriously went out of my way to get here and it was so worth it. I stepped in the door and immediately felt welcomed by the friendly staff. The decor is inviting and cheerful. Everything just screams “come hang out here”.

The menu has some of the most unique toppings I have seen, like artichokes and goat cheese! They even let you build your own pizza with whatever toppings you’d like- what more can a foodie ask for?

When my pie arrived, I gave it an 8/10 rating. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it was convenient and delicious nonetheless! The crust was cooked perfectly – crunchy on the outside yet chewy on the inside. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. For dessert, I got a classic cannoli that blew me away!

Overall, Your Pie Pizza ranks as one of my top contenders for the best pizza in Columbus GA! It’s a great spot for families or groups who want quality pizza without breaking their budget. Highly recommended!

#9 Lepoma’s Pizzeria

The first thing I noticed was the inviting atmosphere of the pizza joint. With its warmly lit décor and wood-paneled walls, this place will make you think twice about ordering takeout!

I ordered my usual: a large cheese pizza. After watching them hand-toss the dough in front of me, I knew it was going to be something special. The cheese they use is so fresh and flavorful that it’s almost like it was picked off a farm just hours before! The sauce is delicious too, perfectly spiced and perfectly balanced.

When the pizza arrived, I knew immediately this place lived up to its reputation. The crust was crunchy yet chewy, with just the right amount of charring on the edges for flavor. To top it all off, Lepoma’s uses only the freshest ingredients and gives you five extra slices for free–something no other pizza joints in Columbus GA can match!

After tasting countless pies from around the world, I can honestly say Lepoma’s Pizzeria has some of the best pizza in Columbus GA. If you’re ever in town for a visit, don’t miss out on their amazing pies!

#10 Mr. Pizza Brick Oven and Tap

I’m not one to mince words, so let me just say it outright – this place serves some serious slices! The traditional New York-style crust is light and fluffy, with just the right amount of char. The classic toppings are always fresh and flavorful, from sweet Italian sausage to tart green peppers.

But what truly sets them apart is their brick oven – giving the pizza that perfect crunchy texture. Not to mention the wood-fired flavor that adds a smoky depth to every bite. My favorite’s got to be their Margherita pie – the creamy mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and sweet tomatoes were all cooked to perfection!

If you’re looking for an amazing meal in Columbus GA then I highly recommend Mr. Pizza Brick Oven and Tap as your go-to pizzeria! With top-notch ingredients, a delicious crust and a wood-fired oven that brings out all of the flavors it’s no surprise why this place is my number one pick for the best pizza in town.

#11 Pizza Pronto

The first thing that stood out to me about Pizza Pronto was the amazing aroma of freshly-baked pizza. It’s like a mini slice of heaven, just calling out my name! The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, and the toppings are always fresh. I’ve tried all sorts of combos on the menu and they never disappoint.

But what really sets Pizza Pronto apart is their delightful staff. They always have a big smile on their face and are more than happy to go out of their way to make sure your experience is top-notch. Plus, they love to hear your feedback and suggestions, so you never feel like you’re being ignored or overlooked. That really makes them stand out among other pizzerias in town.

The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery yet – which would be an awesome addition! Other than that, Pizza Pronto easily ranks among some of the best pizza joints I’ve ever visited!

#12 Peppone’s Ristorante Pizzeria

The environment is laid-back and inviting with plenty of seating and a wood-fired oven right in the middle of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient, making sure my order arrived hot and fresh.

The pizza was outstanding. The crust was thin, crispy, and just the perfect amount of chewy. It had a nice char that only a high temperature wood-fired oven could produce. The toppings were plentiful and flavorful– just enough to put it over the top.

To top it off, their prices are totally reasonable for such great quality food making this one of the best pizza restaurants in Columbus GA. I highly recommend Peppone’s Ristorante Pizzeria to anyone looking for great pizza!
