I’ve tried pizza all over the world and I can confidently say that Columbus OH has some of the best pies out there. Out of the twelve places I visited, I found some truly unique slices.

My mission was to find a place where I could get my hands on an unforgettable slice. I’m bringin’ you all along with me on this delicious quest for the best pizza in Columbus OH! So, let’s get to eatin’!

#1 Fibonacci’s Pizzeria

From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was impressed by their authentic Italian décor. The walls were adorned with old-fashioned posters of Venice and Rome. And the smell of freshly baked dough quickly filled the air.

But enough about the atmosphere – how was the pizza? To put it simply, absolutely delicious! I opted for a classic pepperoni, and was blown away by the flavor and texture of each slice. The crust had just the right amount of crunchiness and cheesy goodness. And the tomato sauce added a nice acidic kick that blended perfectly with the cheese and pepperoni.

The service at Fibonacci’s is also top notch. All of my questions were answered quickly and politely; they even gave me advice on where to find my favorite Italian dessert (gelato!).

I’ve had pizza in Italy, from the streets of New York City, and now Terita’s Pizza. I can’t believe how delicious and flavorful the pizza was! The crust was soft yet crunchy and the sauce was so fresh and sweet. And of course, don’t forget about the toppings. I got a classic pepperoni pizza that was loaded with slices of juicy pepperoni, but you could also get so many other toppings too!

The atmosphere at Terita’s Pizza is great too. It’s a lively restaurant filled with people enjoying some amazing food. The staff are always quick to take orders and very friendly as well. Plus, the prices are more than reasonable!

The atmosphere here is warm, inviting and relaxed. Upon entering, the comforting smell of fresh-baked dough and savory toppings will have your mouth watering in no time. The interior design is quite unique with an old-world Italian feel.

I had the pleasure of trying a few different slices including their signature pepperoni pizza. The crust was light, yet crunchy and perfectly charred while the inside was laden with delicious cheese and my favorite toppings! The sauce was just right – tangy enough to tantalize, yet mild enough to let the natural flavors shine through.

Overall, my experience at Borgata Pizza Cafe Budd Dairy was top-notch and I highly recommend visiting if you’re ever looking for some of the best pizza in Columbus OH!

The first thing that caught my eye was the restaurant’s unique decor- it definitely has a modern feel, but also pays homage to traditional Italian pizzerias.

I started off my meal with their homemade classic Margherita pizza. Oh boy, it was delicious! The crust was perfectly cooked and not too thin or too thick. The sauce had just the right amount of flavor, and all the ingredients melded together perfectly. I could tell the pizzaiolo knew what he was doing!

Next up was their signature salami pie. This one absolutely blew me away. The salami added just enough spice to make it interesting, while the mozzarella cheese provided an ooey-gooey great texture and flavor. Plus, the fresh herbs continued to take this pizza to another level of yumminess!

First of all, the crust. Oh man, it was so good! Crispy on the outside but still soft and chewy inside. Perfection! The sauce was spot-on too – just the right amount of zing. And speaking of zing, I have to mention the toppings. All fresh ingredients that really put my taste buds into overdrive. It’s clear they go out of their way to source quality ingredients and create something truly special.

But what really took this experience over the top was the atmosphere. The decor has a classic East Coast vibe that’s just oozing with character and charm – you can’t help but feel like you’re in an authentic New York pizzeria as soon as you walk in the door. And then there’s the staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, it made for a unique dining experience that I won’t soon forget.

The atmosphere at The Pizza House is cheerful and lively. The decorations are colorful and eye-catching, which immediately makes me feel like I’m in for a good time. But the best part about this place is definitely the pizza!

It has just enough give to make you feel like you’re indulging in a real restaurant quality meal, but firm enough to withstand all those tasty toppings. Plus, their sauce does not mess around! They clearly know what they’re doing here!

I sampled several of the pies on offer, including a classic Margherita with freshly picked tomatoes and mozzarella, an Albanian style with a unique blend of spices, and an extra cheese filled pepperoni pizza that was out of this world! Every last bite was some of the best pizza I’ve ever had – truly unforgettable.

My journey started in Naples, Italy, where I was introduced to the delicate art of proper pizza-making. From there, I tried other famous pizzerias in countries like France, India and South Africa. But when I arrived at Mama Nancy’s Pizza in Columbus OH, my search for the perfect pizza was over.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant makes you feel like family – it’s warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and accommodating, always eager to help you choose your desired topping selection.

#8 Adriatico’s New York Style Pizza

When I arrived at the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly staff and taken in to the pizza kitchen. The atmosphere was inviting and filled with mouth-watering smells of freshly baked pizza. Immediately I knew that this place was something special.

The staff were able to provide helpful suggestions on what toppings to include in my custom-made pizza, and they even let me watch as they prepared it. As soon as the pizza emerged from the oven, it looked like a work of art! Every slice had an even layer of cheese with just enough topping.

The flavor made me smile from ear to ear. It was absolutely delicious – there was a perfect balance between salty and cheesy with pops of flavor from the fresh herbs and spices used for seasoning. Every bite left me wanting more!

#10 Rubinos Pizza

The atmosphere at Rubinos Pizza was inviting and cozy, with a nice selection of Italian beers. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and quickly welcomed me in.

I started with the classic Marinara pizza, which had layers of sauce, cheese, peppers, pepperoni, mushrooms and olives. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor was out of this world! I also tried the Mac & Cheese Pie, which had a creamy blend of melted mozzarella on top of penne pasta. It was a delicious twist on an old classic.

But what really stands out about Rubinos Pizza is the crust. It’s thin yet chewy with some crunchy edges that hold up nicely to any kind of topping. Combined with the pizzas’ generous toppings, each slice was well worth the price I paid for it!

It was my first stop in the city and I was a little skeptical since it wasn’t a big, flashy restaurant. But when I stepped inside, saw the menu, and tasted the pizza, my doubts quickly disappeared.

The staff was friendly and accommodating from the start and they had lots of delicious options to choose from on their menu. I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza and ended up getting two large slices — easily enough to feed me for lunch!

The crust was perfectly crunchy while still being fluffy in the middle; the sauce had just enough tanginess; and the cheese-to-pepperoni ratio was spot on! It was so good that I almost felt like I didn’t need to order my second slice — but thankfully I did because it’s just too good not to finish.

If you’re ever in Columbus OH looking for a great pie, Pie of The Tiger is where you should go. It has all the classic flavors plus some unique ones as well – definitely worth checking out!

#12 Rotolo’s Pizza

When I stepped into Rotolo’s, I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere – it felt like home. It had all of the classic pizzeria touches – from checkered tablecloths to a framed photo of Shakespeare hanging on the wall.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming too. They took their time to chat with me and even gave me a free slice of pizza when they heard that I was a traveling food critic!

As for the pizza, my taste buds were in heaven! The crust was perfectly crispy but still fluffy, and the fresh ingredients were clearly high-quality. The flavors were delightful and flavorful, a combination that is hard to find in Columbus OH.

Overall, my experience at Rotolo’s was one of the best culinary experiences of my life. No matter where you are in Columbus OH, this pizza is worth a try! I give it 10 out of 10 stars – it’s truly some of the best pizza around.

Best Deep Dish Pizza – Giordano’s

Picture this: me, Edward the traveling food critic, venturing into Giordano’s with great pizza expectations. As I walked in, the mouthwatering aromas hit me like a cheesy explosion in the face. My taste buds were already dancing with excitement!

I ordered their famous deep dish pizza, and boy, was I taken aback when the massive pie arrived at my table. It was like a pizza mountain; I felt like a brave explorer ready to conquer the peak. With a glimmer of trepidation in my eyes, I took my first bite.

Oh, heavens! The crust was so buttery and flaky, it practically melted in my mouth. Each slice was packed with a ridiculous amount of cheese that stretched like a ship’s anchor. Best Thin Crust Pizza – Paulie Gee’s Short North

This place is a hidden gem for pizza lovers like myself. As soon as I walked in, I could smell the delicious aroma of freshly baked pizza wafting through the air. My taste buds were instantly dancing in anticipation.

One of the major perks of this place is that it serves alcohol, and not just any alcohol, but hard liquor! Who doesn’t love a little liquid courage to go along with their pizza feast? I certainly do! As a traveling food critic, I’ve encountered my fair share of dry pizza joints, so this was a pleasant surprise.

The menu also catered to my vegetarian friends with some exciting options. Kudos to Paulie Gee’s for recognizing that not everyone wants to munch on pepperoni all the time. A good variety for all pizza enthusiasts!

And let’s not forget about dessert! Who knew that pizza and dessert could go hand in hand? Well, at Paulie Gee’s, they make it happen. The sweet treats were the perfect ending to a perfect meal. I even caught myself doing a little happy dance in my seat.

The only downside I encountered was that Paulie Gee’s does not accept reservations. But hey, as a world-traveling food critic, I’m used to waiting for greatness. And let me tell you, this pizza was worth every minute of anticipation.
