My first time at Hot For Pizza was almost a year ago, and since then I’ve been back multiple times. On every visit, I’ve had the pleasure of sampling an amazingly delicious selection of pizzas. When I entered the modern and hip restaurant, my senses were filled with a delicious aroma. The wood-fired pizza smelled like it was cooked to perfection. As I perused the menu, there were so many scrumptious options that it was hard to decide what to order!
I eventually went with the classic pepperoni pizza and it did not disappoint. The thin crust was perfectly crisp, and the sauce had an amazing flavour. The toppings tasted fresh and hearty, making for a truly delicious pizza experience.
What really separates Mellow Mushroom from other pizza places is their unique atmosphere. The restaurant was bustling but had an upbeat energy that made it an enjoyable experience. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating – they even gave me a free soda just because!

From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, cozy atmosphere. The decor is really inviting, and there’s something about how the furniture and the decorations are arranged which makes it feel like home. But all of that was overshadowed by the pizza!
The crust was thick and fluffy with a nice char that made it truly perfect. The sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, while the cheese was both nicely melted and pulled up into delicious strings when you took a bite. On top of all that, they use fresh local ingredients which gave a unique flavor to every bite. As for meats, they didn’t skimp- each slice held plenty of sausage, pepperoni or whatever else you choose.
