I’m not one to brag, but I’ve had the opportunity to try pizza from all over the world. From Italy to Chicago and beyond, I’ve tasted it all. So when I set out on a mission to find the best pizza in The East Bay, I was looking for something really special.
I visited 12 different places eager to find a pie worthy of my critique. And I am happy to report that I did indeed find some delicious pies and memorable toppings in The East Bay! I arrived at Norma feeling a bit skeptical. I had heard a lot of rumors about the great pizza here, and I wasn’t sure if it was all hype. But after one delicious bite, I was sold!
The crust is perfectly thin and crispy at Norma, cooked to perfection in their wood-fired oven. Each slice has just enough sauce and cheese for maximum flavor without being greasy or heavy. The toppings are always fresh and plentiful – this is not your run-of-the-mill cheap pizza joint!
On top of that, their staff is friendly and welcoming. They make you feel right at home while still delivering restaurant-quality service. Plus they have a great selection of beer and wine to enjoy with your pizza!

To start off, the atmosphere of Denino’s is top notch. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for a treat.
When it came to the pizza, it was simply amazing. The crust was perfectly crisp yet doughy and full of flavor. Every ingredient tasted fresh and the balance between them all was on point. Whether you like traditional toppings or something unique like BBQ chicken, there’s something for everyone at Denino’s!
The icing on the cake (or should I say cheese?) is that they offer a fantastic wine list to truly complete your meal. Having my favorite red to pair with my pizza made this meal simply divine!

I’m not exaggerating, either. The pizza here is truly something to write home about.
The crust is just the right amount of crispy and chewy, consistent with the finest pizzas in Italy. The combination of quality ingredients with Il Porto’s proven wood-fire baking technique creates an unforgettable flavor that will have you coming back for more.
The staff at Il Porto are also top notch – they are friendly and knowledgeable, and they take great care when making each pie. They’ll even let you customize your pizza exactly how you want it!

#4 Posto NYC Thin Crust Pizza

When I arrived, the first thing that struck me was the pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant had a cozy vibe and some great ambient music. Next, it was time to sample the pizza.
To me, no pizza is complete without a thin crust. Sure enough, Posto NYC nailed it with their signature thin crust. It was perfectly cooked – crunchy on the outside yet soft in the middle – and incredibly flavorful. The sauce was delicious and just the right amount of spicy while the cheese melted nicely around each slice. Plus they were generous with the toppings — pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and more! And best of all, I found myself going back for seconds (and thirds!).

From the first bite, I knew that their pizza was something special. The thin crust is crispy and delicate, yet still able to hold all the delicious toppings. The sauce is flavorful and has just the right amount of spice, and the cheese is melted perfectly.
What really sets Tappo NYC apart from all the other pizzerias in town, though, is its attention to detail. From the friendly staff at the counter to the presentation of each slice after it’s finished cooking, everything about Tappo NYC screams top-notch quality. Plus, they offer a variety of vegan and vegetarian options that are just as delicious as their classic pies!

I was greeted warmly upon entering, and the interior of the restaurant had a nice, cozy feel. My mouth was already watering from the smell of freshly made pizza when I was handed the menu!
I decided to try out their signature slice – it was the most delicious pizza I’ve ever tasted! The crust was perfectly cooked and fluffy, and the cheese and toppings were melted together in a cheesy, greasy heaven.
I will definitely be coming back to Slices Pizza because their pizza is simply that good. If you’re looking for great pizza in The East Bay, consider giving Slices Pizza a try – you won’t regret it!

#7 3 Countries Pizzeria

From the moment I walked into the restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere was inviting and friendly, with lots of smiling faces and delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen.
The menu had plenty of options to choose from – everything from Greek-style pizza to Italian-style pies. I eventually settled on a classic Margherita topped with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. It was delicious! The crust was cooked perfectly – not too thin or too thick – and the toppings were incredibly flavorful.
I also tried their house specialty – a unique combination of tomatoes, feta cheese, peppers, olives, onions and artichokes that put my taste buds in a state of bliss!
Overall, 3 Countries Pizzeria is a great pizza spot. The food is tasty and reasonably priced while the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. There’s no doubt in my mind that it serves up some of The East Bay’s best pizza!

The first thing that caught my eye about Best Pizza was the unique toppings they offer. From garlic cream sauce to pepperoncini, I found something to suit every palate. I have a special fondness for the Bacon Carbonara pizza, topped with a creamy garlic-infused sauce, bacon, and plenty of cheese. It’s a symphony of flavor and texture that left me wanting more!
The crust at Best Pizza is outstanding as well. It has just the right amount of char on the outside and is soft and slightly chewy on the inside—the perfect foundation for a great pizza.
Of course, what makes pizza really stand out are its ingredients, and Best Pizza definitely delivers with quality ingredients like fresh mozzarella, pepperoni that’s cured in-house, organic veggies, and homemade sauces. The kitchen staff take pride in their craft here and it shows in every bite.

The first thing I noticed when I stepped in was the amazing smell of fresh-baked pizza. I knew I was in for a treat!
I decided to go with the classic Margherita pizza and it was delicious. The crust was light, crisp and cooked just right! The cheese and sauce were both flavorful and balanced perfectly. I couldn’t resist taking a second slice!
What really set Spunto apart from other pizzerias was the atmosphere. The restaurant had a lively energy that made me feel right at home. There were also knowledgeable staff members who were eager to answer my questions about their different toppings and ingredients.
The cost was also perfect, they offered great value for their prices which meant I didn’t have to break the bank to enjoy a fantastic meal.
All in all, Spunto NYC Thin Crust Pizza is definitely my top pick when it comes to finding the best pizza in The East Bay. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian-style pizza experience, then this is the place to go!
#10 East Bay Italian Grille

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this was a special place. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the aromas coming from the kitchen promised a unique experience.
Though tempted to try one of their other dishes, I couldn’t resist the temptation of trying one of their famous pizzas. To say they were impressive would be an understatement. From the thin crust to the flavorful toppings, every bite was delicious! The sauce had a nice balance between sweet and sour flavors that worked perfectly with all of their toppings.
I also have to give a special shout out to their dessert selection. Their cannoli are some of the best I’ve ever had! While not as memorable as their pizza, it’s still something worth mentioning.
All in all, East Bay Italian Grille is certainly worth checking out if you’re looking for great pizza in The East Bay! Not only do they have some delicious pies, but their desserts are also amazing too!
#11 DiVino Pizzeria Restaurant

The first thing that struck me about DiVino was the smell–the incredible aroma of freshly baked pizza wafting through the air. That alone was enough to get me salivating and eager to try a slice. But then I saw the pies! They were beautifully crafted with perfect crusts and generous, delicious toppings.
The cheese was creamy and gooey, while the sauce was tangy with just the right amount of sweetness. The crust had just the right crunch and chewiness, and it held together nicely when sliced. The meats were cooked to perfection and complemented each other in flavor.
But what really sold me on DiVino Pizzeria Restaurant as having some of the best pizza in The East Bay is their commitment to quality. Their ingredients are all fresh, local, and organic, which you can taste in every bite!
Overall, I can’t recommend DiVino highly enough for anyone looking for a great pizza experience in The East Bay!

I stopped in for lunch on a recent visit and was not disappointed – from the aromas of baking dough to the bubbly and flavorful crusts, Numero 28 is definitely worth checking out. The cheese was perfectly melted and the toppings were fresh and plentiful.
The service was also great – my waiter was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the menu items. Not only did he bring my food in a timely manner, but he also made some excellent recommendations as well!
Overall, I can confidently say that Numero 28 is one of the best pizza restaurants in The East Bay. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian experience with delicious pizza, this is the place to be!
