My experience at Filaga was truly one for the books. From the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, to the simply divine pizza, I am forever indebted to their pizza-making skills. The pies are so fresh and savory, I had to make sure to eat enough of it so I didn’t forget how amazing it was!
Crust was crispy yet airy in all the right places, cheesy just as it should be, toppings were generous and fresh, and the sauce was loaded with flavor. Every bite felt like a little slice of heaven – something that’s difficult to find in New York City!

My first impression walking into Tappo was all focus on the pizza. It was like stepping into a veritable pizza paradise! Everywhere I looked, there were freshly-baked pizzas and tantalizing aromas that made my mouth water in anticipation.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients and different types of pizzas. They helped me decide on an Italian sausage and pepperoni pizza with a thin crust that tasted absolutely delicious! The crust was crunchy but not too hard, and it had just the right balance of cheese, tomato sauce, and toppings.
I also sampled some starters such as breadsticks and antipasti platters which were amazing! Everything was lovingly prepared to perfection – you can really taste the passion that goes into every dish at this restaurant.

Upon entering the restaurant, the smell of delicious Italian spices filled my nose – I knew I was in for something special. The pizza is cooked in a wood-fired oven, which imparts a unique smoky flavor that you can taste in every bite!
The staff at Ovest Pizzoteca are all incredibly friendly and accommodating – they even offered me some free samples so I could try out their extensive menu. I had their classic Margherita pizza, and it was absolutely divine. The combination of fresh mozzarella cheese, tangy tomato sauce, and fragrant basil was just perfect!
I also tried one of their white pizzas with creamy ricotta cheese and mushrooms – it was exquisite. To round off the evening, I got their signature dessert: tiramisu gelato. It was the perfect way to end this wonderful meal!

The atmosphere was truly unique – a mix of urban chic and casual elegance. The menu was bursting with an amazing selection of Detroit-style pizza offerings as well as more classic options like Margherita and Sicilian pizzas.
I opted for the “Lions & Tigers & Squares” special: a deep-dish pizza made with layers of pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, and cheese. I have to say that it lived up to its name – it was absolutely delicious! The crust had a flaky texture with just the right amount of crunch when bitten into. The toppings were fresh, flavorful, and generous. It was definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!
Service was also outstanding! Our server was friendly and helpful – he made sure our experience went off without a hitch. He even recommended an awesome dessert pizza that we shared for the table; it had Nutella spread over cream cheese-soaked crust and finished off with some sliced strawberries. Yum!

But possibly the best part about Don Giovanni’s is their staff. Everyone is so friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed for an amazing meal.
