I’ve traveled all over the world and trying out pizza in various places, so you can trust I know what I’m talking about.

I decided to take on the challenge of finding the best pizzas on Maui by visiting twelve different pizza places. What ensued was an adventure — and some pretty delicious slices!

As a lighthearted food critic, I’m here to share my experiences with you and let you know which pizzeria really reigns supreme. So grab a slice and let’s get started!

#1 Maui Pizza Truck

The restaurant, conveniently located off the beaten path and near a few tourist attractions, did not disappoint. The vegetarian options were especially nice since I often have trouble finding places with good options for me.

That being said, Maui Pizza Truck does not offer delivery, so if you’re strapped for time and can’t make it to the restaurant—or live in a far away corner of the island—you’re out of luck.

Other than that, Maui Pizza Truck is a great place to get pizza while visiting Maui. If you’re looking for the best pizza on the island, don’t miss this hidden gem!

#2 Flatbread Company

The atmosphere is definitely tourist-friendly, making it a great spot to bring friends or family. The attentive staff makes sure everyone leaves happy, which is always a plus in my book.

As far as the food goes, I can’t say enough good things! They offer several vegetarian options, which impressed me. The pizza crust is cooked to perfection and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. Plus, they serve beer and hard liquor –– yes, you heard that right! Just add some cheese-filled crusts to complete your meal.

My favorite part of Flatbread Company has to be their dessert offerings. Their warm Chocolate Fondue is especially delicious! It’s the perfect way to end any pizza night.

The only downside that I could think of is that there’s no delivery option available at this time –– not for me anyway!

If you’re looking for the best pizza in Maui, Flatbread Company should be your go-to spot. With great pizza, desserts and drinks all served in a friendly atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed!

#3 Sale Pepe

I was a bit hesitant when I first tried it, as the restaurant has a somewhat rustic look to it. But, upon biting into its delicious pizza, I realized that beauty really is skin deep!

The pizzas were some of the most creative flavors that I’ve ever tasted. From pineapple-feta to Margherita-Truffle, there was something for everyone’s tastes. Even more impressive were their traditional pies. Every flavor was perfectly balanced and cooked just right.

The service was also top notch. The staff were friendly and attentive – always asking if we wanted more drinks or toppings for our pizzas.

Overall, Sale Pepe’s pizza is simply the best in Maui. Whether you’re looking for something unique or just a classic margherita pie, this place is definitely worth checking out!

#4 Pizza Madness Maui

The atmosphere is always electric, and the service is fast and friendly. The menu features a wide variety of delicious pizzas that are sure to please any palate. From classic margherita to creative variations like Hawaiian BBQ Chicken, each pie is made to order with high quality ingredients for an unbeatable flavor.

The best part? Pizza Madness Maui keeps their prices reasonable so everyone can enjoy the best pizza in Maui!

My favorite thing about Pizza Madness Maui has to be their dough – it’s perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also use tons of flavorful toppings, making every pizza as tasty as the last. Plus, they offer up lots of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options – definitely something for everyone!

Overall, if you’re looking for some truly great pizza in Maui then look no further than Pizza Madness Maui! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed – it’s the best pizza in town!

#5 Giannotto’s Pizza

The first thing that struck me was the atmosphere – it was absolutely perfect. From the warm and inviting staff, to the brick oven pizza that filled the restaurant with the delightful aroma of baking crust, I knew this place was going to be special.

The menu itself is quite extensive: you can get almost any kind of pizza imaginable, from your standard pepperoni and mushroom to something more exotic like pesto chicken. Of course, as a food critic I make it my mission to try out all of their specialty pies! I opted for their Parmesan Shrimp Pie – which turned out to be an absolute delight. The cheese melted perfectly across the top and blended nicely with the succulent shrimp – something I just couldn’t find anywhere else on the island!

For those seeking a unique experience, Giannotto’s also offers several vegan options! Even after years of traveling and taste-testing pizzas all around the world, Giannotto’s stands out among its competition for its commitment to great flavors and fresh ingredients. In my opinion, this is without a doubt some of the best pizza in Maui.

#6 Lahaina Pizza Company

I was so excited to visit the restaurant and try their pies. I couldn’t believe how thin and crispy the crust was. They must have a special technique that they use – like using cold water when kneading the dough, or turning up the heat in their ovens to get that perfect crispiness. Whatever it is, it works!

The toppings were fresh and flavorful as well – garlic, peppers, onions, mushrooms, basil… all sourced from local farms and markets. And best of all, their prices are very reasonable for such quality pizza. My wallet thanked me as much as my stomach did!

I had a few slices at dinner time but then took some home for breakfast too. Lahaina Pizza Company’s pizza tastes delicious even after being reheated in an oven or microwave!

If you’re looking for the best pizza in Maui, I highly recommend Lahaina Pizza Company. You won’t be disappointed!

#7 Kamala’s Kitchen

I was greeted by the friendly staff the moment I walked in, and felt like I had found a special spot. The restaurant boasts an inviting atmosphere with comfortable seating, making it the perfect tourist spot to grab a slice or two.

It’s clear that the chefs put their hearts into every dish they make – as soon as my pizza arrived at my table, I could tell it was made with love. The crust was perfectly crispy and chewy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.

As much as I wanted to try some of their specialty pies, I sadly couldn’t take any home since Kamala’s Kitchen doesn’t offer delivery (that would have been the ultimate dream!). Nonetheless, you can still get all your classic favorites for dining in – so even if you don’t have time for delivery, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve tried many pizzas around the world, but there’s no doubt that Kamala’s Kitchen is one of the best places for pizza in Maui. If you’re ever on the island looking for a tasty meal, be sure to add this place to your list!

#8 Outrigger Pizza Co 1

The atmosphere is light and fun, with surf decor throughout the restaurant. It’s obvious that they take their pizza seriously here!

They serve up a variety of delicious pizzas such as the ‘Maui Fire’ – a spicy jalapeno and pineapple combo – and the ‘Surf n Turf’ – an outrageous seafood and steak combination. The crust is thin yet chewy, and always cooked to perfection.

The toppings are super fresh, from locally sourced vegetables to succulent seafood. The flavor combinations really hit the spot and left me wanting more.

But what really sets this place apart from other pizza places in Maui is their top-notch service. Every staff member is incredibly friendly and willing to help you choose the best pizza for your taste buds. If you find yourself in Maui, don’t miss out on Outrigger Pizza Co 1 – it’s definitely worth it!

#9 Penny’s Pizza and Pasta

As a food critic, I’m always on the lookout for places that serve great pizza and Penny’s Pizza did not disappoint. Not only do they serve delicious pies, but they also offer up some hard liquor to help you wash it down. Additionally, families will love the kid’s menu and after-dinner dessert options.

The downside here is that they don’t offer delivery, but who needs it when you can enjoy your meal in such a nice tourist spot? The ambiance at Penny’s is truly unique and adds to the experience of eating some of the best pizza in Maui.

I’ve traveled around the world searching for good pizza and Penny’s Pizza & Pasta definitely ranks high on my list!

#10 Prison Street Pizza

When I first walked in, I was struck by the unique decor. Half of the restaurant looks like an old jailhouse with bars on the windows and walls decorated with mugshots. The other half is a more traditional pizza joint with wood paneling, checkerboard tablecloths and vintage posters on the walls.

Upon tasting their signature Prison Street Pizza, I insisted that all future reviews be written in capital letters: THIS PIZZA IS OUT OF THIS WORLD! The crust was perfectly thin and crisp, while their special topping combination created a flavor explosion.

The service was top-notch as well. Everyone from the cashier to the cooks gave me warm greetings like we were old friends. And that’s not even mentioning how quickly my food was ready – I couldn’t believe it!

All in all, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Maui…look no further than Prison Street Pizza!

#11 Serpico’s Restaurant

The atmosphere here is great and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The kitchen has a window where you can see the chefs at work creating wonderful thin crust pizzas, which are made with fresh local ingredients.

I had the pepperoni and sausage pizza, which was simply delicious. The sausage had a unique flavor that I haven’t tasted before. The herbs they use are perfectly balanced and make the flavors of the pizza come alive. The cheese melted in my mouth like butter and left a pleasant aftertaste in my mouth.

But that’s not all! They also have amazing appetizers such as their signature garlic knots, as well as salads, sandwiches, pastas, calzones and more.

Serpico’s really stands out when it comes to pizzas – it’s definitely one of the best places I’ve been to in Maui for pizza! Whether you’re looking for classic recipes or something new and interesting, Serpico’s Restaurant will have something for everyone to enjoy.

#12 Matteo’s Osteria

It’s rare to find a place that can serve up both an amazing savory and sweet meal, but this pizzeria can do it all. I was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian options they had, as well as the fact that they serve alcohol (including hard liquor!).

The kid’s menu gives parents a great way to share in a delicious feast with their children, while the desserts are insanely good. Not only will you leave feeling full but also satisfied.

Matteo’s is a great spot for tourists who want to experience one of the best pizzas on Maui. In fact, it may be my favorite! The only downside is that there is no delivery option. But if you want the best pizza in Maui, then I suggest making your way over to Matteo’s Osteria.
