Best Wood Fired Pizza – Zoni’s Brooklyn Brick Coal Oven Pizzeria
- Has insanely good dessert
- Has some vegetarian options
Picture this: you walk into Zoni’s, and immediately you’re hit with the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked pizza. It’s like being serenaded by Pavarotti, but with mozzarella instead of opera. The place is cozy, with the perfect amount of kitsch and a friendly, slightly eccentric staff. You can tell right away that they take their pizza seriously, or maybe they’re just crazy about the wood fired oven in the corner that’s hotter than Hades.
But let’s talk about the pizza itself. Oh boy, where do I even begin? Each pie is a culinary masterpiece. The crust is crispy and chewy at the same time, like doing yoga while eating. The toppings are fresh and generous, as if Mother Nature herself personally sprinkled them on top. And the cheese? It’s like a creamy, melty blanket that envelops your taste buds in a warm, cheesy embrace. It’s so good, I considered proposing to it.
But here’s the best part: they have a secret weapon. I call it the pizza of the month surprise. Every month, the chefs come up with a new, wacky combination of toppings. Last time I was there, they had a pizza with peanut butter, jelly, and bacon. I know, it sounds insane, but trust me, it’s so crazy, it works.
So if you’re ever in middletown and craving the best wood fired pizza around, do yourself a favor and head straight to Zoni’s Brooklyn Brick Coal Oven Pizzeria. Your taste buds will thank you, and your mouth will be permanently stuck in a pizza-induced smile.
