I’ve been lucky enough to travel around the world in search of the best pizza, and now I’m ready to share what I found here. Here’s my take on the 12 different pizza places I visited in Essex County—but don’t take my word for it! Grab a slice and decide for yourself which ones you like best. It’s time to get serious about pizza…and maybe have a few laughs while we’re at it.

#1 Teglia Pizza Bar

I was initially a bit apprehensive, but Teglia Pizza Bar didn’t disappoint. From the moment I walked in, I was hit with a wonderful aroma of cooked pizza dough and melted cheese. The inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home and the friendly staff only added to my comfort level.

The pizza is simply outstanding! You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients and it has a nice balance between flavor and texture. The crust is perfectly cooked without being soggy or too hard; it’s just right! On top of that, you can customize your pizza any way you want it — from adding extra toppings to choosing different sauces.

Furthermore, Teglia Pizza Bar offers an impressive selection of drinks as well as some delicious desserts like tiramisu and gelato. This really puts them above most other pizzerias in Essex County!

All things considered, I would highly recommend Teglia Pizza Bar for those looking for delicious pizza in Essex County. Not only do they offer some of the best pizza around, but the friendly atmosphere makes it worth visiting again and again!

#2 Arturo’s

From the moment I walked in, I could tell Arturo’s was special. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting, like I was already part of the family. There were a few veggie-friendly options, a nice surprise for an Italian joint.

The pizza itself was absolutely delicious. The dough was perfectly crisp and had just enough sauce to bring out the flavor in the cheese. And the toppings! They were fresh and flavorful. It was everything you want from a great pizza experience: delicious, satisfying and memorable.

My only complaint is that they don’t offer delivery service—you’ll have to come in to get your pie—but it’s worth it. Plus, it’s a great tourist spot! You can grab some pizza after visiting Essex County’s attractions or take some back home with you as souvenir slices!

If you haven’t been to Arturo’s yet, stop by soon and try out their pizza for yourself—you won’t be disappointed! It truly is some of the best pizza in Essex County!

#3 Sabatino’s

The atmosphere of Sabatino’s is unmatched. You can tell they take immense pride in their restaurant and it shows. The wait staff is always super friendly and willing to offer suggestions if you’re not sure what to order.

The pizza itself is divine! With so many options to choose from – each with its own unique toppings – you’re sure to find something that will satisfy your craving. Whether it’s the classic margherita or their signature pepperoni, Sabatino’s knows how to make pizza just right.

I must also mention that their prices are quite reasonable for the quality of food you receive. For an additional bonus, they offer a loyalty program where you can earn points for every purchase that can be used towards discounts on future orders. How great is that?

Overall, I highly recommend giving Sabatino’s a try if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in ESSEX County – you won’t be disappointed!

#4 Guys Restaurant & Pizzeria

I had the pleasure of dining at Guys Restaurant & Pizzeria recently and I was blown away by the quality of their pizza. From the moment I arrived, I was treated like royalty — with a warm welcome and an attentive staff that made sure my every need was taken care of.

The pizza itself is truly something to behold: carefully crafted with just the right amount of toppings, perfectly cooked crust, and savory sauce. The flavor combination was delectable and I could tell that each ingredient had been selected with thought and care.

#5 Tony D’s

My first pizza was a classic Margherita, and it was delicious! Fresh tomatoes, creamy mozzarella and fragrant basil made the perfect balance of flavors. The crust was the perfect balance between chewy and crisp – not too thin or thick – and the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness.

For my next pizza, I tried Tony D’s signature BBQ chicken pizza. I found this to be even better than my Margherita experience! The combination of red onion, succulent chicken, sweet barbecue sauce and smoky cheddar cheese created a symphony of flavor in my mouth. The toppings were generous, but not overwhelming.

Finally, for dessert, I ordered their famous Nutella calzone. This was by far the most creative pizza I have ever had – a savory dough filled with molten Nutella and topped with powdered sugar! It was sinful yet delectable.

In conclusion, no one should miss out on Tony D’s when they are looking for the best pizza in Essex County! From traditional pizzas to creativity culinary creations, they have something that will please any taste buds.

#6 La Pizza

The restaurant is quaint, cozy, and very inviting – perfect for enjoying a great pizza. The atmosphere was so comforting that I almost didn’t want to leave!

I had the pleasure of trying their classic pepperoni pizza – it certainly lived up to its reputation. The crust was perfectly golden brown and crispy on the outside, while remaining soft and chewy on the inside. The toppings were fresh with a generous amount of cheese, making it one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!

The service was also top notch – they were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout my visit. They ensured that my meal was cooked to perfection every time.

Overall, La Pizza is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for the best pizza in Essex County. Be sure to try their signature pepperoni pizza – you won’t be disappointed!

#7 Dough Artisan Pizzeria

The pizza here is seriously delicious. They use freshly-made dough, premium ingredients and innovative topping combinations to create pies that come alive with flavor. From the classic pepperoni to the more adventurous barbeque chicken – each pizza is a work of art.

And speaking of art, the atmosphere at Dough Artisan Pizzeria really set it apart from other pizzerias. The decor is modern and stylish, yet comfortable and inviting – perfect for casual dining or a romantic date night.

The service here is also top notch. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly – always making sure our drinks were topped off and our orders arrived promptly.

Overall, I highly recommend Dough Artisan Pizzeria if you’re in the mood for some of the best pizza in Essex County. Perfectly cooked crusts, creative toppings and an inviting atmosphere make this one a real winner!

#8 Blue Steel Pizza Company

Their crust is perfectly thin and crisp, with just the right amount of char to keep it flavorful. The sauce has a beautiful balance of tang and sweetness that complements the cheese perfectly. As for toppings, they can do no wrong – every combination I tried was creative, interesting and delicious!

Even more impressive than their pizza is the atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated with classic elements like exposed brick walls and Edison bulbs, but modern touches like neon signs and projection screens make it feel very current.

All in all, if you’re looking for a great slice of pizza that pairs well with good conversation or some great tunes, Blue Steel Pizza Company is where you want to be!

#9 Brick + Dough

The team at Brick + Dough know their stuff. They have a real attention to detail and a passion for creating the perfect pie. From the crust to the toppings, every inch of each pizza is crafted with care. Plus, their ingredients are top-notch, always fresh and full of flavor.

I especially enjoyed their Hawaiian pizza! It was cooked to perfection in an authentic wood-fired oven, and the pineapple was perfectly sweet and juicy. Not too sweet though; it still allowed the salty prosciutto to come through nicely.

Their atmosphere is super cozy too – complete with vintage records playing on a record player and exposed brick walls that add an extra level of character. No wonder why it’s always bustling!

Overall, I’d say Brick + Dough is one of the best places for pizza in Essex County – if not the whole world! Their pies speak for themselves: they’re delicious and lovingly prepared. If you’re looking for an unforgettable pizza experience – this is it!

#10 Italia Pizza

The pizza crust was cooked just right, so that it was crunchy, yet still had a slight chewy texture. The ingredients were fresh, and the toppings were plentiful! All my favorites were there: pepperoni, mushrooms, olives and even some jalapeños for those who like a bit of spice.

But what made Italia Pizza stand out above the rest was their unique blend of cheeses they use. It actually reminded me of the pizza I had while I was in Italy! They had the perfect blend of mozzarella and parmesan that gave it just enough bite while maintaining a creamy quality.

I also want to mention the friendly staff at Italia Pizza. They certainly made me feel welcome when I visited and I could tell that they take great pride in what they do.

All in all, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Essex County, then look no further than Italia Pizza! You won’t be disappointed!

#11 Se7te Woodfire Pizza

Their craftsmanship is impeccable – they use the highest quality ingredients and take special care to ensure their pies come out of the oven perfectly cooked every time. On top of that, the atmosphere in this place is great. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and I always get a warm welcome whenever I visit.

And let’s not forget about the pizza! The pizzas at Se7te Woodfire Pizza are absolute works of art. The dough is light, airy, and flavorful, while their signature tomato sauce adds a bright and zesty note to each pie. Their selection of inventive topping combinations means that there is something for everyone here. My personal favorite is the roasted vegetable pizza with a garlic-herb oil drizzle – it’s simply out of this world!

#12 Enzo Pizzeria & Restaurant

From the moment I stepped in the door, I could tell this place was special. The aromas of garlic, oregano, and fresh-baked bread filled the air. Even better, there was plenty of seating and a warm atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The pizza here is some of the best I’ve ever had! The dough is time-tested to be perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. They also use top-notch ingredients such as imported extra virgin olive oil and fresh cheese made daily in-house. If that wasn’t enough, all their pizzas are cooked in an authentic wood-fired oven for the best taste imaginable.

To top it all off, Enzo Pizzeria & Restaurant offers a wide variety of beer and wine to complement your meal! I’d recommend trying their ‘Smoky Bacon’ IPA from Germany if you’re looking for something unique.
