I’ve been all over the world tasting pizza, so I have a pretty good idea of what makes a good pie. After traveling thousands of miles and visiting dozens of pizzerias, I’ve narrowed it down to the top 12 in Santa Fe NM.

It’s always more fun when you can find your next slice with a bit of humor and lightheartedness, so I’m here to share my experiences as well as offer some objective insight into each place that made this curated list. So let’s get started on our tour of finding the best pizza in Santa Fe NM!

#1 Door 38 Pizza

I was welcomed by their friendly staff and the smells of their delicious pizzas wafting through the restaurant. It was warm, inviting, and immediately made me feel at home.

The pizza here is made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. They have a wide variety of pizzas to choose from, so there’s something for everyone! My favorite is the classic pepperoni pizza. The toppings are generous and flavorful and the crust is perfectly crispy.

No matter what you order, you won’t be disappointed. The atmosphere is laid-back yet lively and the prices are reasonable. Door 38 Pizza even has outdoor seating where you can watch the sunset while enjoying your meal!

I highly recommend Door 38 Pizza for anyone looking for a great pizza experience in Santa Fe NM!

#2 Bruno’s Pizzeria

I was so impressed with the quality of their pies that I came back twice after my initial visit. They start with a homemade dough and then add toppings made from the freshest ingredients, giving the pizza an incredible flavor.

The crust was delicious, crispy and light – not greasy or heavy like some other places. Their selection of toppings is excellent – from classic pepperoni to inventive creations such as pineapple, onions and feta cheese.

The service at Bruno’s Pizzeria is something else! All of the wait staff were friendly, attentive and had great knowledge of the menu items. I even got to chat with Bruno himself who was incredibly passionate about his craft!

I highly recommend this great little gem in Santa Fe NM if you’re looking for authentic Italian-style wood-fired pizzas in a cozy atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed!

#3 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

The ordering process was a breeze. I simply walked into the store, chose my favorite kind of crust, and loaded up on toppings. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, helping me to decide which topping combinations would make the perfect pizza.

Once I had my pizza ready to go, they handed it over in an oven-ready container. All I had to do was pop it in the oven at home and follow the directions. It was that easy!

When we finally took our first slice of Papa Murphy’s pizza, we were beyond impressed. Topping options were endless and each bite tasted like a gourmet slice from a five star pizzeria! From margherita to s’mores with bacon (yes seriously!), there was something for everyone.

The crust had just the right amount of crunchiness, and any sauce I added blended perfectly with all the flavors from the various toppings.

#4 Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza – Santa Fe

The atmosphere is welcoming and warm, with the wood oven adding a rustic touch to the restaurant. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making it a pleasure to be there.

I ordered their signature ‘Classic with Sausage’ pie, and boy was I not disappointed! The sausage was spiced perfectly, and the mushrooms they added balanced out the flavors. The crust was cooked perfectly in the wood oven, making it crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was truly one of my most enjoyable pizza experiences ever!

#5 Back Road Pizza

The restaurant itself is a nice tourist spot and they even have a kid’s menu, so it’s perfect for any occasion. On top of that, the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, so I felt very comfortable while there.

To my surprise, they also offer some great vegetarian options. That’s something I never expected to find but was pleasantly surprised with! And who doesn’t like dessert? They have some of the best desserts in town too!

My only complaint here is that they don’t do delivery (which would be nice). However, the overall quality of their pizza more than makes up for this. Let’s just say it: Back Road Pizza has the best pizza in Santa Fe NM!

#6 Pizza Centro

I’m not exaggerating either! The crust was perfectly crispy, the tomato sauce had a great flavor and the cheese was unbelievably creamy. And let’s not forget the topping selection – it was like I’d died and gone to pizza heaven!

But the pièce de résistance? The staff! Everyone at Pizza Centro went out of their way to make me feel welcome and valued as a customer. I felt like a king with my own personal court of chefs creating a personalized pizza just for me – nothing better than that!

I know that when I’m back in Santa Fe, I’ll be heading straight for Pizza Centro for some more of the best pizza around. Don’t take my word for it though – go try it out for yourself and you won’t regret it!

#7 Pizza Etc

I stopped in to Pizza Etc a few months ago, and I’ve been telling everyone about it ever since. Here’s why: the pizza dough is made with a special recipe that creates just the right balance of crunchy crust and airy softness. The sauce is rich, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. And of course, the cheese! It’s creamy and plentiful, making for an irresistible combination.

The other great thing about Pizza Etc is its selection of toppings. You can choose from traditional favorites like pepperoni and sausage or branch out with some of their more creative combinations like spinach and feta or roasted garlic and portobello mushrooms. They also offer vegan options such as vegan cheese and marinara sauce so no one has to miss out on the deliciousness.

What really sets Pizza Etc apart though are their specialty pizzas which feature unique ingredient combinations inspired by different regions all over the world – you could get something like a Greek-style pizza one week, then try the Mexican-inspired version the next week! Every time I go back to Pizza Etc they seem to be trying something new.

All in all, my experience at Pizza Etc was nothing short of amazing! If you’re looking for the best pizza in Santa Fe NM, this is definitely the place to go – it definitely lives up to its name!

The first time I visited this place, I was immediately impressed with their selection of amazingly fresh toppings. From the classic marinara to their signature wild mushroom selection, they have something for everyone. The crusts here are always crisp and light, so no matter what topping you choose, it’s always cooked to perfection.

In addition to the quality of the pizza, the atmosphere at Pizza Centro is also top notch. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, with a bright decor that really puts one in a good mood. Service was attentive but not overwhelming, which made my experience even better.

Finally, their prices are more than competitive with other pizza restaurants in Santa Fe NM. For the quality and quantity of food you get from Pizza Centro, it’s definitely worth every penny!

#9 Lino Trattoria and Pizzeria

I was immediately taken with the cozy atmosphere and the inviting staff. Plus, who doesn’t love the smell of baking pizza? But that’s not even the best part — it’s the pizza itself!

The crust was so thin, yet crisp and flavorful. It had a slight char on top, as if it was cooked in an old-fashioned brick oven. The sauce was subtly spiced with all the right notes, and when topped with cheese it created a perfect balance between savory and sweet. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, too.

I can confidently say that Lino Trattoria and Pizzeria serves some of the best pizza in Santa Fe NM! With its delicious slices, friendly staff, and memorably cozy atmosphere, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out if you’re ever in town!

#10 Pizzeria Espiritu

From the moment I arrived at Pizzeria Espiritu, I knew that I was in for a treat. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, with an old-world feel complemented by a modern touch.

The menu boasted a variety of delicious pizzas, all made by hand with fresh ingredients, and the staff was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their offerings. After careful consideration, I decided to go with the classic Margherita—and boy am I glad I did!

The pizza was cooked perfectly and the flavours were amazing. The crust was thin and crispy, just as any good Italian pizza should be. The sauce was savoury and slightly sweet, while the cheese melted perfectly over the top. Overall it surpassed my expectations, definitely living up to its reputation as some of the best pizza in Santa Fe NM!

#11 Upper Crust Pizza Downtown

I arrived at the restaurant and was immediately greeted with a warm smile and an inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal.

The menu itself was impressive – it featured dozens of different specialty pizzas made from fresh ingredients that were sourced from local farms. Every pizza was cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven and packed full of flavor.

I ordered the Italian Inferno pizza, made with Italian sausage, pepperoni, roasted garlic, tomatoes, onions and mozzarella cheese. It was cooked to perfection – the crust had a nice crunch with a subtle smoky flavor. The topping combination went well together and tasted even better when dipped in their house-made marinara.

#12 Draft Station (Rooftop Pizzeria & Draft Station)

I was immediately impressed as I entered the inviting and cozy establishment, the smell of pizza dough hanging in the air. The staff was friendly and made me feel right at home.

The pizza options were plentiful, and they even had some unique toppings that gave them their own flair. After a few minutes of deliberation, I chose a mouthwatering veggie pizza. The wait time was surprisingly short for how busy it was, and my taste buds were rewarded with deliciousness.

But what really puts Draft Station on another level is their selection of draft beers and craft cocktails. It’s like the perfect combination for pizza nights! The drinks really helped to make the meal complete, and I can see why this place is so popular among locals.
