I’ve sampled varieties all over the world, searching for the perfect mix of flavorful crust, creamy cheese, and savory toppings. And after trying out 12 different pizza places in Siesta Key, I’m happy to report that this destination is not one to miss if you’re a pizza connoisseur.

This is a great place for both locals and tourists alike, as it has some amazing vegetarian options for those with dietary restrictions, as well as an extensive selection of delicious alcoholic beverages to help wash down the outstanding food.

I have to say, the pizza itself was nothing short of perfection. The crust was thin and crunchy, the sauce was flavorful and bold, and the toppings were fresh and abundant. This really is some of the best pizza in Siesta Key!

The only downside I can see is unfortunately they don’t offer delivery. That would be really nice if they did since it’s such a tourist destination – but I guess that just means you’ll have to come in and enjoy it in person!

#2 La Mucca Ballerina

I mean, where else are you going to get a pizza topped with beef carpaccio and truffle oil? Or a pizza topped with roasted red peppers, goat cheese, and arugula? All of the pizzas at La Mucca Ballerina are works of art!

Not only do they have some amazing toppings, but the crusts are out of this world. Crispy on the outside and just chewy enough on the inside, these crusts make me want to come back for more.

The atmosphere is also great. I felt like I was eating in someone’s living room rather than a restaurant – it had such a cozy feel. The staff were all friendly and welcoming too, making me feel right at home!

All in all, La Mucca Ballerina is an incredible experience that everyone should try at least once! Between the unique topping combinations and great atmosphere, I’m sure you will agree that this place has some of the best pizza in Siesta Key!

#3 Angelina’s Pizza & Subs

This restaurant is a true testament to the deliciousness of Italian-style pizza. The dough was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection – it had just the right amount of crunch and flavor balance. The toppings were generous and flavorful, making each bite something special.

The service at Angelina’s Pizza & Subs was spot on as well. The waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and attentive – they knew when it was time for a refill or an extra napkin without me having to ask.

I’ve had pizza in some amazing places, but I think the best pizza I’ve ever had comes from Angelina’s Pizza & Subs in Siesta Key! If you’re ever in town and looking for great food, I highly recommend this place!

The crust is perfectly crunchy, the sauce is deliciously savory, and the cheese melted just right. I might be biased since it’s the closest pizza place to my hotel, but I can honestly say that Ripfire Pizza & BBQ has outdone itself with their craftsmanship of flavorful dough and toppings.

Ordering our pizza was easy as pie (no pun intended) with their online ordering system. Within minutes of placing our order we had piping hot pizza out of their state-of-the-art ovens and onto our plate.

Not only is Ripfire Pizza & BBQ home to some of the best pizza in Siesta Key, they also have amazing homemade BBQ sauce that’s smothering some of the juiciest ribs and chicken wings I’ve ever tasted! The sides are also top notch; their cheesy garlic bread and coleslaw have been a nice accompaniment to every meal I’ve had there so far.

If you’re looking for the best pizza in Siesta Key definitely give Ripfire Pizza & BBQ a try! You won’t be disappointed!

#5 🍕 Shaner’s Pizza – Gulf Gate Sarasota

The atmosphere is great, too, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home.

But the real star of the show here is the pizza. From their classic Margherita to their unique specialties, Shaner’s has something for everyone. Their crusts were perfectly cooked and stuffed with tantalizing ingredients and flavorful sauces. I couldn’t get enough!

My favorite part was that they offer a huge selection of toppings so you can create your own custom pizza experience. They also offer an assortment of other delicious Italian-inspired dishes like lasagna and spaghetti as well as classic appetizers like garlic knots and mozzarella sticks if you’re looking for something other than pizza.

Overall, Shaner’s Pizza – Gulf Gate Sarasota offers some of the best pizza in Siesta Key that you won’t want to miss out on!

#6 Origin Craft Beer & Pizza Cafe

The atmosphere of this place is fantastic. The setting is a warm and inviting, with plenty of craft beer on tap to enjoy alongside your meal. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the different types of food they offer.

The pizza itself is made with the freshest ingredients, giving it a unique flavor that I can’t get enough of. Each bite offers something new and unexpected, while still staying true to classic Italian flavors.

I couldn’t resist trying some of their speciality pizzas like “The Works” which features sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, onions, mushrooms and banana peppers. Though I have my favorites, you really can’t go wrong with any choice they have on their menu!

In addition to pizzas, Origin Craft Beer & Pizza Cafe also offers other delicious dishes such as wings, salads and sandwiches. There really is something for everyone here!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant, and if you’re looking for a nice tourist spot in the area I highly recommend giving it a try. The staff were all friendly and attentive, which really added to the overall experience.

As for the food, my taste buds were in for a real treat! They offer some great vegetarian options as well as meat-based pizzas, which was great for my non-meat eating friends. Plus, they’ve got some insanely good desserts too – definitely don’t miss out on that!

The only downside I found was that they don’t offer delivery service – however, given all the other benefits this place has to offer, it’s a minor issue that can be overlooked.

If you’re looking for a great pizza joint with an awesome atmosphere and helpful staff, then look no further than The Fountain Kitchen & Wine Bar. In my opinion it’s definitely one of the best places to get pizza in Siesta Key.

#8 Sal’s Pizzeria & Pasta House

The atmosphere of this charming pizzeria is both cozy and inviting, with a big brick oven in the back of the restaurant to produce some seriously mouth-watering slices. On top of that, the service was attentive and friendly!

I tried two different kinds of pizza, both were fantastic but my favorite was the Margherita. It had a beautiful golden crust, with just the right amount of charring, and it was overflowing with flavor from freshly picked tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Plus, it had an abundance of fresh basil – talk about delicious! The other pizza I tried was the pepperoni; it had all the classic flavors you’d expect from a pepperoni pizza and more.

All in all, Sal’s Pizzeria & Pasta House is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for great pizza in Siesta Key – it’s definitely one of the best spots around!

I recently stopped by this charming restaurant to sample their pizza. And, oh boy, was I not disappointed! When it comes to Napule’s pies, there is something for everyone. From traditional cheese and pepperoni to some more creative flavors like spicy honey or truffle portobello, your palate will be delighted.

The service at Napule is always friendly and attentive too! They really take the time to get to know their customers and are passionate about making sure you have a great experience.

And of course, the pizza itself is out of this world. The crust is perfectly thin with a hint of crunchiness on the outside and chewy goodness within. The sauce always has just the right amount of sweetness and spice. Toppings are always fresh and full of flavor, never soggy!

#10 Rico’s Pizza Gulfgate

From the moment I stepped through the doors of Rico’s Pizza Gulfgate, I knew I had stumbled upon a special place. The décor was colorful and welcoming, and it was obvious that plenty of effort had gone into making sure every last detail was just right.

The pizzas themselves were amazing! Every single one had the perfect blend of flavors and ingredients that left me wanting more. The crust was thin and crisp, while still having enough structure to support the toppings without getting soggy or falling apart. The sauce was flavorful and packed with Italian herbs, giving each bite a zesty kick. And then there were the toppings; fresh vegetables, hearty meats, and all sorts of cheese combinations made for a pizza experience like no other.

My only complaint is that they don’t open early enough on Saturdays – after all, pizza is best enjoyed fresh from the oven! But that’s a minor quibble when considering how truly excellent their pizzas are. I arrived here after hearing rave reviews from locals, and I’m glad I did. From the décor of the restaurant to the friendliness of the staff, this place is top-notch!

The pizza itself was amazing! The crust was light and fluffy yet crispy, while the sauce was rich and flavorful. Toppings were fresh and plentiful–no skimping here.

What sets Demetrio’s apart, however, are their unique topping combinations. I had a pizza with olives, artichoke hearts and mozzarella that was out of this world! It seems no matter what combination you choose, it will be delicious.

The service at Mellow Mushroom Sarasota was top-notch. The wait staff were friendly and welcoming, always offering suggestions on which pie to try next based on my individual preferences. And they also had craft beer recommendations that went perfectly with the pizza – bonus!

Overall, I’d highly recommend Mellow Mushroom Sarasota for anyone looking for some of the best pizza in Siesta Key. Great atmosphere, incredible pizza and awesome service make this place a real can’t miss!

Best Deep Dish Pizza – Joey D’s Chicago Style Eatery & Pizzeria

The moment I walked into Joey D’s, I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma of bubbling cheese and sizzling toppings filled the air, and my stomach rumbled in anticipation. As I sat down, the overly-enthusiastic waiter, who seemed as if he was auditioning for a role in a pizza-themed Broadway musical, welcomed me like a long-lost relative. His energy was contagious, and soon I found myself tapping my feet to an imaginary pizza beat.

I decided to go for the classic deep dish pizza, which arrived at my table like a towering masterpiece. The crust was as thick as a brick, but oh-so-flaky and buttery. Each bite felt like a warm embrace from a doughy cloud. And let’s not forget about the cheese! It stretched and pulled like a cheesy acrobat, and the tangy tomato sauce added a delightful punch.

As I devoured the slice, I couldn’t help but have a moment of revelation. This pizza was so thick, it could double as a flotation device on a lazy river! I pondered the possibility of Joey D’s partnering with a water park to serve pizza life rafts – talk about innovation! But I digress.

Best Thin Crust Pizza – IL Panificio Pizzeria

Let’s start with the benefits. First of all, they serve alcohol. And let’s be honest, what better way to enjoy a truly thin and crispy piece of heaven than with a cold beer or a glass of wine? It’s pure bliss. Secondly, they offer dessert! Who doesn’t love a sweet treat after devouring a whole pizza? IL Panificio understands that pizza and dessert are a match made in heaven and they deliver on that front.

Another great thing about this place is that it doubles as a nice tourist spot. The ambiance is rustic and charming, and it’s located in the heart of the city, making it a perfect stop for both locals and visitors. Now, let’s address the downsides. IL Panificio does not accept reservations. I mean, seriously? Do they not know how much people love their pizza? It’s like they’re asking for a mob of hungry patrons to storm their doors, desperate for a table. But hey, I guess they like to keep things spontaneous. So, my advice would be to go early or be prepared to wait, because trust me, it’s worth it.
