I recently spent a week in this Philadelphia neighborhood, sampling the pies at 12 different spots. Along the way, I found all sorts of interesting and unique takes on pizza. Some were traditional Italian-style pies while others had more eclectic and modern toppings.

#1 Vince’s Pizzeria of Fishtown

My first slice was a classic Margherita – it was delicious! The dough was light, airy and full of flavor. The sauce was perfectly tangy with just the right amount of cheese. It’s clear that Vince knows what he’s doing when it comes to pizza making!

I also tried Vince’s pepperoni pizza. It was dynamite! The crust had a perfect crunch, and the pepperonis were packed with flavor. I’m almost certain I could taste every single one of them!

The atmosphere in Vince’s Pizzeria is one-of-a-kind. It feels like a real Italian pizzeria, complete with bright red tabletops and checkered tablecloths. And the best part? All of their pies come in authentic Italian sizes, which means you can get bigger portions for less money!

I have to say I was a bit skeptical at first when I saw the unassuming storefront. But when I stepped inside, it was like I was transported to a pizza oasis! Everything smelled like freshly made dough and melted cheese.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a few tables scattered around. The staff was friendly and helpful, walking me through the menu while they prepared my order.

After much deliberation, I decided on what had been dubbed their “Famous Fishtown Pizza”, topped with juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella cheese, and a sprinkle of oregano.

The pizza arrived hot from the oven and absolutely delicious! The crust had a light crunch that contrasted perfectly with the soft center. The toppings were cooked to perfection – not too spicy or salty – just flavorful enough to make every bite an unforgettable experience!

I’ve sampled their delectable cheese pizza and their veggie-friendly pesto pizza, but my favorite is the four-cheese tortellini—it’s a game changer! The freshness of the toppings on all of the pizzas was evident.

There were certainly some downsides to visiting Circles and Squares: no delivery option. That would have certainly been convenient, as I’d rather stay in and enjoy my pizza night than venture out with all of Fishtown’s hustle and bustle.

Still, despite this minor inconvenience, I’d recommend Circles and Squares to anyone in search of the best pizza in Fishtown. Bon Appetit!

I was immediately impressed by the inviting atmosphere and the amazing smells coming from the kitchen. The staff was friendly, warm and very knowledgeable about their menu.

The pizza here is incredible! They have a large selection of unique toppings, including fish tacos (yes, fish tacos on pizza!) and even vegan options. The crust is perfectly thin and crisp, with just the right amount of chewiness. Toppings are always fresh and expertly applied, resulting in a delicious blend of flavors that you won’t find anywhere else.

I’m not one to skimp on desserts, so I had to try their famous Nutella Pizza for dessert. Let’s just say it didn’t last long – it was simply too good!

Next, I moved on to their specialty – the Bianca Verde pizza. This pie is covered in roasted garlic ricotta, blistered shishito peppers, pickled chilis, mozzarella and pecorino romano. Every bite was a delicious combination of spicy, tangy and savory flavors that had me coming back for more!

I finished my meal off with a slice of Caroline the Great Pie – a sweet yet savory pizza made with potato cream, bacon lardons, provolone and gorgonzola dolce. As soon as I tasted it I knew why everyone said it’s the best pizza in Fishtown! Every ingredient was perfectly balanced and complimented each other in an amazing way. It was like symphony of flavors in my mouth – truly sensational!

Overall, Pizzeria Beddia exceeded all my expectations when it came to great tasting pizzas. The quality of ingredients is top-notch, the staff is friendly yet professional, and all the pies were cooked to perfection. What makes it so special? Well, for starters, they have some really unique vegetarian options that always excite me. Plus, it’s a great tourist spot, which gives you the perfect opportunity to explore Fishtown and try PIZZA Shackamaxon at the same time.

However, one downside is that they don’t offer delivery, so you’ll have to journey in person to enjoy the amazing pizza goodness! But trust me, it’ll be worth the trip!

I was met with a warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff who were quick to answer my questions and make sure I felt welcome. The menu was full of delicious options that I just couldn’t resist. From the classic Margherita to their more unique offerings like the Nonna Pie – topped with ricotta, garlic, honey and prosciutto – it’s obvious they put great thought into creating the perfect flavor combinations.

The highlight of the experience were definitely their wood fired pizzas. The thin crust had that perfect crunch and didn’t get soggy or greasy under the generous toppings. The combination of flavors from the cheese, sauces and spices made each bite a unique experience that I could have sworn was from Naples itself!

On my recent trip to this humble neighborhood of Philadelphia, I was taken aback by the sheer quality of their pies. From the moment I stepped inside the restaurant, I was welcomed with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Italian-style brick walls, wine bottle chandelier, and cozy booths set the perfect stage for a delicious meal.

The menu was full of unique offerings like wild mushroom pizza with truffle oil and artichoke hearts and all sorts of specialty pies. But what really wowed me was their signature dish: the Medusa Pie. It’s topped with mozzarella, pepperoni, onions, black olives, and mushrooms – a classic combination!

The crust was crispy on the bottom but airy in the middle – exactly how I like it. And each bite was exploding with flavor thanks to their flavorful sauce and generous amounts of fresh ingredients. Overall, it was some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted!

As soon as I stepped in the door, I knew I was in for a treat. The pleasant, inviting atmosphere was only surpassed by the delicious aroma of pizza wafting through the air. Seated at my table, I noticed their attention to detail in every aspect of their decor – from the art on the walls to the comfortable seating.

I decided to order their popular Margherita Pie and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The dough was thin and crispy, while still being light and fluffy inside. But before I dive into the cheesy goodness, let me warn you about one downside of this place – they don’t accept reservations. I mean, come on Joe, it’s 2021! I had to stand in line for what felt like an eternity, watching pizza enthusiasts drool over slices while I anxiously waited for my turn. It was like a cruel joke, and I was the punchline.

Now, let’s talk about the pizza. Oh my, it was a slice of heaven! The crust was so thick and doughy, it was like biting into a cloud. And the cheese! It was like a molten, gooey lava flow of mozzarella. I’m pretty sure I heard angels sing when I took my first bite.

But the real star of the show? The toppings! They piled on every ingredient imaginable. I swear, they must have raided an entire grocery store to create these pies. Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers – you name it, they had it! It was like a mini pizza buffet on my plate.

As soon as I walked into Pizzeria Vetri, the smell of freshly-baked dough hit me like a carb-induced dream. The atmosphere was cozy, with dim lighting and a rustic decor that made me feel like I was dining in the heart of Naples.

I started off my pizza adventure with their Margherita pizza. As the waitress placed the piping-hot pie in front of me, I couldn’t help but admire the vibrant tomato sauce and the perfect balance of mozzarella and basil leaves.
