I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment on a recent journey through the area, and I was not disappointed. The crust was thin and perfect, with just the right amount of crunchy char. Their homemade sauces have big flavor that stands up to other top-tier pizzerias, and their toppings are fresh, generous and plentiful.
But the true gem of Totally Baked Pizza is their incredible selection of creative specialty pies. From their ‘Maui Wowie’ topped with macadamia nuts, pineapple, jalapenos, bacon and mozzarella to their ‘Vegan Piña Colada’, featuring vegan sausage, coconut shreds and crushed pineapple… how can you go wrong?
The atmosphere at Totally Baked Pizza is truly unique; cozy yet lively – perfect for an evening out with friends or a fun family dinner. On top of all that great food, they offer an extensive craft beer list sure to please any palate.

The restaurant atmosphere at Pierre’s Brooklyn Pizza & Deli is inviting, with high industrial ceilings and exposed brick walls. They also have an outdoor seating area where guests can enjoy their meals al fresco.
The service at Pierre’s Brooklyn Pizza & Deli was exceptional. My waiter was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. He was able to recommend a few pizza toppings combinations that I would never have thought of trying before!

I arrived at the restaurant and was immediately greeted by a warm and welcoming staff. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making for a pleasant dining experience. After taking a seat, I was presented with an amazing selection of delicious pizzas to try. I opted for the classic pepperoni pizza and wasn’t disappointed; it was a real treat!
The crust was thin yet crunchy, and just the right amount of cheese blended perfectly with the tangy tomato sauce. Topping perfection! And the pepperoni had just enough spice to give it that extra kick. The whole experience was simply divine!

The first time I visited Rasicci’s Pizza, I immediately noticed the classic Italian vibe. From the décor to the music, it was clear that they are committed to providing an authentic Italian experience!
When it came time to order, I was blown away by their enormous menu of toppings and sauces. Whether you like classic pepperoni or something a bit more exotic, Rasicci’s Pizza has something for everyone!
After waiting just 15 minutes, my pizza arrived fresh and hot from the oven. The crust was thin with a nice char on the bottom and the sauce had the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. Topped off with fresh mozzarella cheese, this pizza was definitely one for the books!

#5 Fiesta Pizza And Chicken

The first thing I noticed when I entered the restaurant was the amazing smell of pizza and chicken. The delightful aromas were enough to make my mouth water in anticipation!
I immediately ordered their specialty, the Fiesta Supreme Pizza. It did not disappoint – it was full of wonderful flavors and had a perfect combination of ingredients. The crust was thin and crunchy, just like I like it. And the toppings were a delicious mix of pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers that really elevated this pizza to a whole new level!
I also sampled their fried chicken, which was equally as good as the pizza. The breading was crunchy and flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning.
The staff at Fiesta Pizza And Chicken was friendly and helpful throughout my visit – they made sure I had everything I needed and even gave me some recommendations on some other dishes I should try on my next visit!

I’ve tried pizza all over, from Italy to Hawaii, but Dewey’s Pizza still stands tall among the best. Their crust is perfection – light and fluffy with a hint of crispiness that adds an extra level of deliciousness. The sauce is tangy, yet sweet and it’s combined with fresh vegetables to make some truly scrumptious pies.
The atmosphere at Dewey’s Pizza is cheerful and inviting, with friendly wait staff and a fun vibe that really makes you feel like part of the family. Plus, the prices are great – you can get two slices for under five dollars!
Overall, I highly recommend Dewey’s Pizza to anyone looking for some of the best pizza in Akron OH! Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely be back for another slice!
#7 DeChecos Pizzeria
The moment I walked in the door, I knew this place was something special. The smell of freshly cooked pies filled the air and the service was friendly and helpful.
I ordered the classic cheese pizza topped with a few extra peppers, mushrooms and olives. When it arrived at my table, I could tell they hadn’t skimped on ingredients – it was overflowing with flavor! The crust was light and fluffy yet still crispy along the edges. It had just enough sauce to make it juicy without being soggy. It also had a generous amount of cheese, which melted perfectly into each slice.
My overall experience at DeChecos Pizzeria was nothing short of amazing! The pizza was some of the best I’ve ever tasted, but more importantly, their service (and prices) make them stand out as one of the top pizza restaurants in Akron OH! If you haven’t made your way over yet, you’re definitely missing out!
#8 Italian Garden

When I arrived, the warm atmosphere of Italian Garden instantly drew me in. The beautiful brick oven heated up the entire restaurant with an undeniable smell of fresh dough, sauce, and cheese that had my mouth watering for a slice.
The staff at Italian Garden were incredibly welcoming, quickly seating me and offering the “recommended” pizza which was loaded with four types of cheese and their homemade sausage. And they weren’t kidding- each bite was absolutely amazing. The crispy crust gave way to a gooey center that held together all the wonderful flavors, while the sausage added an extra kick. My taste buds were singing!
I also had some of their garlic knots, which melted in my mouth as soon as I took a bite. Clearly it wasn’t your average pizza joint!
At the end of my meal I concluded that Italian Garden is truly one (if not THE) best pizza places in Akron OH – thank you for making this traveling food critic very happy!

#9 Gino’s Pizza

My first experience at Gino’s was unforgettable. The smell of the freshly baked pizza dough greeted me as I walked through the door. And when my slice of pepperoni arrived, it was perfectly golden brown, with a flavor and texture that I can only describe as divine.
The toppings were delicious and generous. The tomatoes were fresh, the cheese was creamy, and the pepperoni had just enough spicy kick to make it truly special. And all of this was backed up by a light yet flavorful crust that held all of these ingredients together in perfect harmony.
On top of that, the service at Gino’s was outstanding! Everyone from the waitstaff to the owners were friendly and accommodating. They answered any questions I had with genuine care and attention to detail – something you don’t find often in pizza places these days!
Overall, I highly recommend Gino’s Pizza for anyone who loves great tasting pizza and a pleasant dining experience. It’s easily one of the best pizza places I’ve visited across North America and beyond – definitely worth checking out if you’re ever in Akron OH!
#10 D’Agnese’s at White Pond Akron

I have to admit, when I first arrived at D’Agnese’s I was a bit skeptical. After all, could this small restaurant really match up to the delicious pizzas I’ve had during my travels? But once the first bite of pizza hit my mouth, my doubts quickly disappeared!
The crust was perfectly chewy and flavorful. The cheese was melty and gooey just like it should be. And their unique toppings took their pizzas to another level! You can find anything from broccoli rabe to Greek olives for your topping choices!
The service at D’Agnese’s was top notch too – everyone was friendly and helpful with getting me what I wanted. Plus, the prices were surprisingly affordable given the quality of the pizzas they offer.
All in all, I highly recommend D’Agnese’s if you’re looking for the best pizza in Akron OH – it will definitely be a pizza experience worth remembering!
#11 DiCarlo’s Pizza – Akron

The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was helpful. They helped me choose from their wide selection of specialty pizzas, which were all cooked to perfection! The toppings were fresh and flavorful – I particularly enjoyed the Vegetarian Delight pizza with its unique combination of flavors.
The crust was just the right mix of crunchy and chewy, and the sauce was perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. Overall, it was a great experience!

But let me just give you a fair warning. This place does not accept reservations. So unless you have the patience of a saint, be prepared to put your name on the waiting list and compulsively check your phone every five seconds like a teenage girl waiting for a text from her crush.
Now that we’ve tackled the downside, let’s dive into the benefits. Rasicci’s Pizza is not only a great place to satisfy your belly, but it’s also a nice tourist spot. The walls are adorned with pictures of famous musicians holding slices of pizza, because apparently, pizza is the key to musical success. Who knew?
Walking into Rasicci’s, you’ll be greeted by a host who acts like he’s auditioning for a community theater production of Hamilton. I half-expected him to break into a song about the wonders of their deep dish pizza. Nonetheless, his enthusiasm is infectious, and not just because he sneezed on me. But hey, that’s what happens when there’s no elbow room at the crowded entrance.
Once you finally get to your table, you’ll be treated to a sight that’s truly awe-inspiring. Picture a mountain of cheesy goodness, so deep and tall that it looks like it could reach the ceiling. It’s like staring into the pizza abyss, and trust me, you’ll want to take the plunge.
In terms of flavor, Rasicci’s deep dish pizza does not disappoint. The crust is absolutely divine, buttery and flaky, like a croissant’s pizza cousin.
