I’ve tried the best of what Alameda has to offer and I’m here to share with you my experience – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Out of 12 pizza places in Alameda, these are the ones that stood out to me for being truly delicious. #1 Hesher’s Pizza

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the inviting atmosphere. The wood paneled walls made it feel warm and cozy, while the oversized paintings of pizza-loving celebrities such as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe kept me laughing.

The service was top-notch. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, able to answer all my questions about the menu items. Plus, they had a great selection of beer to choose from!

Now let’s talk about what really matters – the pizza! The crust was perfect – crispy on the outside but still thick enough to support all that delicious topping without getting soggy. The sauce was fresh and flavorful, just the right amount of tangy. And the toppings? They really took it over the top with exotic options like roasted pineapples and portobello mushrooms.

That’s not even mentioning their speciality pies such as ‘the Don’ featuring Italian sausage, peppers and onions or ‘the Boss’ with four cheese blend topped with pepperoni and grilled chicken. Yum!

#2 Edible Happy Pizzeria

When I first walked in to Edible Happy Pizzeria, I was immediately impressed by the cheerful atmosphere. The decor was upbeat and inviting, with fun posters and a chalkboard wall that included some entertaining pizza-related trivia. My mouth was already watering when I noticed the delicious smells emanating from the kitchen.

The service at Edible Happy Pizzeria was friendly and they took my order quickly. When my meal arrived, it looked phenomenal — a huge 12” pizza topped with melted cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers and mushrooms. The crust had just the right amount of crunchiness; not too soft, but not too hard either. The veggies tasted fresh and the sauce had an excellent flavor. And let’s not forget about the cheese — oh boy! It was high quality mozzarella that added an extra layer of creaminess to each bite. All of these flavors come together perfectly for an unforgettable pizza experience!

Overall, Edible Happy Pizzeria has easily earned its reputation as serving some of the best pizza in Alameda. Highly recommended!

#3 Trabocco Kitchen and Cocktails

The atmosphere here is great – it’s a nice tourist spot, and you can get alcoholic drinks to wash down your pizza (even hard liquor!). They have some options for vegetarians too, which is always a plus.

But the best part of their menu has to be the dessert. I’m usually not big on sweets, but Trabocco’s got me hooked with their insanely good dessert selection. I’m already looking forward to returning on my next visit!

The atmosphere is top-notch – the decor is modern, yet warm and inviting. The service is always friendly, often with a great sense of humor. It’s a place that can make you feel like you’re coming home each time you visit.

But the pizza – oh my goodness! Philomena’s pizza is simply amazing! It’s cooked to perfection every single time; it’s hot, the crust is crispy and chewy, and the toppings are extremely fresh and flavorful. I’m partial to their pepperoni pie myself, but they have plenty of other options too – I highly recommend their vegetarian option if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary.

Simply put, if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Alameda, then Philomena should be your first stop. You won’t be disappointed – trust me on this one!

#5 Bare Knuckle Pizza

The pizza here has a really unique flavor that is hard to come by elsewhere. Every slice is delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The crust is crunchy and light, the sauce is savory but not too overpowering, and the toppings are always fresh.

What really makes Bare Knuckle Pizza stand out though is their creative toppings! They have some truly unusual combinations that you won’t find anywhere else. Whether it’s spicy grasshoppers, deep-fried mac & cheese bites or maple-glazed bacon – these guys know how to make an interesting slice of pizza!

The atmosphere here is also awesome. The restaurant has a laidback, friendly vibe with lots of seats and tables so you can always get a good spot to relax with your friends and enjoy the best pizza in Alameda. Plus, they offer great deals all week long!

#6 Marley G’s Pizzeria

When I walked into the restaurant, I was welcomed with a warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff that made me feel right at home. The smell of freshly made pizza in the air was divine!

The menu had a wide range of options, from classic Italian-style pizzas to unique specialty pies. With so many delicious choices, it was tough to decide what I wanted. But after much deliberation (and drooling), I settled on a classic Margherita pizza with crispy thin crust.

It’s safe to say that Marley G’s pizzas are truly out of this world! Their thin, crunchy crust is perfectly seasoned and blistered in all the right places – absolutely sublime! And the toppings were just as delicious – juicy tomatoes and gooey cheese that melted in my mouth. It all combined for an incredibly flavorful experience!

I’ve been to plenty of pizza places around the world and I have to say that Marley G’s is the best pizza I’ve ever had. If you’re ever looking for great pizza in Alameda, Marley G’s is definitely the place to go!

#7 East End

I ordered the “Deluxe” pizza and it sure did not disappoint. The thin crust was perfectly crunchy, and when combined with the homemade sauce, juicy pepperoni and a trifecta of cheeses, I was in pizza heaven!

The atmosphere at East End is amazing too. With its brick oven and firewood-burning stove, there’s an amazing wood-fired aroma that just beckons you in. And the interior décor is completely charming – it feels like stepping back in time to an Italian pizzeria!

But what really sets East End apart from other pizzerias is their customer service. They make you feel like family as soon as you step through the door. So even if their pizza wasn’t as good as it is (which it totally is!), I would still recommend East End for its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.

In my opinion, if you’re looking for the best pizza in Alameda, then East End should be your go-to spot – you won’t regret it!

#8 The Star on Park

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit – it’s hip and modern, with tiled floors, exposed brick walls and high ceilings. The staff were friendly, welcoming and eager to answer any questions I had about their menu.

But let’s get to the most important part – their pizza! It’s some of the best I’ve tasted anywhere. It starts with a flavorful dough made daily on site, topped with fresh ingredients like tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, olives and mushrooms. Then they add the perfect amount of cheese, making sure not to overwhelm the other flavors. Finally they bake it to perfection in a hot brick oven that seals in all that delicious goodness.

Each bite was an explosion of flavor that left me wanting more! Even after two massive slices (which were surprisingly light) my stomach thanked me for indulging but still wanted more!

#9 1400 Bar & Grill

When you first walk in, there is a great atmosphere — it’s a great place to grab a drink (they even have hard liquor!), watch some sports, and enjoy some delicious pizza. And don’t worry about the kids: they’ve got an awesome kid’s menu! Plus, after you finish your meal, you can satisfy your sweet tooth with some dessert.

The only downside? They don’t offer delivery, but luckily you won’t need it because the restaurant is so cozy that it’s almost like being at home!

So if you’re looking for one of the best pizzas in Alameda, look no further than 1400 Bar & Grill.

#10 Pizza My Heart

The decor is bright and cheery, and the menu is full of unique options that you won’t find anywhere else. I started out with some classic slices of pepperoni and cheese pizza, which were cooked perfectly. The crust was light and flavorful, and the topping combination was spot-on.

I then indulged in a specialty pizza that my server highly recommended: the BBQ Pork Pizza With Apple Slaw. This pizza absolutely lived up to expectations! The pizza crust had just a hint of sweetness from the slaw dressing, while the pork provided a smoky flavor that balanced it all out.

To finish off the meal, I had their take on tiramisu — Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cake! The cake itself was moist and airy, and the cookie dough bits added just enough texture. Even if you don’t like traditional tiramisu, this one is definitely worth trying.

Overall, I can confidently say that Pizza My Heart is one of the best places for pizza in Alameda. If you’re looking for an unforgettable meal experience, be sure to check them out!

#11 Graffiti Pizza

Not only did I find the pizza delicious, but the atmosphere was also great. The walls were covered with graffiti-style artwork, giving the restaurant a unique and vibrant vibe.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful – I felt right at home in this cozy pizzeria. The servers were so friendly that they even kept me entertained by telling jokes between orders!

The pizza was truly out of this world. They had a wide selection of options, including some with creative toppings like pineapple and bacon. Every slice was cooked perfectly and tasted like it was fresh out of an Italian kitchen.

All in all, Graffiti Pizza is definitely one of my top spots for the best pizza in Alameda. From its fun atmosphere to its delicious menu, there’s something for everyone here!

#12 MOD Pizza

I’ve always had an eye for great pizza, and MOD Pizza definitely didn’t disappoint. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that the atmosphere was very energetic and lively – and this only heightened my expectations.

The pizza selection is top notch. You can choose from a variety of classic toppings or build your own with all sorts of delicious unique ingredients like pineapple, spinach, artichokes, etc. The combination possibilities are endless, and it’s totally up to you!

But the best part about MOD Pizza is how quickly they make your food – your pizza is made right in front of you while you wait! In just minutes you have a fresh, hot slice of pure pizza perfection ready to be devoured!
