From the moment I stepped through their doors, I knew this place would be special. The decorations were fun and the atmosphere was inviting. Plus, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The pizza itself was incredible! The crust had just the right amount of crunch and the toppings were full of flavor. Even after having pizza all around the world, Pizza Pie’s pies gave me a memorable experience that will last for a long time.

However, there is one downside to Pizza Pie: no delivery! This means you have to get off your sofa and drive to get some of their delicious slices. But trust me, it’s worth it!

So if you’re ever in Altoona PA, make sure you pay a visit to Pizza Pie. It’ll be an unforgettable experience!

#2 29th St Pizza Subs & More

When I entered the restaurant, I was immediately blown away by the intoxicating smell of fresh dough rising and sauce simmering on the stove. The beautiful wood-fired oven in the corner of the room could be seen from every vantage point in the cozy space.

The menu options at 29th St Pizza Subs & More were unlike anything I had ever seen before. Not only did they have traditional pizzas like pepperoni and Margherita, but they also had some unique specialties like their “Mountain Pie” which is topped with a layer of browned potatoes, onions, and herbs – it’s truly a work of art!

When it came to toppings, 29th St really delivered. With a combination of fresh vegetables, high-quality meats, and house-made cheese blends, each pizza was packed with flavor and texture.

I can honestly say that my experience at 29th St Pizza Subs & More left me feeling completely satisfied. The service was excellent and the pizza was truly delicious – there’s no doubt in my mind that it’s some of the best pizza in Altoona PA!

#3 Mama Randazzo’s Pizzeria

I know, I know. Altoona isn’t exactly known for its culinary diversity, so it came as quite a surprise to me when I heard that they had an amazing pizza joint in the city.

First thing’s first: The crust! Mama Randazzo takes their crust seriously. It is buttery, lightly crisp and perfectly baked with just the right amount of char. But what really sets it apart is that it tastes like it was made with love. Every bite is packed with flavor and you can tell great care and attention was put into making each slice special.

The toppings are well-crafted, fresh and flavorful. They range from classic pepperoni to more adventurous combinations like roasted red peppers, bacon and feta cheese. Each combination complements the other perfectly and my personal favorite is their version of a “White Pizza” which includes garlic cream sauce with spinach, artichoke hearts and mozzarella cheese—it’s simply divine!

Overall, Mama Randazzo’s Pizzeria is definitely worth checking out if you’re ever in Altoona PA. Their delicious pizzas will have your taste buds singing praises!

#4 Sal’s Original Italian Pizza

My experience at Sal’s was nothing short of fantastic. I started off with the cheese pizza, and it was simply to die for. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, while the sauce had a hint of oregano that really made it stand out from any other pizza I’ve ever had.

The toppings selection was also remarkable. They have all kinds of delicious ingredients like Italian sausage, artichokes, olives, jalapeno peppers, mushrooms and much more. You can even get creative and try their unique meatball-stuffed crust or their delectable breadsticks!

I also sampled some of Sal’s famous garlic entrees – a creamy garlic shrimp pasta dish with spinach and artichoke hearts that just melted in my mouth! It was absolutely divine.

As for the atmosphere of the restaurant itself, it is warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my meal – which definitely added to the whole experience!

Sal’s Original Italian Pizza lives up to its reputation as being one of the best pizzas in Altoona PA! If you’re ever in the area make sure to stop by – you won’t be disappointed!

#5 Best Way Pizza – 6th Ave, Altoona

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the staff is friendly and helpful, and most importantly, the pizza tastes absolutely delicious. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, and their hand-tossed dough has just the right amount of seasoning. The quality of their ingredients is top notch – you can taste the freshness in every bite. I’m particularly fond of their signature pizza creations like the Hawaiian BBQ or Garlic Veggie Special – both are simply divine!

I’d also recommend trying one of their specialty pizzas. Their BBQ Chicken Supreme was packed with flavor that had me asking for seconds! For those looking for something a bit healthier, they also have an impressive selection of salads as well as their gluten-free options.

To sum it up, Best Way Pizza – 6th Ave has some truly outstanding pizza! Whether you’re a local resident or just passing through Altoona PA, this is definitely the place to go for the best pizza in town.

As soon as you walk in, the aroma of the freshly baked dough is enough to make your mouth water. Once you order, their pizzas come out fresh and hot with all sorts of delicious toppings that will make your taste buds sing!

Their staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure that each diner has a great experience while they enjoy their pizza. The atmosphere is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with friends or family.

I’d have to rate Front Street Deli’s pizza a solid 10/10. The crust is light and fluffy, the cheese perfectly melted, and the toppings are always cooked to perfection. Every time I’ve gone there, I’ve left feeling happy and satisfied!

The staff at Original Italian Pizza are wonderfully friendly and provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests. In addition to the pizza, their selection of salads is top-notch and their garlic knots are always cooked just right.

Overall, I’m convinced that Original Italian Pizza has some of the best pizza in Altoona PA. Whether you’re looking for classic pepperoni or something more adventurous – like Hawaiian Pineapple or Eggplant Parmesan – you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend this place!

#8 Dino’s Pizza

I was hesitant to try a restaurant that seemed so small, but was I ever pleasantly surprised. The pizza dough was light and airy, with just the right amount of crispy edges. The sauce was homemade and packed with flavor. The toppings were generous and every slice was bursting with cheesy goodness.

The staff at Dino’s Pizza is also excellent – they always seem to be in a great mood and go out of their way to make sure that you have a pleasant dining experience.

At first, the portion sizes were a bit intimidating and I was skeptical that this pizzeria could really deliver a quality product. Boy, was I wrong! The crust of the pizza was cooked just right; it had a nice crunch to it, but still retained its integrity when you bite into it. The cheese and toppings were cooked to perfection. The sausage on their Italian Specialty pizza was especially flavorful; it had an equal balance of seasonings that just falls apart in your mouth.

The atmosphere of Michael’s Pizzeria is also worth mentioning. As soon as you walk through the door, you’re greeted with warm hospitality from the staff. On top of that, they have incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all their delicious menu items.

All in all, Michael’s Pizzeria has earned my stamp of approval for serving up some of the best pizza in Altoona PA! If you’re ever passing by Altoona PA, make sure to stop in and try one of their great pizzas. You won’t regret it!

#10 Chuck E. Cheese

The atmosphere is perfect for a family outing. The games and activities are enjoyable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Plus, their signature ‘Crazy Bread’ is to die for!

When it comes to pizza, Chuck E. Cheese’s has definitely hit the mark. Their crust is crispy yet fluffy on the inside–the perfect combination if you ask me. And their toppings are always fresh and top-notch. From pepperoni to mushrooms to ham, they’ve got it all.

Plus, the prices are very reasonable given the quality of food you get in return. A large pie only costs around $13!

Overall, I’d highly recommend grabbing a slice (or two!) from Chuck E. Cheese’s next time you’re in Altoona PA looking for pizza. It may not be gourmet Italian food but for what it is, this place stands out above the rest!

#11 Joe’s Pizza & 6 Pack

I’m sure glad I stopped in this little pizza joint, because it was absolutely delicious. The crust had just the right amount of crunch and the sauce was flavorful and fragrant.

And their topping selection? It’s impressive! There are so many options to choose from – really anything you could think of, from classic pepperoni to creative concoctions like pineapple and bacon. It’s clear Joe’s puts a lot of thought into their menu.

But what sets Joe’s Pizza & 6 Pack apart from other pizzerias? Well, that would have to be their presentation: each pizza comes on a wooden board with an accompanying six pack of beer! Now that’s something you don’t see everyday.

To top it all off, the staff at Joe’s were incredibly friendly and accommodating. From start to finish, they made my dining experience incredibly enjoyable. If you’re looking for some great pizza in Altoona PA, you need look no further than Joe’s Pizza & 6 Pack – it truly is the best in town!

#12 All Star Pizza & Subs

I was truly impressed the moment I stepped through the door. The pleasant aromas of freshly-baked dough, tomato sauce and melted cheese filled my nostrils with delight. The warm and friendly atmosphere made me feel right at home, as if I had been invited into someone’s den.

The staff greeted me with enthusiasm and a knowledge of their menu that had me salivating in anticipation of what lay ahead. After much deliberation, I chose to sample the All Star Supreme pizza. By golly was it good! This pizza came topped with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions – all perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection on a nicely charred crust which was simultaneously crispy yet chewy.

The pizza delivered an exceptional flavor profile that included subtle hints of smoky char, cheese goodness, zesty tomato sauce, and savory meats. Did I just hear a little bit of Heaven? Knowing that this is the best pizza in Altoona PA makes me want to make it my regular lunch spot!

All Star Pizza & Subs truly takes pizza-making to a whole new level – they have mastered a delicious combination of ingredients and cooking technique that will keep me coming back for more every time! If you haven’t visited yet then you’re missing out on some seriously amazing pizzas!
