When I first walked into Don Macos, I was expecting the typical pizza joint. But what I found instead was an intimate atmosphere, with a wood-burning oven cooking some of the most delicious pizzas I’ve ever had.

The pizzas here are made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. Their signature pies–the Don Macos Specialità and Truffle Prosciutto & Arugula–are two of my favorites. The crust is thin, but not too thin, and is crisp around the edges with just the right amount of chewiness.

One of their unique offerings is their “Grande Margherita”. This pie includes a large host of unique toppings: marinated tomatoes, capers, olives and anchovy filets. The blend of flavors created by these toppings are impeccable! Deliciousness in every bite!

I also have to give props to their staff as they were friendly and accommodating to all my needs. From helping me pair wines to suggesting new variations on classic pies; they know what they’re doing!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting, and the service is friendly. The menu features a variety of traditional Italian pizzas with unique toppings like gyro meat, roasted garlic, and pesto. I decided to try their “Signature” pizza which came with a generous helping of fresh mozzarella cheese and savory Italian sausage.

The crust was thin and had a perfect crunch when I bit into it. The flavor was intense but not overpowering – just enough spices to tantalize my taste buds without being too much. And the toppings were cooked perfectly – fresh and flavorful. I kind of felt like a gourmet chef myself!

But what really made this pizza stand out were two things: the sauce and the cheese. The homemade tomato sauce had an intense flavor that brought the entire pizza together in harmony.
