I have tasted pizza from Tokyo to Munich and everywhere in between. But, believe it or not, I think I may have just found some of the best pies I’ve ever had right here in Central New Jersey!

I was pleasantly surprised to discover twelve delicious pizzerias that serve up generous slices of flavor-packed deliciousness. #1 Massa Roman Square Pizza & Italian Specialties

I mean, what can I say? The crust was a perfect balance of crunchy and chewy. The sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of spice. And the cheese! Oh my goodness, the cheese was like something from a dream.

But it wasn’t just the pizza that made this place stand out – the Italian specialties were also great! From pasta dishes cooked to perfection to creamy homemade gelato, each bite was like a little slice of Italy.

And let’s not forget about their friendly staff! Everyone was incredibly helpful and accommodating, which really added to our overall experience. Plus, they offered quick delivery so I could enjoy their delicious pizza in the comfort of my own home!

#2 Arturo’s

I visited the restaurant with an open mind and I have to say that the atmosphere was great, prompting me to try some of their vegetarian options. To my surprise, their menu had plenty of options for all types of palates and dietary restrictions.

That may be what made the experience all the more enjoyable- every bit of pizza that I tasted was delicious! The crust was just crispy enough which complemented the other ingredients very nicely.

But it doesn’t end there, Arturo’s also offers a few desserts like cannoli and cheesecake. All in all, it was definitely worth the visit!

Unfortunately they don’t offer delivery so if you’re looking to enjoy some Arturo’s pizza at home then you’ll need to visit their location in person. However, it’s worth noting that this restaurant is a tourist spot; so why not make a day out of it?

#3 G’s Famous Pizza 3

The atmosphere of the restaurant is surprisingly cozy, despite its location in a small strip mall. The owners have done an excellent job of creating a unique ambiance here, with the tables and chairs upholstered in cheerful colors that make you feel like you are sitting in a little pizzeria in Italy.

When it comes to their pizza, G’s Famous Pizza 3 really knows what they’re doing. Their dough is perfectly thin and crispy, as well as being made fresh daily. And their sauce truly gives the pies its signature flavor – it tastes like something that’s been simmering on the stove top for hours!

Their toppings are also top-notch. The cheese is rich and flavorful (not too salty!), while their toppings range from classic Italian sausages to shrimp scampi! They also offer gourmet pizzas, such as the “Chicken Alfredo” pizza, which contains grilled chicken breast and loads of Alfredo sauce. Yum!

Overall, my experience at G’s Famous Pizza 3 was outstanding – if you haven’t tried them yet, you should definitely give them a shot! I guarantee it’ll be one of your new favorite spots for pizza in Central New Jersey!

#4 Pete & Elda’s Bar / Carmen’s Pizzeria

The ingredients they use are always fresh and flavorful, the pizza crust is crispy and chewy, and the sauces are incredibly tasty. The overall flavor of the pizza is unparalleled. I’ve been to quite a few places around Central New Jersey that try to pass off mediocre pizza as something amazing, but Pete & Elda’s Bar / Carmen’s Pizzeria stands out as different from the rest.

What makes this place truly special are the people. Everyone from the servers to the cooks to the owners have such enthusiasm for their pizza that it rubs off on all their customers. It’s a fun atmosphere when you walk in! They definitely take pride in what they do, which translates into amazing food.

#5 Vic’s Italian Restaurant

I had the pleasure of visiting this charming restaurant for lunch, and their pizza was a standout. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, and the cheese was freshly melted with just the right amount of seasoning. Plus, I could tell the tomato sauce was made from scratch – it was one of the best I’ve ever had!

The toppings were top-notch as well – they had all my favorite ingredients like fresh mushrooms and peppers, plus some creative options like basil pesto and roasted eggplant.

The atmosphere at Vic’s Italian Restaurant is also quite nice. The decor is classic, cozy Italian style with rustic woods and inviting colors. The staff were all friendly and helpful too, ensuring that my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.

For anyone looking for a delicious slice of pizza in Central New Jersey, I can’t recommend Vic’s Italian Restaurant enough! It’s definitely one of the best places in the area for a slice or two!

#6 Federici’s Family Restaurant

The cheese pizza was simply divine, and the crust was cooked to perfection. I also tried one of their veggie pizzas for something a little more exotic, and it didn’t disappoint either. Plus, the restaurant serves alcohol – even hard liquor! – so you can enjoy a cold beer with your favorite pie.

Federici’s Family Restaurant doesn’t just have pizza though; they provide an awesome kid’s menu so everyone in the family can find something they love! And if you like sweets after your meal, you’re in luck because their desserts are insanely good. It almost felt like a tourist spot–which is great because I’m always on the lookout for new places to check out.

Unfortunately, it seems they don’t do delivery, but considering the quality and variety of their food and drinks, I’m sure that Federici’s Family Restaurant will still be one of my go-to spots in Central New Jersey whenever I need a quick slice or two!

#7 Papa’s Tomato Pies

The atmosphere is lively, with colorful decorations and friendly staff. The pizza itself is a work of art – perfect sauce, generous toppings, and a crust that’s crispy on the outside yet still fluffy on the inside.

The menu offers a wide variety of classic pizzas as well as some unique creations; I sampled several slices of their signature pies during my visit and was impressed with each one. Not only do they offer delicious traditional options like pepperoni and cheese, but also gourmet choices such as roasted eggplant or porcini mushrooms.

#8 Brooklyn Boys Pizza & Deli

I first noticed their wonderfully crisp, thin crust and a great selection of toppings. From classic cheese to pepperoni and even some interesting combinations like zucchini artichoke and roasted mushroom, they had something for everyone.

But what really stood out was the delicious sauce! It was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned that I could have just drunk it up with a straw! The combination of the sauce’s depth with the different flavors of the toppings created something truly special.

The atmosphere was also just right—family-friendly but still modern enough to make you feel like you’re in an up-to-date pizza joint. Plus, the staff was friendly and welcoming.

The crust was light and fluffy, with just the right amount of crunch. The sauce was perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness that really made the pizza stand out. The cheese was melted to perfection and had a nice gooey texture. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, without being too overwhelming.

The atmosphere at Nomad Pizza is laid back and relaxed, yet still lively. Service was quick and friendly, which is always a plus in my book!

From the moment I entered Giddy’s, I knew I was in for a treat. The place was bustling with people, and there was a mouthwatering aroma of fresh pizza coming from the kitchen.

The pies at Giddy’s are works of art. They use fresh, quality ingredients on perfectly baked dough to create truly unique pizzas. Their signature pie is a classic pepperoni pizza that is topped with extra cheese and a sprinkle of oregano. It melts in your mouth and makes for an unforgettable pizza experience!

The staff at Giddy’s Pizzeria were also top-notch. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help suggest new toppings and combinations – making it easy to customize my order to perfection!

#11 De Lorenzo’s Tomato Pies

The atmosphere at De Lorenzo’s is the perfect setting for an authentic Italian pizza experience. From the smell of fresh parmesan cheese when you walk in, to the cozy booths and friendly staff, it just feels like home.

When it comes to the pizza itself, I was certainly not disappointed! The delicious combination of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and flavorful olive oil is simply divine. The crust is light and fluffy – not too thick, not too thin. Just perfect!

I’m also a big fan of their garlic knots – they’re so good that I sometimes order extra just so I can take them home with me!

Overall, there’s really no other place in Central New Jersey that serves up such great tasting pizza. De Lorenzo’s Tomato Pies has quickly become my favorite spot for the best pizza around.

#12 Talula’s

The atmosphere is great! The place is always warm and inviting, with a friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. The decor is modern yet cozy, and the music always sets the perfect ambience for pizza eating.

I had the pleasure of indulging in their signature cheese pizza, topped with tomatoes, basil, garlic, and parmesan cheese. It was cheesy goodness incarnate! The thin crust was light and crispy yet elastic enough to hold up all of those delicious toppings. And let me tell you, every bite was pure bliss!

But what really sets Talula’s apart from its competitors is their unique selection of specialty pizzas. From buffalo chicken to caprese with pesto, they have something for everyone! Not to mention their pastry crust pizzas—a must-try if you’re feeling adventurous.

It’s clear that Talula’s takes pride in what they do: baking some of the best pizza in Central New Jersey. So if you’re ever in town and looking for a delicious slice or two (or twelve!) then I highly recommend Talula’s Pizza!
