I’ve tried 12 of the local pizza joints in my quest for the best slice, and I’m here to report back with my findings.

From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special. The distinct aroma of garlic, oregano, and fresh-baked crust welcomed me to their cozy seating area. Even before we ate, the service was top notch – the hosts were friendly and accommodating.

When our pizza arrived, we were taken aback by how huge the slices were! We ordered a classic margherita pie, and the ingredients were simply exquisite. The tomatoes were so ripe that they burst with flavor as soon as you bit into them. The cheese was flavorful and stringy, just like it should be. The thin crust had a nice crunch that gave way to a pillowy center – it tasted even better than it looked!

All in all, Pizzeria Bella Vista by Signorelli is an amazing pizza spot that knows how to make some of the best pies around. Their attention to detail is outstanding and their hospitality is second to none. If you’re ever in Chesapeake VA, do yourself a favor and check them out – you won’t regret it!

#2 Chesapeake Pizza

The crust is perfectly cooked and deliciously crunchy, the sauce is fresh and flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh and plentiful. Not to mention, their selection of specialty pizzas offer a unique twist on classic recipes that have me coming back for more every time.

The staff at Chesapeake Pizza is also top notch – they’re always friendly and eager to help with any special request I have. Plus, they consistently turn out great pizzas in record time!

I’ll be honest though, the ambiance of the restaurant could use some work – it could definitely use a bit more personality or maybe even a fun theme. But hey, who cares about atmosphere when you have the best pizza in Chesapeake VA?! No one!

#3 Baba’s Pizzeria

The atmosphere is inviting and the staff are friendly – I could tell that they genuinely care about their customers’ experience.

I tried their classic cheese pizza, as well as a few of their specialty pies. Each one was really flavorful and cooked to perfection. The crust was perfect, crispy on the outside but chewy in the middle. And let’s not forget about the generous amounts of cheese and toppings. They were both generous and delicious!

My favorite thing about Baba’s Pizzeria is that they are always coming up with new recipes to tantalize your taste buds. For instance, I had an amazing Italian-style pie topped with olives, tomatoes and homemade pesto sauce – it was out of this world!

Overall, my experience at Baba’s Pizzeria was excellent. Their pizza is easily some of the best I’ve ever had in Chesapeake VA, or anywhere else for that matter!

#4 Andiamo Ristorante & Pizza Napoletana

The restaurant has everything I could hope for in a pizza joint – great pizza, an amazing selection of alcoholic beverages (including hard liquor!), a kid’s menu, and even some delicious desserts. The only downside is that they don’t do delivery.

That being said, it’s definitely worth the trip out to Andiamo Ristorante & Pizza Napoletana. The pizza is cooked to perfection every time, with super thin crusts and topped with all sorts of delicious ingredients. And while the food alone would be enough to make me come back again and again, the fact that they have great drinks and fun desserts just takes them over the top!

So if you’re looking for the best pizza in Chesapeake VA, Andiamo Ristorante & Pizza Napoletana is definitely your best bet. It may take a little bit of extra effort to get there, but trust me – it’s totally worth it!

#5 MOD Pizza

I had the pleasure of stopping by their restaurant and indulging in some delicious slices. The atmosphere was inviting – they have a modern, contemporary style that’s really quite pleasant.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating – they were able to take my order quickly and help me customize my pizza the way I wanted. I had a wonderful time chatting with them about the restaurant and getting their recommendations for the best pies.

Now onto the pizza. It was phenomenal! I ordered an 11” Classic Red Pizza with mushrooms, onions, feta cheese, and yogurt dressing on top – it was delectable! There’s something very unique about MOD Pizza – you can tell that each ingredient is fresh and of the highest quality. From their dough to toppings, it all comes together to create something truly special.

I think it goes without saying that MOD Pizza is one of the best places for pizza in Chesapeake VA. It may not be your traditional Italian-style pizza, but if you’re looking for a great experience along with an amazing slice then look no further than MOD Pizza!

#6 Ray’s Pizza

The moment I stepped inside, I could tell this was a special place. The smell of pizza in the air gave me that classic Italian pizzeria feel—like stepping into an old-fashioned trattoria in Naples.

The staff were friendly and attentive to my needs, answering questions about their pizzas and various ingredients with enthusiasm.

But of course, what really matters is the food itself. And let me tell you, Ray’s Pizza does not disappoint! Their pizza crust has just the right amount of crunch and flavor, while their cheese is always perfectly melted and creamy. And the sauce! The sauce at Ray’s Pizza is out of this world: fresh and flavorful with hints of herbs and spices that make it stand out from other pizzerias.

To top it all off, they offer a selection of delicious toppings that range from classic options like pepperoni to more creative ones like artichoke hearts. No matter what combination you pick, you’re guaranteed to be satisfied.

I recently visited their restaurant and was immediately impressed with their commitment to quality. From their freshly made dough, to the flavorful toppings, every bite of pizza was a delight. Whether you prefer classic cheese or loaded veggie (which I highly recommend!), Andy Boy’s has something for everyone.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is also something special. The décor is warm and inviting and they offer a great selection of craft beers to complement your meal. The staff is friendly and prompt, so you don’t have to worry about waiting too long for your order.

Overall, my experience at Andy Boy’s was wonderful! The pizza is among the best I’ve had anywhere in the world, and the atmosphere makes it such a pleasure to dine there. Highly recommended if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Chesapeake VA!

#8 Yianni’s Neighborhood Pizzeria and Family Restaurant

I was more than pleasantly surprised to find an incredible menu of unique pizzas, all served with the freshest ingredients. The classic Margherita pizza was perhaps my favorite – the perfect blend of sweet and spicy tomato sauce, freshly shredded mozzarella cheese, and fragrant basil leaves. It was truly like a bite of heaven!

But that’s not all Yianni’s has to offer. They have an amazing selection of specialty pies such as the deep-dish Sicilian with its thick layer of dough and layers upon layers of cheesy goodness. Or how about their signature pizza “The Yianni,” a delectable combination of sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and grilled chicken? So many delicious options!

And let’s not forget dessert…Yianni’s serves up an impressive array of desserts including homemade tiramisu, cannolis and much more — the perfect way to top off an already wonderful meal.

In short, I highly recommend Yianni’s Neighborhood Pizzeria and Family Restaurant if you’re looking for the best pizza in Chesapeake VA. Trust me; you won’t be disappointed!

#9 Windy city pizza chesapeake

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with its dim lighting and modern decor. Plus, the wait staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

The pizza was out of this world! The crust was thin, light, and wonderfully crisp. The sauce had just the right amount of tangy sweetness to it. And the topping combinations were creative yet delicious; everything from classic pepperoni to veggie-packed supremes. Even for a picky eater like myself, I was quite impressed!

The prices at Windy City Pizza Chesapeake are fair and reasonable compared to other similar establishments in the area. And even though they don’t have delivery service, they do offer carryout or you can dine in their cozy dining room (which I highly recommend).

Overall, if you’re looking for excellent pizza in Chesapeake VA, then Windy City Pizza Chesapeake should definitely be on your list! It’s one of the best pizza joints around–hands down!

#10 Cristaldo’s Pizza

I am so glad that I stopped in to sample the pies here. The crust was perfectly crispy, yet infinitely soft and chewy–just the way pizza should be. Plus, they load on the toppings! Everything from pepperoni to artichokes to pineapple–and all were cooked to perfection.

But what really sets Cristaldo’s Pizza apart is its unique flavor. Not only does its dough have an amazing taste but it also has a unique smoky flavor that lingers in your mouth long after you’ve finished eating.

The staff at Cristaldo’s Pizza was also exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They took time to answer my questions about their signature dishes and gave me great recommendations for the perfect pizza pie.

If you’re ever in Chesapeake VA looking for a great pie, look no further than Cristaldo’s Pizza – it’s definitely where I get my best pizza fix!

#11 Marco’s Pizza

I stopped by Marco’s Pizza on a recent visit to the area and was blown away! The atmosphere is inviting and the staff is friendly. Plus, the pizza is absolutely delicious! The crust is always perfectly cooked with the perfect amount of crunch, and the sauce has an amazing flavor that pairs perfectly with their fresh and flavorful ingredients. I had a pepperoni pizza, and it was simply divine!

Overall, Marco’s Pizza definitely lives up to its reputation as one of the best pizzas in Chesapeake VA. It’s worth every penny, and I can’t wait to come back soon for more mouthwatering goodness!

#12 Frank’s Pizza

Upon entering, my first thought was “wow, this looks like a real Italian pizza joint!” The interior was cozy and inviting, with plenty of Italian-inspired decor. The smell of delicious pizza filled the air.

The menu selections at Frank’s Pizza were quite impressive. I decided to try their signature House Specialty: a classic Margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella and basil pesto. It was definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The dough was perfectly cooked with just enough crunch, and the toppings were exceptionally flavorful and fresh.

I also had the opportunity to sample their dessert pizza — it definitely didn’t disappoint! A generous layer of Nutella spread on top of a cinnamon-sugar dough and topped with fresh fruit made for an absolutely incredible flavor combination that I definitely recommend giving a try.

If you’re looking for great pizza in Chesapeake VA, look no further than Frank’s Pizza! Their quality ingredients, outstanding flavors, and excellent service make this place worth visiting again (and again!). Trust me when I say that you won’t be disappointed!
