I’ve been all over the world looking for the best of the best, and I’ve narrowed my search down to 12 pizza places in the area. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to give you a thorough review of each one.

Unlike other food critics with an “eat it and beat it” attitude, I’m taking it slow this time. In addition to enjoying all the great pizzas on offer, I’m also going to bring some humor into this article.

#1 Mohio Pizza Co.

From the moment I stepped into the cozy, family- friendly atmosphere, I knew I was in for a treat. The staff were unbelievably kind and accommodating to my every request, from recommending their favorite toppings to helping me select a wine pairing that complemented my meal.

The pizza itself was exquisite. Mohio’s owner is meticulous about using only the freshest local ingredients for every dish, and it really made every bite burst with flavor! The crust was delightfully thin and crispy on the edges yet still had a nice chewiness in the middle. The sauce was spot-on sour and tangy with just enough sweetness to make it pair perfectly with the variety of toppings.

I can honestly say that Mohio Pizza Co. has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in Delaware OH! If you’re ever in town looking for an unforgettable experience to share with your family or friends, this is definitely one place you won’t want to miss out on!

#2 Four Points Pizza & Grill

The first thing that drew me to this restaurant is its cozy atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the decor is modern yet timeless. I was delighted to see a variety of different pizzas on the menu, from the classic supreme to creative flavors like spicy BBQ tandoori.

When it comes to the pizza itself, it hit all the right notes for me. The crust was perfectly crisp yet pillowy, and the toppings were tastefully balanced. Even though I’m a bit of a pizza purist at heart, I appreciated their willingness to try something new with flavors like blueberry mashed sweet potatoes and beets instead of meat.

#3 Amato’s Woodfired Pizza

The amazing thing about Amato’s Woodfired Pizza is that it truly has something for everyone. The crust is cooked perfectly with a combination of char and crunch, making each bite irresistibly delicious. The toppings have been carefully selected to highlight the flavors in the pizza from the classic pepperoni and cheese combos to the more adventurous options like their special ‘Smoking Bishop’ which features smoky bacon, pepperoni, roasted peppers, red onions and smoked Gouda cheese combination.

The atmosphere at Amato’s Woodfired Pizza is also quite welcoming with plenty of outdoor seating if you’re interested in a warm summer evening, or cozy leather couches indoors if you don’t feel like braving the cold Delaware air.

All in all, I would highly recommend this pizza restaurant to anyone visiting Delaware OH looking for great pizza. It’s definitely one of my go-to spots on my travels!

#4 Jet’s Pizza

The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with a modern twist. The staff are friendly and accommodating, always adding a personal touch to their service.

Now let’s talk about what really matters – the pizza! Jet’s Pizza is nothing short of delicious, with a perfect crust and just the right balance of cheese and sauce. The toppings are always fresh, with loads of meats and veggie options. Plus they have specialty pizzas like Hawaiian BBQ that are mouthwateringly good.

I’ve tasted many pizzas from around the world, but Jet’s Pizza stands out as one of my favorites! I’m convinced it has some of the best pizza in Delaware OH.

#5 Shorty’s

At first glance, Shorty’s looks like a small mom and pop joint, but don’t let the casual atmosphere fool you. The owners take pride in the quality and freshness of their ingredients, which makes for some incredibly delicious and unique pizza.

The traditional pepperoni pizza is scrumptious – perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. But it gets even better with their speciality toppings like pineapple, jalapenos, ham, and bacon. They really know how to make a pie that packs a flavorful punch!

The crust is always crisp yet airy, rising up from the edge of the pan giving way to a delightful crunch with each bite. And even though I’m usually picky about my pizzas, I found myself devouring every last slice down to the last crumb!

Overall Shorty’s earns top marks in my book as one of the best pizza places around. From their fresh ingredients to their perfect cooking techniques, they’ve nailed the perfect balance between taste and texture. If you’re looking for an amazing pizza experience in Delaware OH, look no further than Shorty’s!

#6 Dairy Depot

The atmosphere here is great; I felt like I was in a classic Italian pizzeria. The staff were friendly, the food arrived quickly and the prices were affordable. Plus, they had an awesome kid’s menu which made it perfect for my little ones.

The pizza was stellar! The crust was thin and crispy and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. And don’t even get me started on their dessert menu! They really know how to treat their guests with deliciousness.

The only downside of Dairy Depot is that they don’t offer delivery service, so if you’re looking for a delicious slice without leaving your house, then you’ll have to look elsewhere.

Overall though, Dairy Depot is definitely worth trying out – it’s literally some of the best pizza in Delaware OH!

#7 Payne’s Pizza & More

The pizza was perfect – crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The cheese was nice and gooey, with just the right amount of seasonings. I especially enjoyed their signature pepperoni and mushrooms topping – it was mouth-watering!

I’m also impressed by their selection of other food items, such as sandwiches, salads, wings, and more. What really sets Payne’s Pizza apart is the fact that they use only fresh ingredients. You can taste the quality in every bite.

But perhaps what I like most about Payne’s Pizza & More is its variety of sauces and toppings. From classic marinara to barbecue bacon, there’s something for everyone here! And don’t forget about their specialty pizzas – be sure to try their spinach Alfredo or chicken parmesan! They’re simply divine.

All in all, I enthusiastically give Payne’s Pizza & More a five star rating for its perfect pizza, high-quality fresh ingredients, wide variety of options, and delicious sauces and toppings. If you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Delaware OH, then this is definitely the place to go!

#8 Gabby’s Italian Restaurant

The pizza was delicious – the thin, crispy crust with just the right amount of cheese and toppings was a treat! I got to try their popular specialty pizzas, like the Gabby Special. It had pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage and mushrooms with a creamy white garlic sauce. Absolutely amazing!

The staff here were also great. The servers were friendly and attentive, and they were knowledgeable about the ingredients in each pizza. They were also helpful when it came to answering questions about specific slices.

Overall, Gabby’s Italian Restaurant is definitely worth trying out if you’re looking for some good pizza in Delaware OH. They’ve truly earned their title as one of the best pizza spots in town!

#9 Donatos Pizza

The dough was soft and fluffy, just the right amount of chewy. The sauce had a pleasant sweetness, but not too much that it overpowered the other flavors. The cheese was melted perfectly with nice brown spots sprinkled on top. The toppings were plentiful and fresh, really making the pizza come alive.

But what really sets Donatos Pizza apart from other places is their creativity with the toppings. They offer some unique combinations like banana peppers and chicken, or even pesto and pepperoni! Not to mention they have an impressive selection of vegan pizzas as well.

I think Donatos Pizza is truly one of the best pizza places in Delaware OH, and I’m so glad I took this opportunity to sample their amazing pies!

#10 Pizza Hut

I want to preface this review by saying: forget all the bad press Pizza Hut has gotten in recent years because the pizza I had at this particular location was amazing. The crust was perfectly cooked with a nice, crisp outside and a chewy inside. The topping combinations were top-notch, too. I thoroughly enjoyed the pepperoni and jalapeno pizza that I ordered; it had just the right ratio of meat to cheese and spicy peppers.

The service at Pizza Hut was outstanding as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and kept our drinks filled throughout our meal. They even provided extra napkins when my wife spilled her soda!

Overall, if you’re looking for great pizza in Delaware OH, Pizza Hut is definitely worth checking out. It may not be gourmet Italian food but it’s delicious and reasonably priced — what more could you ask for?

#11 Sbarro

First off, the crust. It was thin and crispy, with just the right amount of chewiness. The sauce was flavorful and added a nice zing to the slices. On top of that, they use some of the freshest ingredients around, so it really helps to make their pizza stand out.

The toppings were abundant and varied. From pepperoni to mushrooms to sausage, you can get whatever topping combination you want! My favorite is the classic cheese pizza: gooey cheese melted all over the slices combined with generous amounts of sauce makes for a great flavor experience.

I also like how fast I can get my pizza here too. No waiting in line or ordering by phone; just order in person, place your order and voila! Pizza ready in no time!

All in all, this is definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted in Delaware OH, and I’d highly recommend Sbarro for anyone looking for a delicious slice!

#12 Hungry Howie’s Pizza

I just had to try their pizza for myself, so I stopped in the other day and decided to give it a go. I certainly wasn’t disappointed! The pizza was delicious – the perfect ratio between crispy and soft crust, with just the right amount of cheese and sauce toppings. Plus, their selection of specialty pizzas was really impressive. From veggie to sausage and pepperoni, they had something for everyone’s palette.

The staff was also incredibly friendly – all my questions were answered with patience and helpfulness. Plus, they provided a great atmosphere – full of laughter, good music, and great smells coming out of the oven! Just what you’d expect from a top-notch pizza joint!
