In my quest to find the very best pizza in Dover, I’ve tasted and reviewed 12 different pizza spots. While it wasn’t always easy (or necessarily pleasant!) to try that many pizzas, it was definitely worth it as I have found some real gems that are sure to satisfy your taste buds!

#1 Cartelli’s North End Pizza & Pasta

I’m sure glad I decided to take a chance on this place because the pizza was outstanding. The crust was just the right balance of crunchy and chewy and the sauce had a nice kick to it that really accentuated the deliciousness of the toppings. The pepperoni was full of flavor, the sausage was perfectly spiced, and each vegetable topping added just the right amount of freshness.
The restaurant itself is quite charming too! The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, with a family-friendly vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home as soon as we stepped through the door.
In conclusion, Cartelli’s North End Pizza & Pasta definitely lives up to its reputation as making some of the best pizza in Dover NH! If you’re looking for an authentically delicious Italian pie, then this is definitely the place for you! Buon Appetito!

I have to say, I’ve never seen a pizza joint quite like this before. Not only are they serving up some of the tastiest pizza I’ve had in a while, but they also have alcohol for the adults and even a kid’s menu for the young ones. As if that wasn’t enough, La Festa Brick & Brew also offers some great vegetarian dishes and delicious desserts.
The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery options. However, the restaurant itself is a great tourist spot so it’s definitely worth stopping by at least once if you find yourself in Dover NH.
Overall, La Festa Brick & Brew is one of the best places around to get your pizza fix!
#3 River Bend Pizza & Subs

I stopped into River Bend Pizza & Subs for lunch one day and instantly I knew I was in for a treat. The place had a warm, cozy atmosphere with delicious smells coming from the kitchen. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, it felt like I was part of their family.
The menu had all the typical Italian favorites, plus some unique options that you don’t find in many places. The Margherita pizza was especially good – it tasted like it was made straight out of the Old Country! It had the perfect balance of cheese, tomato sauce, and herbs which combined to make an unforgettable pizza experience.
I also tried a few of the subs – they were fantastic too! The bread was freshly baked and perfectly crispy on the outside while still being soft and chewy inside. The combinations of meats, cheeses, and vegetables were carefully chosen to bring out maximum flavor in every bite.
Overall, my experience at River Bend Pizza & Subs has made me convinced that they have some of the best pizza in Dover NH. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, I highly recommend checking out this great restaurant!
#4 Durham House of Pizza

From the moment I walked through the door, it was obvious that this place takes their pizza very seriously. From the staff to the decor, everything oozed class and quality.
The pizzas themselves were incredible! Every single bite was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. The crust was crisp and golden, just like I like it. The sauce was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. And the cheese? Shredded white cheddar at its finest!
My favorite topping combo? Spinach and feta – yum! As an added bonus, all ingredients are locally sourced from farms in nearby Durham – so you know they’re fresh as can be.
I have to give kudos to Durham House of Pizza for creating some of the best pizza in Dover NH! Be sure to try it out when you’re in town next time; you won’t regret it!
#5 Domino’s Pizza
The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with a generous helping of cheese that melted in your mouth. The tomato sauce had just the right balance of sweetness and acidity to it, and the toppings I chose all blended together nicely.
The staff at Domino’s Pizza was also very friendly and accommodating. They were more than willing to answer my questions about their ingredients or spices used in their recipes.
All in all, Domino’s Pizza was an amazing experience for me. It’s definitely one of the best pizza places I’ve ever visited and should be on everyone’s list when looking for the best pizza in Dover NH!

The moment I stepped into Katz’s, I was hit with the delicious smell of fresh pizza. The interior was cozy and inviting, making it perfect for grabbing a quick lunch or dinner.

The atmosphere was great. The restaurant had a warm and inviting environment, complete with dim lighting, cozy tables, and a large bar to enjoy a selection of craft beer and wine.
When it came to the pizza, they definitely did not disappoint. I sampled each of the pizzas on their menu and they were all delicious! The crust was perfectly thin and crisp while still maintaining that nice doughy flavor inside. The sauce was flavorful with a hint of sweetness and the cheese was gooey and melted in my mouth like butter. My favorite topping combination was the classic pepperoni and sausage – it had the perfect balance of salty and spicy flavors that really elevated the overall taste of the pizza.

#9 Strafford House of Pizza

The first thing that stood out to me was the atmosphere. The restaurant has a down-home, old-fashioned look and feel– which I love! It’s a great place to gather friends or family for a cozy evening.
When it came time to order, I went with their signature dish: the “Straf-A-roni.” It was a delicious combination of pepperoni, sausage, onions, peppers, and mushrooms. The pizza was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of toppings. Plus, their handcrafted sauce had a nice balance of sweetness and spice.
I also tried some of their other specials including the “Dover Delight” and the “Hawaiian Lover,” both of which were excellent. Both pizzas were deliciously unique and creative— showing off Strafford House’s skill in crafting scrumptious pies!

My experience started off with the friendly staff who welcomed me like I was family. They even gave me a sample of the house special before I placed my order – that’s how confident they are in their pizza!
And they were right – it was memorable! The crust had the perfect crunch and balanced flavor, while the sauce was sweet and tangy. The cheese on top was gooey and melted perfectly into the mix. I haven’t tasted anything quite like it before.
To top things off, they have an impressive selection of unique toppings to choose from – I highly recommend adding their signature pickled jalapenos! The combination of flavors simply can’t be beat!
Kendall Pond Pizza II definitely merits a five-star rating for their delicious pizza – easily some of the best pizza in Dover NH!
#11 Papa Gino’s

The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is inviting, and most importantly, their pizza is simply delicious.
I tried one of their speciality pizzas – the Mediterranean veggie pizza – and boy was it tasty! The tangy combination of feta cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts and olives was just out-of-this-world. The thin crust was perfectly cooked and had a great crunch to it.
I also ordered one of their famous calzones which were stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella and pepperoni. This was definitely one of the best calzones I’ve ever tasted! It had great flavor plus an excellent crust that held together perfectly when I took a bite.
My overall experience with Papa Gino’s in Dover NH was fantastic! They obviously take pride in their craft because every single dish I tried had amazing flavor and superior quality ingredients. If you’re searching for the best pizza in Dover NH then be sure to check out Papa Gino’s!

I was pleasantly surprised when I visited the restaurant. Their menu had delicious options, including kid’s meals, so no one went hungry. And for those of us looking for something a bit stronger than soda, they actually have alcohol and hard liquor!
Their pizzas were amazing – the crust was thin and crispy with just the right amount of moisture and flavor, and their toppings were always fresh. Plus there was an interestingly wide selection of unusual combinations. My personal favorite was their pepperoni and bacon pizza with caramelized onions – it’s safe to say that I’ve never tasted anything like it before!
And to top it all off, Strafford Farms Restaurant served some of the best desserts I’ve ever encountered. Rich flavors that hit you in all the right spots without being overly sweet!
My only complaint about Strafford Farms Restaurant would be that they don’t offer delivery services – luckily we were able to visit the restaurant often enough to not miss out on their amazing food!
