I ordered a simple Margherita pizza with extra cheese and oh man, it was amazing! The crust was thin and crispy with just enough char from the wood fired oven. The tomatoes were fresh and sweet, and the cheese was gooey and delicious.

When I arrived, the place seemed to be straight out of a fairytale — all the staff were friendly, attentive and passionate about pizza. The restaurant itself was a pleasant surprise — decorated with colorful banners and strings of lights.
The menu had all the usual suspects such as classic margherita, but what really caught my eye was their specialty pizzas. Think delectable combinations of fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil and balsamic glaze on top of a thin but crunchy crust. Delicious!

Now, I don’t say that lightly. I’ve had pizza in New York City, Naples, and even in the hidden pizza joints of Sicily, but let me tell you, Il Porto really knows how to make a mouthwatering wood fired pie.
The first thing that caught my eye when I walked into Il Porto was the impressive wood-fired oven smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. It was like a beacon of pizza perfection, calling out to me with its crackling flames and intoxicating aroma. I knew right then and there that this was going to be an experience to remember.
