After tasting twelve different pizzerias across the small California town, I’m ready to share the best of the bunch. My time in Elk Grove has been extremely delicious – and blonde! No need for a passport, I’ve packed my appetite and am ready to honorally judge these establishments’ claim to fame: pizza!

Though this isn’t my first rodeo (or pie-o!), I’ll keep an open mind as I embark on a humorous and lighthearted journey of finding the best pizza in Elk Grove. Ready? Let’s go!

#1 Pizza Twist – Elk Grove Bruceville, Elk Grove, CA

When I first walked into Pizza Twist, I immediately noticed the vibrant atmosphere. The walls were a kaleidoscope of colors, and the kitchen staff were having a lively conversation in Italian. In that moment, I knew this was going to be a special pizza experience.

I decided to try their signature dish: their BBQ pulled pork pizza. From the first bite I could tell it was made with fresh ingredients and crafted with care. The combination of sweet caramelized onions and smoky BBQ flavors created a delightfully balanced taste profile that completely surpassed my expectations.

The secret to their perfect pizza lies in the house-made dough, which is placed in the oven for just the right amount of time to create a perfectly crisp crust with just enough char to give it some extra flavor.

#2 Fat Mikes Pizza

On my first visit to this restaurant, I was definitely taken aback – the interior has a fun old-school atmosphere and the pizza boxes are covered with funny quotes. Plus, the staff was really friendly, which always adds to the experience.

The pizza here is top notch – you can tell they use high-quality ingredients and make their dough fresh every day because it has that perfect combination of crunchiness and chewiness. There’s a good variety of sauces and toppings as well so you can customize your order however you like. I opted to try one of their classic combos and it did not disappoint!

Overall, Fat Mike’s Pizza is easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Elk Grove. If you’re in town looking for a delicious slice of pizza, this place should be your first stop!

#3 Old Town Pizza and Tap House

I’d come here even if I wasn’t a food critic- and do! It’s a great tourist spot with something for everyone. They’ve got some vegetarian options, so that even the pickiest of eaters can find something delicious. Not to mention, they serve alcohol so you can get your grub on with a cold beer or glass of wine.

The pizzas are all made using only the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection in their wood-fired oven. Think crispy yet chewy crusts, gooey melted cheese, and topping options galore! Whatever kind of pizza experience you’re looking for you can find it at Old Town Pizza and Tap House.

Unfortunately, there is one downside: no delivery service. But trust me, it’s worth driving down Main Street for a slice (or two!) of their delicious pizza!

#4 Pizza Bell

The atmosphere of Pizza Bell is inviting and cozy. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The interior had a modern yet rustic vibe with Italian murals on the walls that added a nice touch to the already vibrant setting.

The menu was extensive, offering an array of delicious pizzas such as pepperoni, sausage & mushroom, veggie delight, and more. After much deliberation, I decided to go for the classic margherita pizza. And what an excellent decision that was!

The pizza arrived piping hot and fresh out of the oven! The crust had a great texture with just the right amount of crunch to it. The tomato sauce was flavorful without being overpowering, while the cheese was gooey and melted perfectly in my mouth. And lastly, the toppings (basil leaves, garlic slices) added their own flavor which made my experience even better!

All-in-all Pizza Bell is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for some really good pizza in Elk Grove! Even after all my travels around the world sampling different pizzas this spot ranks up there at the top as one of my favorites!

#5 Lamppost Pizza

The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the staff was attentive to my every need. The pizza was hot and fresh, with a crisp crust that cooked evenly across the entire surface. The cheese was gooey and flavorful, and the toppings were plentiful.

I tried the veggie pizza, which included mushrooms, peppers, onions, olives, and tomatoes — all fresh from the local farmers market. Every ingredient complemented each other wonderfully. And as an added bonus, I got to try some of their amazing garlic knots too!

Overall, Lamppost Pizza is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for great pizza in Elk Grove. With its delicious pizza, top-notch ingredients, and excellent customer service, it truly makes for one of the best pizza experiences I’ve had in recent memory.

#6 Todo Un Poco

I was so excited when I arrived, as it’s one of the few places in town that serves alcohol (and hard liquor). But even better is their menu: they have a kid’s menu, some vegetarian options and even dessert! It’s like heaven on Earth.

The pizza is amazing. The perfectly charred crust has just the right amount of crunch and the flavors are out of this world. If you’re in Elk Grove looking for great pizza, Todo Un Poco is where you want to be.

The only downside I can see is the fact that they don’t offer delivery. But if that doesn’t bother you then I highly recommend making a visit and indulging in what will certainly become your favorite place for pizza in Elk Grove!

#7 Pizza Bell

I’ve been to the hippest pizza spots in Milan, New York and Chicago, but the quality of the pizza at Pizza Bell rivals those high-end joints. The crust was so light and fluffy – and incredibly tasteful! I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a crust this much before.

The sauce was just as good. It had all the right notes of sweetness and acidity with a hint of spice that gave it an unforgettable flavor. They use only the freshest ingredients at Pizza Bell and you can definitely taste it in every bite!

I also liked the variety of toppings they offer – from classic pepperoni to creative combinations like feta cheese, artichoke hearts, and roasted eggplant slices – there’s something for everyone here!

Overall, my experience at Pizza Bell was one I won’t soon forget. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere cozy and inviting, and most importantly, their pizza is simply some of the best around town! If you’re looking for an amazing slice (or even an entire pie) head on over to Pizza Bell for sure.

The environment is perfect for a casual, family-friendly dinner. The wait staff were friendly and welcoming, and the decor was cozy and inviting.

Of course, the pizza was the star of the show. The crust was crispy and light, with just enough tangy contrast from the perfectly cooked tomato sauce. The toppings were perfectly balanced; neither too heavy or too sparse. I especially enjoyed the unique selection of specialty pies—the Mediterranean with feta cheese and pesto really hit the spot!

I must admit that I was skeptical, but from the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special. From the warm welcome of their staff to the cozy atmosphere and mouth-watering aromas, New York Pizza is an experience not to be missed!

The pizza itself was delicious, with a perfectly crisp crust and topped with a generous helping of fresh toppings. The sauce was flavorful and zesty, without being overpowering. And all that cheese! Gooey, melty goodness. It’s enough to make me swoon!

Overall, my experience at New York Pizza was superb and I’m proud to say they have some of the best pizza in Elk Grove. If you’re ever in town looking for a great slice of pie, look no further than New York Pizza!

From the moment I stepped into this bustling restaurant, I could tell that they had something special. The smells and aromas of freshly cooked pizza were enough to make me salivate before I’d even laid eyes on a menu.

The menu itself was truly impressive, and they had every kind of pizza imaginable! From classic Pepperoni to exotic Hawaiian, it seemed like there was something for everyone at Paesanos. After careful consideration (and some friendly advice from the owner), I selected their signature Sausage Supreme pizza.

Upon first bite, I knew why this place is so famous! The crust was thin but crispy, the sausage was perfectly seasoned and filled with flavor, and the cheese was absolutely divine. This pizza was easily one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted in my life!

The service at Paesanos was also outstanding; everyone from the wait staff to the chef made sure that my experience was top-notch. The owner even went out of his way to give me a few free slices as a thank you for visiting – how generous!

In conclusion, if you’re ever looking for some of the best pizza in Elk Grove, look no further than Paesanos. You won’t be disappointed!

#11 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

The first time I stopped in, I was immediately taken aback by the incredible atmosphere. The employees were so friendly and helpful, eager to share their knowledge about the pizzas they offer. I decided to try the Deluxe pizza and it did not disappoint! The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with just the right amount of topping ratio.

I’m still dreaming about those toppings; it seemed like every single one was bursting with flavor. From the pepperoni to the olives, each ingredient was fresh and full of taste. Not only that, but all of Papa Murphy’s pizzas are made with real cheese – none of that processed stuff you find at some other places.

Papa Murphy’s is also very reasonably priced compared to other pizza places in Elk Grove. Plus, they have an awesome carry-out service that lets you pick up your yummy creation without having to wait around! On top of all that, their signature garlic sauce is simply delicious – a must-have for anyone who loves good pizza.

#12 Mountain Mike’s Pizza

The restaurant is tucked away in a cozy shopping center. When we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The walls were covered in old-fashioned posters and the staff were super friendly.

The menu had an amazing selection of pizzas. Whether you’re looking for something classic like pepperoni or something more adventurous like Philly cheese steak, they’ve got it all! The crust was perfectly cooked and the toppings were just right. We opted for a large pizza with mushrooms, peppers, onions and sausage – it was delicious!

The pizza was one of the best I’ve ever tried. It had that crispy yet chewy texture that’s hard to find outside Italy. But what really set Mountain Mike’s apart is the sauce; it had just the right balance of sweetness and spice that really accentuated the flavors of the toppings.

I’d definitely recommend Mountain Mike’s Pizza to anyone looking for the best pizza in Elk Grove!
