I’ve been all over the world tasting pizza, from Naples to New York City to Tokyo. So believe me, I know a thing or two about what makes for a great slice! After sampling twelve different places in Fresno, I have some recommendations about the best pizza you can find in this city.

#1 Kam’s Pizza & Ice Cream

The menu has a great variety of toppings, sauces and crusts. The crust is especially impressive – crispy on the outside yet chewy inside, exactly as I like it! The sauce is flavorful and not too salty, while the variety of toppings almost make it hard to decide which one to go with (which is a good problem to have!).

Although the pizza is the star of the show (and definitely deserves five stars), this place offers more than just excellent pizza. Aside from a wide selection of ice cream flavors to choose from (you must try the Nutella Fudge Swirl!), they also have salads that are refreshingly light and tasty.

All in all, Kam’s Pizza & Ice Cream was an absolute delight! I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for some delicious pizza and ice cream in Fresno CA. You won’t be disappointed!

#2 Douggy Fresh Pizza

I arrived at the restaurant expecting just another mediocre pizza joint, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff was both friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, which is filled with tantalizing toppings and original recipes.

The pizza itself was simply outstanding! I’m usually an impatient eater, but this pizza was so delicious that I couldn’t help but savor each and every bite. Each slice was filled with generous layers of cheese, succulent meats, and fresh vegetables all cooked to perfection. I’d put it up there with some of the best pies in Italy and New York City!

Aside from their great pizza, Douggy Fresh Pizza also offers an impressive selection of salads, sides, and desserts. The garlic knots are especially tasty – they were definitely my favorite side dish! All in all, Douggy Fresh Pizza has earned its place as one of Fresno’s finest establishments for pizza-lovers! If you’re ever in town looking for a slice (or two!) of the best pizza around, be sure to pay them a visit!

#3 525 Pizza

I took my first bite and immediately noticed that the dough was light and fluffy. The sauce had a wonderful balance of sweetness and acidity, with just enough herbs to really bring it to life. The cheese was gooey and creamy, with a perfect ratio of ingredients that made every bite pure joy!

The toppings were generous and flavorful, with each one providing something unique yet complementing each other perfectly. The pepperoni was especially delicious – it had a nice kick without being overwhelming. I’m still dreaming about how good it tasted!

When I arrived I could already smell the heavenly aroma emanating from their kitchen. The staff were so friendly they made me feel like part of the family!

The pizzas here are huge and packed with flavor. Every bite was full of deliciousness and joy! My favorite was the Sausage Supreme, which had roasted bell peppers, pepperoni, and a special blend of spices that really set it apart from ordinary pizzas. The crust was just perfect – not too doughy nor too thin, but crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

And let’s not forget about the drinks! They have an amazing selection of both domestic and imported beers as well as freshly brewed ice teas and sodas. Their selection of wines is also top notch!

Overall, my experience at Boston House of Pizza was delightful. It’s definitely one of the best pizza places in Fresno CA – if not THE best – and I can’t wait to come back for more!

From the moment I stepped into their restaurant, I was surprised by how inviting the atmosphere was. From the decor to the smiling staff, it was clear that The Curry Pizza Company knows how to make their customers feel welcome.

The pizza itself was nothing short of amazing! Their selection is eclectic and features a variety of different styles. Whether you’re looking for traditional Italian-style pies or something more unique like a curry-based pizza, The Curry Pizza Company has a great variety of options that will please all palates.

The crust on each and every pie was cooked just right – light and crispy on the outside while still having enough pillowy breadiness in the middle. And their blend of toppings is always spot-on – balanced flavors that never overpower each other, ensuring a perfect bite with every slice.

And besides having some of the best pizza in Fresno CA, The Curry Pizza Company also serves up some truly unique dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. I especially recommend their signature dish; a pizza topped with curried vegetables! It’s unlike anything else you’ll find in town and is definitely worth a try.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, with fresh-baked garlic knots inviting you to come in and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the chef was always willing to answer any pizza-related questions I had.

I went for the Cheese lover’s pizza, which was packed with mozzarella and ricotta cheese – oh my! It was delicious and far exceeded my expectations. Every bite melted in my mouth, the perfect balance between sweet and salty. And with those golden brown edges that are essential when it comes to a quality pie, it was a pleasure eating this one up!

The toppings were also superb, featuring sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers and onions. Additionally, their selection of specialty pizzas is great for those who like something other than your typical cheese or pepperoni pie. From BBQ chicken to pesto veggie!

Bombay Pizza has definitely earned its spot as the best pizza in Fresno CA! Service is great too – not only do they offer delivery but they also offer online ordering if you’re in a rush or don’t feel like going out. #9 Sam’s Pizza

From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and inviting, reminding me of the great neighborhood pizzerias I’ve been to back home.

The pizza itself was second to none. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy; it had just the right amount of crunch on the outside with a light, fluffy interior. The sauce had a hint of sweetness that melded well with the savory cheese and flavorful toppings. One bite and my taste buds exploded with flavor!

The service at Sam’s Pizza was also top-notch. They were quick to take my order and even quicker to get it out to me. They made sure that everything arrived at its freshest, hot out of the oven.

#10 Premo Pizza

I’ve never been so impressed with a pizza restaurant in my life. From the moment I stepped in, it felt like I had been transported to a true Italian pizzeria. The warm and inviting atmosphere, mixed with the smells of fresh baked dough and melted cheese, truly made it feel like a special experience.

The pizza itself was out of this world! The dough was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Every bite was full of flavor and texture – the tomato sauce fragrant and flavorful, combined with just enough cheese. Topping options included all sorts of classic favorites such as pepperoni and sausage as well as more unconventional toppings such as roasted peppers and artichokes which really set Premo Pizza apart from other places I’ve tried.

Service was outstanding as well – each staff member went above and beyond to make sure I had a fantastic experience. Prices were totally reasonable too – even for me being a traveling food critic! All in all, Premo Pizza is definitely one of the best pizzerias I’ve visited – hands down.

#11 Mike’s Pizzeria Lounge

On my recent visit, I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a lively atmosphere that made it the perfect spot for a night out.

The pizza itself was a true masterpiece. The hand-tossed crust was perfectly cooked, just the right amount of crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy in the center. The freshly made sauce had robust flavor that complimented the cheese and toppings just right.

The staff at Mike’s Pizzeria Lounge also deserves special attention for their superb service. They were attentive to all of my requests, making sure each slice of pizza was as perfect as can be.

Overall, I have to say that Mike’s Pizzeria Lounge is arguably the best pizza place in Fresno CA! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding experience filled with delicious food and great customer service.

#12 Game Time Pizza Palace

I found this hidden gem of a pizzeria tucked away in a small corner of the city, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment you walk in the door, you know that this place has something special. The welcoming atmosphere and rustic decor set the tone for what’s to come: delicious pizza!

The menu is surprisingly extensive for such a small place, with nearly every topping imaginable. They even offer vegan and gluten-free options. As a vegetarian myself, I was pleasantly surprised that their veggie pizzas were not only tasty but filling too.

The best part about Game Time Pizza Palace is easily the pizza itself. The thin crust is perfectly crispy and flavorful, while every topping had that perfect balance of freshness and flavor. And if you’re looking for something spicier, they’ve got plenty of hot sauce selections to choose from!

Best Thin Crust Pizza – Javence Pizzeria

Now, before I jump into the nitty-gritty, let me warn you about a couple of downsides. Firstly, Javence does not offer delivery. So unless you have an extreme desire to play real-life Mario Kart with your pizza, you’ll have to go there in person. Secondly, if you’re planning a big pizza party with your friends, forget about making reservations. It’s first-come, first-served at Javence. So be prepared to beg, bribe, or even resort to ninja tactics to secure a table.

But let’s talk about the pizza itself. Oh boy, I’ve had thin crust pizza all over the world, and Javence truly hits the mark. The crust is so thin, it’s like eating a delicious pizza frisbee. The crunch you get with each bite is truly divine. My dentist may not be a fan, but my taste buds sure are.

The toppings options at Javence are nothing short of creative. From classic margherita to funky combinations like BBQ chicken with pineapple, they’ve got you covered. Their cheese is meltier than that I Love You scene in The Notebook—I mean seriously, it takes some serious skill to achieve that level of gooiness.

Now, if you’re looking for an elegant dining experience, you may want to sit this one out. Javence Pizzeria is the kind of place where you can let your freak flag fly. Grab a slice, kick back, and enjoy the casual, laid-back atmosphere. Just be prepared for plenty of laughter, questionable dance moves, and the occasional impromptu pizza crust juggling act from the staff.

All in all, if you can stomach the lack of delivery and lack of reservations, Javence Pizzeria is a must-visit for any pizza aficionado in Fresno.
