#1 Angelos Pizza
As soon as I stepped in the restaurant, I knew this was an excellent spot for a food critic like me. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, with dark walls and dim lighting that made the perfect ambiance for a pizza crawl.
The menu was extensive and full of choices. From classic pepperoni to one-of-a-kind creations, they had something that would please everyone’s palette. The crust was thin and crispy – obviously crafted with care – and their cheese had a perfect balance of flavor and texture.
I just couldn’t get enough of their artichoke pizza! The flavors were bold yet subtle, the ingredients perfectly seasoned, and the presentation on point. It was clear that each pie had been made with love by a truly passionate team of chefs.
After devouring three slices of pizza – enough to give me a true critique – I can confidently say Angelos Pizza has some of the best pizza in Harvard Square. Everything from their attention to detail in cooking to providing an inviting environment makes it well worth visiting again (and again).

I’ve sampled pizza from Italy, to Shanghai, and everywhere in between. Half-Shell has the same authentic Italian flavor of the pizzerias I visited abroad.
The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming- it’s perfect for a night out on the town or a casual lunch with friends.
And of course, there’s nothing like the convenience of delivery when you don’t feel like going out! The delivery was fast and accurate.
The menu features something for everyone, whether you’re vegan or living a gluten-free lifestyle. What really sets Half-Shell apart is their signature sauces and high-end ingredients like pancetta and gorgonzola cheese.
They also have plenty of interesting specialty pizzas in addition to their classic pies. My personal favorite is their Margherita Pie topped with fresh tomatoes, covered in gooey mozzarella cheese and finished off with fragrant basil leaves. Yum!
