The first time I went there, I had their signature “Hilo Slice”. It was a tasty thin-crust pizza with a tomato sauce so flavorful it was like it was freshly made in the garden. The toppings were generous and the cheesy goodness combined with that perfect tangy sauce made this slice one of the best I’ve ever tasted!
The next time I visited Scicchitano’s, I decided to try their deep dish. Wow – talk about a treat! The crust was thick, flaky and buttery, while the toppings were plentiful and delicious. The cheese practically melted in my mouth and the mix of flavors was sublime.
The staff at Scicchitano’s Pizzeria is also very nice and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant and each order comes out hot and fresh. All in all, this place definitely lives up to its reputation as having some of the best pizza in Hilo!

The toppings were fresh, flavorful, and well-distributed throughout the pizza. Everything from pepperoni to onions and mushrooms were represented perfectly in each bite. And even with all those toppings, there seemed to be just the right amount on each slice so as not to overpower any flavors.
In addition to great pizza, Little Caesars also offered an amazing selection of sides and desserts. Their garlic bread was especially good – it melted in your mouth! Plus, their famous Caesar salad is always a hit and the tiramisu dessert was definitely worth saving room for.
