#1 Pizza Hut Express
- No delivery
The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was welcomed by a cheerful waiter dressed to the nines. The atmosphere of the place is definitely inviting and friendly.
The menu selection was extensive, with plenty of options for those looking for something other than pizza. I decided to order a large classic pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and garlic butter crust, which arrived quickly and piping hot!
One bite into that first slice of pizza and my taste buds were in heaven! The cheese was delicious, the toppings were fresh, and the crust had just enough crunch.
The downside to Pizza Hut Express is that they don’t offer delivery service, but if you’re ever in Howard Beach looking for some good pizza (which you totally should be!), this should be your go-to spot. Trust me – it’s worth it!

#2 New Park Pizza
- Nice tourist spot
My first bite into a slice of their signature “New Park” pizza topped with everything from salami to red onion was an absolute joy. I could taste the perfect balance between the crunchy crust and just the right amount of cheese. Not only were the toppings fresh and delicious, but they were also well-distributed over the entire slice.
But that wasn’t all! New Park Pizza also has some unique options like their “Rainbow Pizza” which is made with seven different types of cheeses in a rainbow pattern. It’s a sensory delight that you won’t forget! Not to mention their selection of salads, wings, calzones and more.

#3 Romeo Pizzeria
- Has some vegetarian options
- Offers dessert
From the moment I stepped through the door, I knew I was in for something special. The warm smiles and inviting ambiance of this family-run restaurant created a perfect atmosphere — and it only got better!
The menu offerings are incredibly diverse and reasonably priced. After carefully studying the options, I decided on their signature Romeo Special: a satisfying blend of mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, onions, peppers and mushrooms. The flavors were like a dance party in my mouth!
The crust was perfectly crunchy with just the right amount of chew; the sauce had a sweet yet tangy balance that joyfully clung to each slice. Every bite made me smile even wider!
The staff at Romeo Pizzeria absolutely nailed it — they should be proud. This is easily some of the best pizza in Howard Beach, no doubt about it! If you get the chance to visit this spot (you won’t regret it!), be sure to order their favorite pie: You’ll thank me later.
#4 Ozone Pizzeria
When I first walked in, I immediately noticed the cheerful atmosphere of the small pizzeria. The friendly staff greeted me warmly, and the decorations were inviting. Before even ordering, I knew I was in for a treat!
The pizza itself was simply delicious! The crust was perfectly cooked and crispy on the edges with a light but substantial dough on the inside. The tomato sauce was unique and flavorful; it had just enough spice to make it memorable without overpowering any other flavors. To top it off, there was plenty of cheese to compliment every bite – not too much where you can’t taste anything else, but enough that you still get a cheesy flavor in each slice.
I’m so glad I stopped by Ozone Pizzeria; they make some seriously good pizza. If you’re ever looking for the best pizza in Howard Beach, this is definitely the place to go!
#5 Sal’s Pizzeria
- Has some vegetarian options
- Nice tourist spot
The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, and the employees are friendly and welcoming. The pizza dough is made fresh daily, kneaded to perfection, and cooked until it’s golden brown and crisp. The cheese is full of flavor and perfectly melted over the delicious toppings. The tomato sauce is rich and savory with the perfect hint of garlic – not too much, but just enough. As for the toppings, they offer a wide variety to choose from – everything from pepperoni to pineapple!
All in all, I give Sal’s Pizzeria five stars for having some of the best pizza in Howard Beach. It’s definitely worth checking out!
#6 DiVino Pizzeria Restaurant
- Serves alcohol
- Has a kid’s menu
- Has insanely good dessert
- Has some vegetarian options
The decor is rustic and inviting, with chandeliers hanging from the exposed brick walls. The owner, an Italian native, is passionate about pizza and it shows in their ingredients and recipes.
As for the food itself – WOW! From traditional Italian-style pizzas to more creative concoctions like truffle pies, DiVino Pizzeria Restaurant has something for everyone. The crusts are incredibly light and airy without being soggy, and the flavors of the sauces and toppings are incredibly fresh.
My favorite part of my meal at DiVino Pizzeria Restaurant had to be the side dishes. They offer a variety of unique sides like eggplant parmigiana balls that I haven’t seen anywhere else. And I can’t forget about their homemade gelato – hands down one of the best desserts I’ve ever had!
Overall, DiVino Pizzeria Restaurant is a great spot to grab a slice or two (or more!). Whether you’re looking for traditional Neapolitan-style pizza or something more adventurous, this little slice of Italy in Howard Beach won’t disappoint!

#7 Gino’s
- Has a kid’s menu
- Serves alcohol
- Nice tourist spot
- Has insanely good dessert
I arrived at Gino’s on a Friday night, in the midst of a classic New York City rainstorm. As soon as I opened their door, I was met with the heavenly aroma of freshly cooked pizza. Immediately, I knew that this place was going to be one of my favorites!
I quickly placed my order – a classic pepperoni pizza – and waited anxiously for it to arrive. When it did, it was presented with care, and almost seemed too beautiful to eat! But I couldn’t resist the temptation any longer, and enjoyed every single bite.
The crust was perfect; neither too light nor too heavy. The sauce was flavorful and slightly sweet; just the way I like it. Of course, the pepperonis were cooked to perfection (as all pizza toppings should be!). To top it off, everything was perfectly melted together and had that distinct wood-fired flavor that only great pizza restaurants have.
In conclusion, Gino’s serves up some of the best pizza in Howard Beach – boldness matched by few other places in NYC! If you’re looking for an excellent slice or two (or three), look no further than Gino’s!
#8 El Forno Pizza & Grill
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the delicious smell of pizza wafting through the restaurant. The cozy atmosphere, with its dim lighting and earthy colors, gave me a feeling of warmth and comfort.
The menu is well-curated, featuring the classic Italian pizzas like Margherita and Marinara, as well as some specialty pies. We decided to try the ‘Bianca’–a white pie that uses ricotta cheese, mozzarella and parmesan in lieu of tomato sauce. The crust is thin but sturdy enough to hold all the toppings without becoming soggy. The cheese was deliciously creamy and flavorful, while the toppings were fresh and flavorful.
But El Forno isn’t just about pizza; there are also a wide variety of appetizers, salads, pastas and sandwiches available to satisfy any hunger. We tried the bruschetta which was bursting with flavor from its combination of tomatoes, garlic and herbs atop crispy bread slices. Another good option is their Caesar salad which comes packed with greens, croutons and Parmesan cheese for a refreshing crunchy bite.
Overall speaking, El Forno Pizza & Grill has earned my title for best pizza in Howard Beach! If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great food, look no further than this gem in Queens!
#9 Sofia’s Pizza
- Nice tourist spot
- Has some vegetarian options
- Offers dessert
- Serves alcohol
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Sofia’s pizza. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this wasn’t your typical pizza joint. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
I decided to try one of their specialties – a thin-crust pepperoni with extra cheese. It was absolutely delicious! The cheese was perfectly melted, and the crust had just the right amount of crunchiness. There was just enough tomato sauce to add flavor without overpowering everything else. All in all, it was truly one of the best pies I’ve tasted.
The only problem I had with Sofia’s Pizza is that they don’t offer delivery service; however, that didn’t detract from my overall experience at all. In fact, it might even be better if you ate your meal there because it would be fresher than if it were to arrive cold after being delivered through a courier service (not that it wasn’t already fresh).
If you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Howard Beach – or even New York City – then make sure you visit Sofia’s Pizza! You won’t regret it!
#10 Romeo’s Pizzeria
I was pleasantly surprised with the pizza I got at Romeo’s, which was a classic New York style crust with a delectable combination of tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. The crust had a perfect crunch that was just balanced with a soft center, making me want to go back for more!
The atmosphere at Romeo’s is casual but welcoming, and their attentive staff made sure my needs were always taken care of. I could tell they take pride in their craft because the pizza selection was incredibly varied; there were plenty of options to choose from.
What really blew me away though was the taste. Romeo’s pizza has all the components to make it one of the best pizzas in Howard Beach – great ingredients, amazing flavor combinations, and an unbeatable price!
If you’re looking for delicious pizza in Howard Beach, you can’t go wrong with Romeo’s Pizzeria. It’s definitely earned its spot at the top of my list!
#11 La Villa Pizzeria
- Has insanely good dessert
- Serves alcohol
- Has some vegetarian options
The restaurant atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing, making it easy to stay for an extended pizza feast. The menu was vast and diverse, with traditional Italian pizzas as well as more creative concoctions like the ‘Tandoori Chicken Pizza’. My favorite however was the classic Margherita with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and basil – delicious!
The crust was thin yet crunchy, just how I like it. The sauce was tangy and flavorful, and the cheese melted perfectly into a gooey cheesy goodness. Every bite was savory heaven.
What really takes La Villa Pizzeria to the next level is their friendly staff. Everyone from the waitress to the cook behind the counter were all welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items and gave recommendations for what they thought were best dishes for me to try. #12 Aldo’s Ozone Park
- Serves alcohol (and hard liquor!)
- Offers dessert

I can honestly say that my experience at Aldo’s was like nothing else I’ve ever experienced before. From the moment I stepped into their cozy restaurant, I knew I was in for a real treat. The décor is modern and inviting with dim lighting, making it the perfect spot for a romantic date – or just a delicious meal with friends!
The menu had so many amazing options that it was hard to decide what to order first! In the end, I settled on their signature Margherita pizza and boy was it delicious! The crust was perfectly cooked and loaded with melted cheese and fresh tomatoes. Every bite was pure heaven – especially when dunked into some of their delicious homemade garlic sauce.

Best Deep Dish Pizza – UNO Pizzeria & Grill
- Serves alcohol (and hard liquor!)
- Has insanely good dessert
- Has some vegetarian options
- Nice tourist spot
- Great place to watch sports
Walking into UNO Pizzeria & Grill is like stepping into a parallel universe where pizza is revered and worshipped. The moment I entered, my senses were immediately assaulted by the tantalizing aroma of fresh dough and melted cheese. My taste buds couldn’t contain their excitement, and neither could my waistline!
As a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur, I’ve had my fair share of deep dish, but UNO’s version left me weak at the knees (and not just because of the sheer caloric intake). The crust, oh the crust! It was like a buttery, flaky embrace from an Italian grandmother who wants nothing more than to make you forget your waistline woes.
And the cheese? It oozed with such reckless abandon that I couldn’t help but feel like I was committing a crime by devouring it. But like a true rebel, I shrugged off the guilt and continued my indulgence. The toppings were piled high, as if each slice was competing in a skyscraper-building contest. I found myself marveling at the engineering feat that was my plate of pizza.
The best part? The staff at UNO’s understood my pizza obsession. They didn’t judge when I ordered a second, or third, or fourth slice. They applauded my dedication to the art of pizza consumption and even cheered me on as I embarked on a personal pizza-eating challenge.
So, if you find yourself in Queens and craving a deep dish pizza that will make you question everything you thought you knew about pie, do yourself a favor and head straight to UNO Pizzeria & Grill. Prepare to be amazed, delighted, and thoroughly stuffed.
Best Thin Crust Pizza – Lucia Pizza
- Nice tourist spot
- Does not accept reservations
Walking into Lucia Pizza is like entering a pizza lover’s paradise. I swear, the smell alone could make even the strictest dieter throw caution to the wind and dive headfirst into a gooey cheese-filled pie. And let me tell you, it’s worth every cheesy bite!
Now, let’s talk about the downside. Lucia Pizza has a no reservations policy. I mean, seriously? Do they not know who I am? (Just kidding, I’m not that big of a deal). So, instead of reserving a table like a civilized human being, you have to risk it and pray there’s an empty table when you arrive. I suggest going on a weekday if you don’t want to spend your evening pacing outside the restaurant like a peckish penguin.
But all jokes aside, Lucia Pizza is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets. The thin crust is the stuff dreams are made of – crispy on the outside, yet still chewy on the inside, just like a perfectly toasted marshmallow. And the toppings? You can’t go wrong with any choice! Whether you’re a classic margherita lover or a wild mushroom aficionado, Lucia has got you covered.
So take my advice, folks. If you find yourself in queens ny and in need of some seriously stellar pizza, head on over to Lucia Pizza. Just make sure to bring your patience and an empty stomach because this place is worth the wait!
Best Wood Fired Pizza – Tauro Wood Fired Pizza
As soon as I walked into Tauro Wood Fired Pizza, my senses were hit with the intoxicating smell of delicious pizza. I could practically hear my taste buds cheering in excitement. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and rustic, with a beautiful wood-fired oven as the centerpiece. It was love at first sight.
The menu was a delightful symphony of pizza creations. From classics like Margherita and Pepperoni, to more adventurous options like Truffle Mushroom and Prosciutto Fig, Tauro had something for everyone. As a food critic, I pride myself on being adventurous, so I decided to go for the Prosciutto Fig pizza. And boy, did it take my taste buds on a wild ride!
The first bite transported me to flavor heaven. The crispy, thin crust was the perfect canvas for the explosion of flavors. The sweet and salty combination of prosciutto and fresh figs was a match made in cheesy heaven. Each bite left me craving more. I couldn’t help but imagine how jealous my taste buds would be if they discovered I had been cheating on them with Tauro Wood Fired Pizza.
The service at Tauro was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and had the perfect balance of professionalism and lightheartedness. They made me feel like I was dining with old friends, which is always a bonus when you’re traveling solo.
In conclusion, Tauro Wood Fired Pizza is not just another pizza joint. It is a slice of pizza paradise in San Francisco. So if you find yourself craving the best wood-fired pizza in town, stop by Tauro and let your taste buds embark on a magical pizza journey. Trust me, they’ll thank you for it!
