After having sampled pizza all over the world, I’m excited to present my review of the best pizza places here in Kalamazoo! I visited a dozen local spots to try out their pies and am now ready to share with you which ones are worth a visit.

When I walked in, the smells of freshly baked crust and melted mozzarella wafted through the air and I could hardly contain my excitement. A friendly server welcomed me with a smile and led me to a cozy table.

I ordered the deep dish pizza with pepperoni and olives, which was cooked to perfection in their wood-fired oven. The first thing I noticed upon entering was the wonderful atmosphere. It felt cozy and inviting, with a hint of Italian decor that helped to create an inviting atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and they made sure to take the time to explain the menu and make sure my order was exactly as I wanted it.

When it came to the pizza itself, I could tell by looking at it that this was going to be a treat. The crust was perfectly cooked and had a nice crispness to it that made every bite enjoyable. The cheese was soft but still had lots of flavor, and each topping seemed fresh and carefully chosen.

#4 Kazoopy’s Pizza & Grinders Westwood

I was met with a warm welcome the second I stepped into the joint and was taken aback by the unique furniture and decor. It’s like a pizza-themed amusement park in there! The employees were friendly and helpful, too – taking the time to explain their popular dishes and specialties.

The food? Spectacular! From the crunchy, handmade crusts to their freshly-grated cheese, you can taste how much care goes into each and every pizza. And, I have to say that the Grinders were divine – freshly made with plenty of delicious fillings like sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives and more.

The best part of my experience at Kazoopy’s Pizza & Grinders Westwood may have been when I bit into their signature specialty pie: The Kalamazoo Battle Axe. This is hands-down the best pizza in Kalamazoo! It features an inventive blend of over a dozen ingredients that just comes together perfectly on top of a perfectly crispy crust – it’s definitely worth a try if you’re ever in town!

Overall, my experience at Kazoopy’s Pizza & Grinders Westwood was nothing short of amazing! It was one of those rare finds that really blew my socks off. If you’re ever in Kalamazoo looking for great pizza, this place is not to be missed!

#5 Benny DiCarta’s

The first thing I noticed about Benny DiCarta’s was the atmosphere–it was warm and inviting, just like a pizza joint should be. The staff was friendly and attentive to my every need. They even offered to help me choose my toppings!

The pizza itself at Benny DiCarta’s was amazing–a perfect balance between crunchy crust and cheesy goodness. Every bite was packed with flavor and had me wanting more. There was also a massive selection of toppings available, so I could really customize my pizza how I wanted!

To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable for such a great tasting product. Their delivery option is also fast and reliable, making it easy to get your pizza no matter where you are in Kalamazoo.

Overall, I would highly recommend Benny DiCarta’s as the best place to get pizza in Kalamazoo. The quality of their food and the excellent service they provide make them the number one destination for all my pizza cravings!

#6 Maestro’s Pizza

The service was great and the staff was incredibly good-natured and hospitable. When they brought out a slice of their classic pepperoni pizza, my mouth was instantly watering. The crust was perfectly light and crispy, but still had a nice chewiness to it. The cheese was delicious and truly melted in my mouth. All of the toppings were fresh, flavorful, and plentiful.

I couldn’t believe how amazing the pizza tasted until I tried their freshly made garlic knots! These little bundles of joy were perfectly crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside. They were generously sprinkled with coarsely grated Parmesan cheese and lots of fragrant herbs. My taste buds have never been so pleased!

Overall, Maestro’s Pizza proved to be one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in Kalamazoo. The atmosphere is inviting, the staff is friendly, and most importantly, the food is outstanding! The crust is amazingly light and fluffy, with just the right amount of crunchy crispiness. The toppings are always plentiful and fresh, never leaving you wanting for more. And the sauce? It’s always perfect – not too sweet and not too salty.

The atmosphere inside MOD Pizza is definitely welcoming to everyone; it’s vibrant and lively but still cozy. Plus, their staff is always friendly and helpful when it comes to helping you choose all the right fixin’s for your dream pizza.

#8 Blaze Pizza

The atmosphere is laid back, and the staff is friendly. The pizza is made from scratch with fresh ingredients that are locally sourced. I had the classic pepperoni and it was delicious! Just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings – definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.

The portions are generous, too. You really get your money’s worth here. I also tried their unique Mediterranean pizza, which was flavorful and full of fresh vegetables. Even better, they have vegan options available too!

Overall, Blaze Pizza is a great choice for anyone looking for delicious pizza in Kalamazoo. I’d highly recommend it to foodies seeking out the best pizza around. Their fast service and tasty pies make this place one of my favorites!

#9 Erbelli’s Gourmet Pizzeria, Italian Bistro & Pub

When I walked into the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was the cozy atmosphere. It was like a little piece of Italy in Kalamazoo! The staff were friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in.

The menu was varied but with a focus on pizza, which I love. They had some creative pizza combinations that made my mouth water, including a Hawaiian-style pizza with pineapple and Canadian bacon (my favorite). The pizza dough was freshly made and topped with tantalizing toppings. My friends who accompanied me also loved their pizzas – especially the classic pepperoni, which they declared to be some of the best they have ever tasted!

The pasta dishes were delicious too – full of flavor with just the right amount of spices to give them an extra kick. The garlic bread was crispy on the outside and deliciously soft inside – it went perfectly with our meal!

To top it all off, Erbelli’s has one of the best beer selections in town. We sampled several different varieties that paired perfectly with our pizzas.

Overall, I highly recommend Erbelli’s Gourmet Pizzeria, Italian Bistro & Pub if you’re looking for the best pizza in Kalamazoo or just want to enjoy a great meal in a cozy atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed!

#10 Martini’s Kzoo

On my last trip, I stopped in to sample the pizza and boy was I pleasantly surprised! Not only does Martini’s serve up delicious traditional pizzas, like pepperoni and cheese, but they also offer vegetarian options.

Plus, for those looking for something even more special to complete their meal, Martini’s also serves dessert! As a bonus, this restaurant is also a great spot for tourists – they even serve hard liquor!

The atmosphere was pleasant, the waitstaff were friendly and helpful and the food – oh wow! The pizza crust was light and fluffy without being too crunchy or burnt. The toppings were fresh and melted together perfectly – it certainly tasted like it had been crafted with care.

My only complaint about Martini’s Kzoo is that there is no delivery service. However, if you’re willing to take a drive out to Kalamazoo you won’t regret it! All in all, Martini’s Kzoo stands out from the competition as one of the best places to get a slice of pizza around here.

#11 Godfather’s Pizza

From the delicious crispy crust to the rich tomato sauce, every part of the pizza is perfectly crafted. I especially loved the selection of toppings that ranged from traditional pepperoni and cheese to more exotic choices like pineapple and jalapeños.

The service was also great at this restaurant. The friendly staff provided me with a pleasant dining experience. Plus, they truly understand the importance of fresh ingredients – you can really taste it in the finished product!

To top it off, Godfather’s Pizza offers an awesome selection of beers and wines that pair perfectly with their pizza creations. And don’t forget about their Tuesday special – $2 off any pizza!

My only complaint? It was too hard to decide which one to order! All in all, Godfather’s Pizza is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for some of the best pizza in Kalamazoo.

#12 Jet’s Pizza

I recently had the pleasure of trying Jet’s Pizza for the first time and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! From the moment I stepped inside I could tell this place was special. The atmosphere immediately put me in a good mood and the service was amazing.
