I’m not a “local” by any stretch of the imagination, but what I lack in familiarity I make up for with experience. After eating pizza all over the world, I think I can confidently say that Lafayette CO has some great pizza places.

#1 MOD Pizza

The first thing that struck me upon entering the store was the really cool decor. The walls were adorned with posters of classic movies and iconic figures from popular culture. I immediately felt comfortable in the inviting atmosphere of the place.

I ordered a custom pizza topped with pepperoni, bell peppers, and mushrooms – typical but always delicious toppings for a great pizza! After about 10 minutes, my order was ready – and it looked amazing! The crust was light and had just enough crunch; the sauce was tangy and flavorful; my toppings added an explosion of taste to this already tasty pizza.

I have to say that MOD Pizza’s pizza is some of the best I have ever had. The experience I had there definitely makes them one of the best pizza places in Lafayette CO. From their fun decor to their quality ingredients, MOD Pizza has definitely earned its spot as one of my top go-to spots when looking for amazing pizza!

#2 Infinitus Pizza PIE (iPIE)

I decided to visit iPIE while on my latest food adventure, and I was instantly impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were extremely welcoming.

As for the pizza itself? Delicious! With a wide variety of topping combinations, there’s something to suit everyone’s palate. But I highly recommend the signature Infinitus Supreme – it’s truly out of this world! The crust is cheesy and crunchy with a hint of smoky flavor, while the toppings are fresh and flavorful.

My experience at iPIE was nothing short of amazing. From the friendly service to the mouthwatering pizza, it really is one of the best pizza joints in Lafayette CO – trust me, I’ve had my fair share of pies from around the globe!

#3 Proto’s Pizza | Lafayette

The first thing I noticed when walking in was how great the atmosphere was. With alcoholic beverages, including hard liquor, it’s no wonder so many people are drawn to this place! They also have some vegetarian-friendly options, and a variety of desserts available.

The pizza itself is unbelievable – they took the classic recipe, and made it even better. The crust was light and fluffy, but still held up the toppings perfectly. All their flavors are rich and complex, balancing out the sweetness of the sauce and cheese.

My only issue with Proto’s Pizza | Lafayette is that they don’t offer delivery services. Although this may be inconvenient for those who can’t take time off to drive there, dining in will not disappoint – because at Proto’s Pizza | Lafayette, your taste buds will thank you.

#4 Rosati’s Pizza

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was smitten. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy – perfect for anyone looking for a great spot to try some delicious pizza. The aroma of fresh-baked dough, cheese, and topping coming from their kitchen made my mouth water.

I opted to try their signature Rosati’s Special Pie. Let me tell you – this pizza is something special. It’s not just your average cheese and pepperoni offering! The crust was light, fluffy and cooked to perfection – while the toppings were flavorful and tasty. From the first bite, I knew that this pizza was something special.

The sauce is also something worth mentioning – It had just the right amount of sweetness and seasoning that complimented the other ingredients in such a way that it really elevated the overall flavor of the pizza experience!

All in all, I can confidently say that Rosati’s Pizza serves some of the best pizza in Lafayette CO – hands down. If you’re ever in town looking for great tasting pie, look no further than Rosati’s Pizza – you won’t be disappointed!

#5 Lucky Pie Pizza & Taphouse

From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a great selection of beers on tap and a classic pizza joint feel.

The menu had something for everyone: from classic cheese pizzas to specialty pies with delicious toppings. All of the ingredients were fresh and high-quality, making it easy to see why people rave about the pizza here.

The pizza itself was simply amazing. The crust was crispy but not too thick, and cooked perfectly. It held up nicely under the generous amount of cheese that topped each slice. The combination of flavors in each bite was incredible – salty, savory, cheesy goodness!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a slice at this amazing pizza joint and I must say – it was out of this world! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with an inviting atmosphere filled with delicious aromas. The pizza itself was cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of tangy tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. Their “Works” special is especially noteworthy – loaded with pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms and even olives if you dare! And for those looking for a lighter option, their veggie pizza is also quite delicious.

My experience at Shopey’s Pizza was truly top notch. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure my order was prepared to my exact specifications before sending it over to my table. I enjoyed every bite – it really felt like I was tasting some of the best pizza in Lafayette CO!

#7 Gastronauts at Gravity Brewing

The atmosphere was fantastic – the seating is comfortable and there’s a great selection of craft beer. That made me feel right at home after my long travels. They also had some good vegetarian options, which I appreciated – traveling with a vegan can be tricky!

Now let’s talk about the pizza: It was just as good as any I’ve ever had in Italy or elsewhere. The toppings were fresh, the cheese was well-balanced with the sauce, and the crust was light yet crunchy. Very satisfying!

My only complaint was that they don’t offer delivery – but that’s really nothing to hold against them since it isn’t a standard feature for most restaurants.

#8 Martino’s Pizzeria

From the moment I stepped into Martino’s, I knew that this place was special. The cheerful atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The smell of freshly-made pizza wafted through the air, making my mouth water in anticipation.

The pizza itself is a joy to behold! Every bite melts in your mouth like butter, and the perfect ratio of cheese, sauce and dough combine to create a truly magical experience. The crust is crispy and chewy at the same time, while the fresh toppings add texture and flavor. You can tell that no shortcuts were taken in its preparation – Martino’s definitely takes their pizza seriously!

I can confidently say that Martino’s Pizzeria serves up some of the best pizza in Lafayette CO. If you’re ever in town, make sure you visit this gem for a delicious slice!

#9 Ghost Box Pizza

I visited the charming brick building nestled in the heart of Lafayette and was instantly impressed. Not only is the atmosphere inviting, but you can even get a drink! They have a full bar, so you can enjoy hard liquor for an adult twist on a classic pizza night.

For those with kiddos, there’s a great kid’s menu that is sure to satisfy young pizza-lovers’ cravings. And don’t worry – vegetarians have plenty of delicious options too!

Once we were stuffed with our slice (or two!), everyone wanted dessert. Ghost Box Pizza happily obliged – it has some great desserts that satisfied our sweet tooth! Plus, it’s a great spot to catch up on sports games while noshing on pizza.

The only downside I found was there wasn’t any delivery – but since it’s such a small place, I’m sure you’ll find something worth leaving your house for! In all seriousness, if you’re looking for the best pizza in Lafayette CO, put Ghost Box Pizza at the top of your list.

#10 Echo Brewing and Pizzeria

I was first drawn in by the unique interior design; I felt like I had stepped into an artisanal pizzeria in Europe. The combination of exposed brick and industrial-chic accents created a cozy yet modern atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

I decided to try a classic Margherita pizza, since this is usually a good indicator of quality. I was not disappointed! The crust was perfectly charred and light, with just the right amount of chewiness. The tomato sauce tasted subtly sweet and intensely flavorful, while the mozzarella cheese melted into smooth, creamy goodness. Finally, the basil added a burst of freshness that really brought everything together.

#11 Cosmo’s Pizza

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with old Italian murals and music playing from the old-fashioned jukebox. It’s like I’m stepping back in time, which I really appreciate! The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, so it’s a great place to just relax and hang out.

But now onto the pizza – wow! It’s crispy, cheesy perfection. The crust is thin but with enough bite to it that you can tell it was freshly made with quality ingredients. Every topping option they offer is delicious, but my favorites are the bacon & parmesan combo and the classic margherita.

It’s also worth noting that their slices are less expensive than other pizza places in town, so you can get more for your buck. Plus, there are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too.

#12 Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

I had heard good things about Papa Murphy’s from friends, so I figured it was worth a try. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was surprised to find that instead of eating in-house, you actually take the pizzas home to bake them yourself. It was an interesting concept, and one I had never encountered before!

To put it simply: their pizza is delicious. The crust was cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of crispiness. And the toppings were fresh and flavorful – no skimping here! From classic pepperoni to their ‘Signature’ Pizza which changes weekly (it included feta cheese and artichoke hearts this week!), there’s something for everyone’s taste.

Bonus points go out to Papa Murphy’s for taking safety precautions during COVID-19 – they enforce mask-wearing and social distancing in their stores, which makes me feel much more comfortable when picking up our pizza.

Overall, Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza has earned my seal of approval as the best pizza restaurant in Lafayette CO!
