The restaurant itself is less than luxurious. Let’s just say it has a certain charm about it (albeit a dusty, outdated one). But you don’t go to Lino’s for ambiance; you go there for the pizza. And let me tell you, what they make is nothing short of excellence.
The crust is always perfectly cooked — every time. Not too thin, not too thick — but that perfect balance that all great pizzas have. The toppings are also something to talk about; they use only the freshest ingredients and the flavor combinations are truly incredible!

#3 Aiello’s of Brooklyn

- Has some vegetarian options
I’m all about the classic New York-style pizza, and Aiello’s has it down to a science. From their traditional Sicilian slices to their more creative concoctions like the Cauliflower Parmigiana slice, there’s something for everyone here.
The crust is always perfectly thin and crunchy, with just the right amount of sauce and cheese that melts in your mouth. The toppings are always fresh and flavorful too. My personal favorite is the Eggplant Rollatini – its combination of eggplant and ricotta cheese is truly heavenly.
The service at Aiello’s is top-notch too; despite the crowds the staff never seems rushed or flustered. They always get our orders right, even when we make crazy requests! And they’re so friendly and welcoming; it feels like a family dinner every time I visit.
In my years of eating pizza around the world, I’ve tasted some amazing slices but none compare to Aiello’s – they have some of the best pizza in Monmouth County. If you want an amazing slice of pizza with fantastic service and a welcoming atmosphere, Aiello’s is where it’s at!

- Has a kid’s menu
From the moment I stepped in, I was immediately welcomed by the inviting smell of delicious pizza cooking in their ovens. The employees were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
I ordered a classic Margherita slice and it didn’t disappoint! The pizza was cooked perfectly, with a crispy crust along the edges, and a soft center that held all the toppings – tomatoes, mozzarella and basil – together perfectly. The flavor was remarkably balanced, with just enough tang from the tomatoes to give it that extra kick!
I wasn’t done yet though! After my slice, I decided to order a whole pie for takeaway. I opted for the Pepperoni Pizza with extra garlic sauce and let me tell you – it was amazing! Every single bite had bursts of flavor that left me wanting more. On top of all this, they also offer vegan options if that’s what you’re into!
Zoni’s Brooklyn Brick Coal Oven Pizzeria is truly one of the best pizzerias in Monmouth County. Whether you’re looking for dine-in or take away pizza, they have something to please everyone’s taste buds. So go ahead and check them out – you won’t regret it!

#11 Nunzio’s Pizzeria
- Nice tourist spot
- Offers dessert
I arrived at the restaurant and was immediately impressed by the warm atmosphere. I felt like I had been transported to Italy with the ancient-looking stone oven in the center of the pizzeria. As I approached the counter, eager to try a slice, Nunzio himself greeted me with a huge smile on his face.
Nunzio and his team recommended their signature Grandma Pie — a stuffed Sicilian square pizza with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, italian sausage, and roasted bell peppers. All I can say is wow! The crust was cooked perfectly; it was thick and chewy yet crunchy around the edges. The toppings were incredibly fresh and flavorful. Every bite was an absolute explosion of flavor!
But what really made this one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted was Nunzio’s exceptional service and hospitality. He even took me into the back prep area, where he explained how they make their signature wafer-thin crusts that are practically paper thin but still crunchy and chewy at the same time! It’s something you have to experience for yourself to truly understand its deliciousness.
Overall, I would highly recommend Nunzio’s Pizzeria if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Monmouth County. From their unique venue to their top-notch ingredients, you won’t be disappointed!
