I’ve traveled the world to eat pizza and can say with confidence that there are some great places to get it in this seaside town. But which ones are really worth going out of your way for? I’m here to answer just that!

After sampling slices from 7 spots, I’ve put together a list of my absolute favorites. Whether you’re looking for a classic New York slice, something thin and crispy or a unique combination of ingredients, you’ll find your perfect pizza in my Morro Bay recommendations.

#1 Nardonne’s La Famiglia Pizzeria

The smell of delicious Italian spices wafted through my nose as soon as I stepped foot into the pizzeria. The restaurant itself was simple and quaint but filled with a warm atmosphere.

I started off with the classic Margherita pizza, which had a perfect balance of sweet tomato sauce and salty cheese. The crust was just right – not too crunchy and not too chewy.

Next, I sampled the Spinaci e Gorgonzola pizza which was covered in a generous amount of gooey cheese and salty gorgonzola. It was so flavorful that I couldn’t help but have another slice!

Finally, I tried one of their signature creations – the La Famiglia Speciale. This pizza featured some unique ingredients like mascarpone cream, truffle oil, and roasted garlic which all married together perfectly in this decadent dish.

I’m pleased to report that Nardonne’s La Famiglia Pizzeria has some of the best pizza in Morro Bay! The fresh ingredients, delicious recipes, and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit spot for any pizza lover.

#2 Surfside Pizza

The cheesy deliciousness of their pizzas is unparalleled, and it’s all thanks to the perfect combination of their fresh ingredients and their top-secret pizza-making techniques. The bubbly crust was cooked just right, the vegetables were crunchy yet still flavorful, and the herbs gave it a subtle kick that was simply out of this world.

To top it off, the atmosphere of the restaurant itself was fantastic. Not only were we welcomed with warm smiles from the friendly staff, but we also received a generous sampling of some of Surfside Pizza’s signature flavours. They even let us customize our own pies so that they could be tailored to our tastes!

It’s safe to say that this place is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Morro Bay looking for some truly exceptional pizza. With ooey gooey cheese and savoury toppings, I can assure you that this is some of the best pizza I’ve had around these parts – and believe me when I say I’ve tasted quite a few pies in my travels! Surfside Pizza has earned its spot as one of my favourite places in Morro Bay with its unbeatable pizzas.

#3 Pizza Port

I was so ecstatic to be there and the atmosphere was amazing. They served beer, had a great variety of vegetarian options, and were a great tourist spot. It was the perfect place to watch some sports with friends; the TVs were all over the walls!

The pizza itself was delicious – it’s by far the best pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was light and crispy, the cheese was melted to perfection and there was ample amount of toppings. It was an absolute treat!

The only downside to Pizza Port is that unfortunately they don’t offer delivery which could be a problem for some customers. But in my opinion, it’s worth making a trip down there for a taste of their delicious pizzas!

#4 Central Coast Pizza

The first thing that I noticed when I walked in was the inviting atmosphere. The interior was cozy and comfortable, with ample seating. Plus, the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their menu items.

The next thing that I noticed was their selection of pizzas. From classic Hawaiian to specialty creations like Supreme, they have something for everyone! I eventually decided on a cheese pizza, which tasted amazing. It was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of toppings and cheese.

The crust is also one of their specialties—it’s thin and crispy yet still chewy enough to satisfy any appetite. And all this is topped off by their incredible house sauces that really bring the flavors of the pizza together in perfect harmony.

In short, Central Coast Pizza is simply one of the best pizzerias around! If you’re looking for an amazing pizza experience that has great service to match, then look no further than Central Coast Pizza!

#5 Domino’s Pizza

The first thing that stands out at Domino’s is the amazing selection of toppings. From mushrooms to jalapenos, they have all the toppings you could ever want in a pizza. Not only are the toppings fresh, but they also have a great variety of crusts including thin, hand-tossed, and deep dish.

When it comes to taste, Domino’s Pizza really stands out from the rest. The flavor combinations are spot on and it’s clear that a lot of thought went into choosing the ingredients. The crust is crispy and flavorful and the sauce has just the right amount of kick.

One thing I must mention about Domino’s Pizza is that their customer service is top notch. They are always friendly and eager to help with any questions that may arise about their pizzas or their services. Their delivery service is also unbeatable; my pizza always arrived hot and fresh!

#6 Round Table Pizza

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a friendly staff who always go above and beyond to make sure my experience has been nothing but positive. The pizza is cooked to perfection, with a crispy crust that crackles in your mouth, and the ingredients are always fresh and flavorful.

One of my favorite items on the menu is their Pepperoni Supreme – an artisanal blend of pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, olives, garlic and Italian herbs. It’s rich and savory with just the right amount of kick from the spices!

For those looking for something unique, I’d highly recommend their Hawaiian Heartbreaker pizza. A tantalizing combination of Canadian bacon, diced pineapple chunks in a sweet sauce all atop a truly delectable crust will transport you to the islands with every bite.

Whether you’re looking for a quick slice or taking it home to enjoy with friends and family – Round Table Pizza has definitely earned its spot as one of the best pizzerias in Morro Bay!

#7 DiStasio’s On The Bay

The atmosphere was quaint and inviting with the pictures of Italy adorning the walls. I noticed they had an extensive menu with a variety of choices, but I decided to order the classic Margherita pizza with added pepperoni.

When my pizza arrived, I could smell the mouth-watering aroma from across the room! The cheese was melted perfectly and it looked delicious! I took a bite, savoring the flavor of each ingredient as it burst in my mouth – from the tangy sauce to the special blend of herbs and spices.

I even had room for dessert afterwards – their tiramisu was divine!

It’s obvious that DiStasio’s On The Bay has perfected their craft because this was one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted! It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for great pizza in Morro Bay. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
