When I first walked into Tony’s Cafe, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the wood-fired pizza oven was firing away. I had a chance to chat with the owner, Tony, and he couldn’t have been nicer – he even gave me an inside tip on his famous white pizza with fresh garlic and oregano!

The first bite of my pizza from Tony’s Cafe was a revelatory experience! The crust was crisp and flavorful, the cheese melted perfectly, and the toppings were cooked just right. The real standout though was the sauce – it had just the right balance of sweetness and acidity that left me wanting more.

#3 Cacciatori Pizza & Pasta

The atmosphere here is cozy and inviting, with a great selection of pizzas to choose from. The menu has everything you need, from classic pepperoni and cheese to more unique selections like a pizza stuffed with artichoke hearts.

My favorite is the Calabrese Pizza. It’s got an amazing combination of spicy salami, mozzarella cheese, roasted peppers and fresh basil. The crust is flawlessly cooked – light and crispy on the outside, but still chewy and soft on the inside.

But that’s not all! Cacciatori Pizza & Pasta also offers delicious pasta dishes like Penne Alla Vodka and Baked Ziti. And don’t forget about their appetizers! The bruschetta is especially scrumptious!

To top it off, they have excellent customer service – they’re always friendly and accommodating, no matter how busy they get!

#4 Amalfi Pizza

The delicious, thin crust pizzas are cooked to perfection and cooked right in front of you. The toppings are all fresh and delicious. I tried the sausage and pepperoni pizza this time around and it was a delight. The crust was crispy and had just the right amount of doughiness that made every bite mouthwatering.

The atmosphere inside Amalfi is welcoming and cozy – there’s plenty of seating so you can meet up with friends to share a slice or two. Plus, the staff is friendly, pleasant, and attentive – they know their stuff when it comes to pizza making!

All in all, I’d highly recommend giving Amalfi Pizza a try if you’re ever in Newark DE! It’s definitely one of the best places to get some truly amazing pizza.

#5 Tony’s Bistro

From the first bite, I was in love. The crust had a perfect crunch, with just enough crisp without being too hard. The sauce had a nice zing that made it stand out from other pizzas I’ve tried. And the cheese – oh the cheese! It was perfectly melted and blended so well with the other flavors.

And then there were the toppings – this pizza was loaded! Fresh vegetables, savory meats, and lots of herbs and spices gave an explosion of flavor with each bite. Truly one of a kind!

But perhaps my favorite part about Tony’s Bistro is the atmosphere. While it may be small and can get crowded during peak lunches/dinners, you feel welcome from the moment you walk in until you leave with your stomach feeling full and happy.

#6 Argilla Brewing Co. @ Pietro’s Pizza

When I pulled up to the restaurant, the first thing that caught my eye was the inviting outdoor patio and fountain. This place has a cozy vibe that immediately made me feel at home.

The pizza was surprisingly good for a small town place. They have an impressive selection of pizzas – from traditional to gourmet – with something for everyone. The crust was thin and crispy and topped with generous portions of cheese, veggies, and meats.

I especially enjoyed their signature pizza – the Pietro’s Pie. It had pesto as a base instead of marinara, garlic-infused chicken, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, onions, mozzarella cheese and balsamic reduction drizzle – it was amazing!

Although they don’t offer delivery service, the staff were happy to bring our order out to us so we could enjoy it in their lovely garden. All in all, Argilla Brewing Co. @ Pietro’s Pizza is one of my favorite places for pizza in Newark DE!

#7 Mario’s Pizza

The first thing I noticed walking in was the rustic Italian decor, as if I had been transported to a pizzeria in Napoli. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which only added to my overall experience there.

Upon ordering, I was immediately served with a delicious wood-fired Margherita pizza that was as close to perfect as it gets. The crust was thin yet crisp and the tomatoes provided a perfect sweet-salty balance. The cheese melted perfectly and the flavors of the herbs were spot on.

I also tried their pepperoni and mushroom pizza – the combination of melted cheese, lemony mushrooms and robust pepperoni made for an absolute flavor explosion!

My experience at Mario’s Pizza only increased my appreciation for well-made traditional Italian-style pizzas. If you’re ever in Newark DE, be sure to check out Mario’s Pizza – they have some of the best pizza in town!

The thin, crispy crust and the flavors of the mozzarella and tomato sauce are simply delightful. And the prices are very reasonable. What’s more, the atmosphere is great! The staff is welcoming and friendly, making it a pleasure to visit.

And while I always appreciate new experiences in different places, I have to admit that the margarita pizza at Margherita’s Pizza is my favorite. The smoky flavor of the cheese blends so perfectly with all the herbs and spices used in their pizza—it’s perfection on a plate.

If you’re ever lucky enough to find yourself in Newark DE, I highly recommend that you try out Margherita’s Pizza for yourself. You won’t be disappointed; it truly is some of the best pizza in town!

The first thing that struck me when I walked into the restaurant was how inviting it was. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was cozy and warm.

When it came time to order, I couldn’t get enough of their deep dish pizzas! They have traditional like pepperoni and sausage, as well as unique flavors such as garlic chicken alfredo, loaded potato, and plenty more. The crust on each pie was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of crunch. Plus all the toppings were super fresh and flavorful.

But don’t take my word for it – you have to try Big Z Pizza’s garlic knots! They offer several kinds such as parmesan garlic, bacon cheddar, jalapeno cheese – they’re definitely one of Newark DE’s best-kept secrets.

Speaking of which, the prices at Big Z Pizza are surprisingly reasonable. So if you’re looking for a great pizza experience without breaking the bank, then look no further than Big Z Pizza!

#10 Amore Pizza

The service is friendly, and they make you feel right at home. It’s almost as if they know what pizza lovers want. From the tasty crust to the perfectly balanced toppings, every bite is like a little slice of heaven.

I have to admit that I’m picky when it comes to pizza, but even I found something special at Amore Pizza. The pizza was cooked to perfection! It was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and had plenty of melted cheese. Plus, their range of toppings allowed me to create my own custom-made masterpiece – from succulent pepperoni slices to crunchy vegetables.

And it doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to sauces either – there’s always something for everyone here. Whether you prefer a traditional red sauce or a creamy white sauce, you’ll find something delicious at Amore Pizza.

The staff at Philly Style Pizza Express were friendly, the atmosphere was lively and inviting, the decor was cozy, and most importantly – the pizza was delicious!

I opted for a classic cheese pizza with fresh basil and red sauce. The crust was just the right amount of crispy – not too thick or too thin. The mozzarella melted perfectly and blended with the tomato sauce to make every bite enjoyable. The addition of fresh basil really added a unique flavor that made it stand out from any other pizza I’ve had before.

But what really stood out about my experience at Philly Style Pizza Express is their commitment to quality ingredients. They source all of their ingredients locally and you can tell in each delicious bite. Other pizza places can’t come close to this level of passion for perfection!

The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The waiters were ready to receive your order with a smile. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the aroma of freshly-baked pizza was already tickling my senses. The pizza itself was nothing short of divine! It had a wonderfully light crust that was just the right amount of crispy and chewy, and the toppings were plentiful and flavorful.

When it comes to finding the best pizza in Newark DE, Rudy’s Pizza Italian Bistro definitely takes the cake (or should I say, pie?). Every bite was bursting with flavor. My only regret is that I didn’t have room for dessert! If you’re looking for a delicious slice of pizza perfection, Rudy’s Pizza is definitely worth checking out.
