I never lead an investigation into pizza lightly – I travel to the ends of the earth (well, mostly Italy) to get the best slices and pies around. So you can trust my opinion when I tell you that the following list contains the 12 absolute best pizzas in North Jersey.

#1 Arturo’s

I had heard great things about Arturo’s and was not disappointed. From the start, I could tell this was a spot of high quality. The moment I walked through the door, I instantly knew that I was in for a treat.

Their pizzas are incredibly tasty, with a nice crispy crust and a variety of fresh toppings. Even better? They have some vegetarian options that definitely hit the spot! What more could you ask for in a pizza?

Arturo’s is also quite tourist-friendly as it’s located right near some of North Jersey’s top attractions. This makes it an ideal spot to stop for lunch or dinner during your travels—and to top it off, they offer dessert too!

The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery—which would be great—but their standards are so high that I can see why they’d want customers to come in and eat their food the way it should be enjoyed.

#2 John’s Boy Pizzeria

I was greeted warmly at the door and seated quickly. My server was knowledgeable and gave me some great recommendations. I decided to try a few items including their signature “John’s Boy Special” pizza. Wow! This is truly the best pizza I have ever had in North Jersey! The sauce was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of garlic and oregano, the cheese was rich and creamy, and the crust was cooked to a golden brown perfection.

The other items I tried were also excellent. Their BBQ wings were cooked perfectly and the ranch dressing dip on the side added that extra punch of flavor. The antipasto salad was fresh and crunchy–just what I needed as an appetizer to cleanse my palate before indulging in more pizza.

If you’re looking for a place that serves up top-notch pizza in North Jersey, John’s Boy Pizzeria should definitely be your go-to spot. It’s definitely worth the trip, no matter how far you have to travel!

#3 Patsy’s Tavern & Restaurant

The atmosphere is great – it’s a perfect balance between laid-back and classy. Not only does it serve beer and hard liquor, but there’s also a kid’s menu for the little ones. And if you’re looking for something sweet after your meal, Patsy’s offers up delicious dessert options as well.

Unfortunately, they don’t offer delivery services – so you’ll have to go there to get your hands on their mouthwatering pizza. But it will be worth the drive! Their pizza has the perfect combination of flavors and textures: a crispy crust that’s slightly charred, tangy sauce with just enough sweetness, and gooey cheese that melts in your mouth. I highly recommend giving it a try.

#4 Tacconelli’s Pizzeria

I’m not sure what makes their pizza so special – whether it’s the combination of the fresh ingredients, the perfect ratio of sauce to cheese, or the combination of spices used – but whatever it is, it’s delicious!

Their menu offers a wide variety of pizza options so you’re bound to find something that will tantalize your taste buds. If you’re feeling adventurous then I recommend trying one of their specialty pizzas. As for dessert…let’s just say it was an added bonus!

Unfortunately, Tacconelli’s does not offer delivery so, if you want to try their amazing pizza, you’ll have to visit in person (which can be quite a drive depending on where you live). However, this is also a great tourist spot, and is worth checking out even if it’s just for the slice!

In conclusion, I highly recommend Tacconelli’s Pizzeria as they have some of the best pizza in North Jersey. Just make sure that you have time to travel there and back before digging into your slice!

#5 Kinchley’s Tavern

This place is great for the whole family. Not only do they have a kid’s menu, but they serve booze and hard liquor too! It’s a nice spot for tourists to check out, or even just a great place to watch sports games.

The’y don’t offer delivery service – which I’m sure some people would find disappointing – but honestly it’s not worth worrying about since their pizza is simply delicious! I especially love their wide selection of toppings. No matter what your pizza preference is, Kinchley’s has you covered.

I’d definitely recommend heading to Kinchley’s if you’re looking for the best pizza in North Jersey!

#6 Pete & Elda’s Bar / Carmen’s Pizzeria

Their classic New York-style pizza is cooked to perfection and the toppings are always juicy and flavorful. The dough is made from scratch daily, giving it a light, fluffy texture that melts in your mouth. Even their speciality slices have something unique to offer; I especially enjoyed the one with homemade pesto sauce!

The atmosphere of Pete & Elda’s Bar / Carmen’s Pizzeria enhances the experience as well. The walls are adorned with old-school Italian art and posters and there’s live music playing most nights. Plus, the owners know their regulars by name and make sure everyone feels welcomed and respected.

All in all, I’d rate Pete & Elda’s Bar / Carmen’s Pizzeria as one of the best pizza places in North Jersey. If you’re ever in town, be sure to stop by for an unforgettable meal!

#7 Papa’s Tomato Pies

On my recent visit, I was delighted to find that the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and an attentive staff. The pies were cooked with love and care, and the crust had just the right amount of crunch. The cheese used was of exceptional quality – not too greasy or overly salty – and the toppings were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.

In terms of price, Papa’s Tomato Pies did not disappoint. Despite using fresh ingredients, they still managed to keep their prices competitive. I also found that their pizzas were large enough to share with friends without feeling overwhelmed by leftovers.

First and foremost, the atmosphere at Federici’s is great! It’s a perfect tourist spot for families looking for a good time. Not only do they have a kid’s menu, but if you’re in need of an adult beverage, they offer alcohol (including hard liquor!) to make your experience even more enjoyable.

Speaking of food, their pizza is insanely good! I had a vegetarian option which was made with top-notch ingredients and cooked to perfection. It was definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve had on my travels.

And to top it all off, Federici’s has some amazing desserts that can satisfy any sweet tooth! The portion sizes are generous too so come hungry because you’ll want to sample as many options as possible!

The only downside I came across while visiting Federici’s Family Restaurant was that they don’t offer delivery service. But if you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth the trip as it will be one of the best pizza experiences north Jersey has to offer!

#9 Blue Steel Pizza Company

From the moment I walked in the door, I knew this place was special. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I could smell the amazing aroma of pizza coming from the ovens.

Once I sat down to enjoy my meal, it became clear that no expense had been spared! The toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the dough was exceptionally light. The sauce was perfectly made – it felt like it’d been hand-crafted with love!

The best part of my experience? The presentation! Each pizza was served on a unique steel tray that added a unique touch to each slice. It looked almost too good to eat – almost!

Bottom line: Blue Steel Pizza Company is definitely one of the best places around for pizza. If you’re looking for delicious, handcrafted pizzas with creative presentation, then this is your spot!

#10 Razza

On my recent visit I was greeted with a warm, local welcome. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and knew their menu inside-out.

I decided to order the olive oil crust. It was cooked to perfection – golden brown and crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside! It was heavenly! I also opted for the classic cheese pizza – simple yet delicious; just as it should be!

If you’re looking for something more adventurous, then Razza also offer some truly unique topping combinations – from truffle and burrata, to spicy arrabbiata sauce. Take your taste buds on a culinary adventure here!

The ambience at Razza is equally memorable – a cozy, family-friendly space filled with laughter and smiles. Whether it’s date night or family night, Razza has got you covered. Not to mention their selection of craft beers that pair perfectly with any pizza.

In conclusion, if you’re after the best pizza in North Jersey then Razza is the place to be!

#11 Star Tavern

This place checks all the boxes—it has a great tourist spot, dedicates to sports fans (they have a big screen TV!), serves alcohol and hard liquor, and even has a kid’s menu. What more can you ask for?!

The pies here are delectable. The pizza is made from the freshest local ingredients and never disappoints. They cater to all kinds of tastes, with an assortment of gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions. You won’t be sorry!

The only downside is that they don’t offer delivery, so you have to visit in person to enjoy the pizza. But let me tell you, it’s worth it! Plus, don’t forget about their delicious dessert selections. The homemade tiramisu is heavenly!

I can’t resist their incredibly crispy crust, loaded with the perfect amount of cheese. Their specialty pizzas are also something special – the Margherita is one of my favorites – made with juicy San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella.

The other pies come in all shapes and sizes, including some gluten-free options that I was really impressed by. The service is always friendly and helpful, which is a nice bonus too.

I strongly recommend Dominick’s Pizzeria if you’re looking for great pizza in North Jersey. It’s definitely the best pizza in town!
