I’ll admit I was a little skeptical at first. The restaurant has a roadside feel, and the interior isn’t close to being fancy. But after one bite of their pizza, all of my doubts disappeared.

The crust is light and fluffy with just the right amount of crispness. And you can really taste the quality ingredients in each topping: the cheese is smooth and creamy, the sausage is juicy, and there’s plenty of fresh vegetables.

Although their insistence on only making large pizzas can be a bit annoying, it’s easy to understand why they do it. Large pies mean more surface area for flavor!

I’m also quite impressed by their range of signature subs – anything from classic Italian favorites to Mexican-inspired creations. Each sandwich comes with fresh bread that’s baked daily in-house; you won’t find any pre-packaged loaves here!

All in all, if you’re looking for an authentic pizza experience in North Phoenix, Stumpy’s Pizza & Subs should definitely be top of your list!
