I’ve had the privilege of tasting pizza in places all over the world – from the streets of Naples to a hip pizzeria in New York City – and I’m ready to share with you my findings from my recent travels in Northwest IN.

#1 Perillo’s Pizzeria

I was taken aback by the quality of service and the atmosphere of this amazing restaurant. From the moment I stepped in, it felt like home. The staff members were friendly and inviting, always ready to help me with anything I needed.
The menu was great! Not only did they have plenty of pizza options—including some vegetarian choices—they also had a kid’s menu if you’re feeling generous. As if that wasn’t enough, they even serve alcohol! What more could you ask for?
I went straight for their signature pizza and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was insanely delicious with perfect proportions of crust, sauce, cheese and toppings! And last but not least, Perillo’s Pizzeria offers some truly amazing desserts which will leave your taste buds begging for more!
My one regret is that they don’t offer delivery service. But after experiencing such great hospitality and tasty food, I’m willing to make the trip back myself any time for another pizza fix!

The atmosphere was great – a combination of a warm, family-friendly vibe and a perfect spot for gathering to watch sports. And with the added bonus of serving alcohol, it was truly a win-win!
The kid’s menu was extensive, from juice boxes to pizza rolls, making this an ideal spot for families. They also had several vegetarian options – so everyone could find something that suited their taste buds.
What really impressed me were their pizza options. The different toppings and crust types were just what I needed after a long day of travel. Plus, all their ingredients were top-notch quality.
My one criticism of Tomato Bar Pizza Bakery is that they don’t offer delivery – you have to come in to pick up your order. But if you’re in the neighborhood, it’s worth the stop! In my opinion, Tomato Bar Pizza Bakery has some of the best pizza in Northwest IN. Highly recommend!
#3 Giuseppe’s Pizza

I recently had the pleasure of trying out Giuseppe’s, and I can honestly say that this is one of the most delicious pizzas I’ve ever had. The crust was perfectly thin, crispy and flavorful – not too doughy or overpowering. The sauce was rich, fragrant, and balanced with a hint of sweet and spice. The toppings were also top-notch; each ingredient seemed fresh and perfectly cooked. All in all, this pizza experience was truly memorable and delicious!
It’s no surprise that Giuseppe’s Pizza has been touted as the best pizza in Northwest IN! From its flavorful crust to the perfect blend of ingredients – no other pizza joint in the area comes close. In fact, I think I’ll be making Giuseppe’s my go-to spot for pizza cravings from now on!

I recently stopped in to give their pizza a try, and I must say that it completely blew me away. Not only did the restaurant have a great atmosphere, with brightly colored walls and tables full of happy diners, but the pizza was absolutely delicious. The crust had just the right amount of crunchiness while the cheese melted perfectly into every bite. The sauce was made from high-quality tomatoes, giving it just enough sweetness to balance out all flavors.
The staff were very friendly and attentive too – my waiter gave me detailed information about each topping I should choose for my order, which I was thankful for. And when my pizza came out piping hot from the ovens, I definitely knew why people recommend this place so highly!
Overall, Tomato Bar Pizza Bakery is easily one of the best spots in Northwest IN for a great slice of pizza – and honestly one of the best places I’ve eaten anywhere! If you haven’t tried this spot yet, you’re really missing out!
#5 Duneland Pizza

Everything about the atmosphere of Duneland Pizza was inviting. The inside had traditional Italian decor, including red and white checkered tablecloths and pictures of the Italian flag.
The staff were also friendly and accommodating, suggesting a variety of vegetarian options for me to try, which I greatly appreciated!
When it came to the food, Duneland Pizza certainly lived up to its reputation! I tried their classic pepperoni pizza and it was truly extraordinary – both crispy and flavorful. Every bite was a delight! I’m sure whatever other pizzas they offer will be just as tasty.
Unfortunately, they don’t offer delivery service, but that’s a small price to pay for having some of the best pizza in Northwest IN. For those in need of an out-of-town adventure who also have a taste for fantastic pizza, this is definitely an excellent destination spot.
#6 Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria Crown Point & Region On Tap

Their crust has just the right amount of crunch and chew with a perfect balance of taste and texture. The sauce is vibrant and flavorful, while the cheese is always gooey and melts in your mouth.
The toppings are generous and varied; you can choose from pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers and onions, olives – anything you want! And you can even get creative with their “Crazy Combo” pizzas that feature unique combinations like pineapple & feta or spinach & artichoke!
But the true highlight of Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria Crown Point & Region On Tap is the atmosphere. It’s cozy yet modern, with an open kitchen so that everyone can see the cooks hard at work creating masterpieces. Plus, there’s an entire bar in the back for those who prefer to pair their pizza with a cold one.
In other words – if you’re looking for some of the best pizza in Northwest IN – look no further than Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria! I guarantee your taste buds will thank you later!
#7 MOD Pizza

The first thing that struck me about MOD Pizza was the atmosphere. The restaurant has a modern, casual vibe that really puts you at ease. It also has a very friendly and knowledgeable staff that makes your experience enjoyable.
The second thing I noticed was their amazing selection of pizzas. You can choose from a variety of interesting topping combinations, and they have some truly unique creations. I had the “Bob” pizza which was topped with mozzarella, garlic cream sauce, grilled chicken, spinach and feta cheese. It was absolutely delicious!
As for the crust…well I can honestly say it was the best I’ve tasted in Northwest IN! It had a perfect crunch on the outside while still being light and fluffy inside.
All-in-all my experience at MOD Pizza was great! Be sure to drop in if you’re ever in Northwest IN and looking for some of the best pizza around!

#8 Edwardo’s Natural Pizza

I was initially skeptical since I had never heard of “natural pizza” before. But after tasting their signature sauce, made with a unique blend of herbs and spices, I was hooked! The crust was perfectly cooked and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.
Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was inviting and friendly. The staff was knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions we had about the menu.
The highlight of the experience, though, was definitely the pizza itself. From their classic pepperoni to their gourmet veggie delights, each slice was a flavor sensation that helped make my visit memorable.
If you’re looking for the best pizza in Northwest IN, then Edwardo’s is definitely the place to be!
#9 The Original John’s Pizzeria

I’ve had my share of pies around the globe, but John’s is up there with the best. The crust is delightfully crispy and crunchy, and not too thick or thin. The cheese was perfectly melted and gooey, with just the right amount of saltiness. And as for the sauce – it was perfect! Not too sweet, not too spicy – just a great balance.
But what really sets John’s apart from other pizzerias is its selection of classic toppings. From succulent pepperoni to hearty mushrooms, each one added amazing flavor and texture without overpowering the other flavors in the dish.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so satisfied after eating pizza! The Original John’s Pizzeria truly lives up to its reputation as having some of the best pizza in Northwest IN, and I’d highly recommend it to all pizza lovers!
#10 Villa Pizza

The first thing I noticed when walking in Villa Pizza was the inviting atmosphere. From the very start, it was obvious that this was a place where I could feel comfortable and enjoy some amazing pizza.
The menu offers a great selection of pizzas, from classic cheese to unique combinations like BBQ chicken and pineapple. I decided to go with the Classic Pepperoni and it did not disappoint! The crust was thin, crispy and lightly flavored with herbs, while the sauce was perfectly seasoned with a hint of garlic. The pepperonis were nice and spicy just like they should be.
I also tried their signature dessert pizza, which comes with a chocolate shell filled with cream cheese and marshmallows. It is definitely one of the best desserts I’ve ever had!
And of course no dinner would be complete without drinks. They have a great selection here too, including craft beer on tap, specialty cocktails, and wine by the bottle or glass.
If you’re looking for the best pizza in Northwest IN then look no further than Villa Pizza! I highly recommend this place – after all my travels around the world tasting pizza, this has become my new favorite spot!
#11 Langel’s Pizza Crown Point
I got to this little corner of the world on a mission: find out if Langel’s Pizza lived up to its reputation. I’m pleased to say that it did, and then some!
The pizza is thin but with enough ‘oomph’ to make it rich and delicious. It has all the traditional ingredients, like mozzarella, pepperoni, mushroom, and olives. But unlike so many other pizza places I’ve been to, Langel’s has a surprisingly wide variety of toppings. Everything from artichokes to sun-dried tomatoes can be found here.
As for the crust, it was firm but soft in just the right places. The cheese was melted perfectly and bubbling around the edges. All in all, it was one of those pizzas that makes you stop mid-bite just admire its deliciousness!
The restaurant staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. They were more than happy to recommend different toppings for me and answer any questions I had about their menu items.

#12 State Line Pizza Dyer

The first time I stepped foot in this establishment, it was clear that they take making pizza seriously. The scent of fresh dough filled the air and the staff were clearly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Plus, they have some really cool memorabilia adorning the walls.
When it comes to the pizza itself, I can say with confidence that State Line Pizza Dyer is doing something right. The crust was crisp yet fluffy, and even had a nice char from the oven that added more flavor to each bite. The sauce was rich but not too sweet, with just the right amount of spice. And as for toppings…They really knocked it out of the park! Fresh vegetables and cheese were all perfectly proportioned and cooked to perfection.

Best Deep Dish Pizza – Edwardo’s Natural Pizza
