My family and I dined at Tony’s recently, and we were not disappointed. The menu offered endless delicious options – from tasty vegetarian dishes to traditional Italian pizzas – and they even had a separate kids’ menu so the little ones had something to choose from.
The highlight of the evening was definitely dessert. Tony’s has some insanely good treats on offer: rich chocolate cake, creamy gelato, and fluffy cannolis – it was all too hard to resist!
But don’t just come for the food; Tony’s also serves alcohol, so you can enjoy an after-dinner drink as you take in the atmosphere of this charming tourist spot.

The restaurant itself is typically bustling and the vibe is always friendly. The servers there are incredibly efficient and did a great job of making sure I was taken care of during my visit.
The pizza was absolutely delicious! The crust was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The toppings were fantastic, they didn’t skimp at all with the amount used. My favorite pizza from Pizzeria Orso has to be their pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and jalapeño pizza – it is truly divine!

Gathering from the name (which means “little pup” in Italian), I expected a cozy, inviting atmosphere – and that’s exactly what I found. Inside the restaurant there was a vibrant, bustling environment with plenty of fellow pizza enthusiasts.
The menu had an impressive selection of specialty pizzas cooked in traditional Italian style. I had the pleasure of trying one of their signature pies, the Deliciouso Pupatella Pie – a classic combination of mozzarella, mushrooms and olives. The crust was thin and crunchy, while the topping was flavourful and generous.
The staff were warm and friendly, and they really knew their way around a pizza oven! Plus, they seemed to be having as much fun as the customers were.

For those nights when you want pizza without leaving the house, unfortunately The Espositos Restaurant doesn’t do delivery. I was skeptical when I first arrived, since the restaurant didn’t look like much on the outside – as if it’s been around for decades. But, the inside was just as I expected – a cozy setting with bright colors, fun decorations and plenty of delicious pizzas to choose from.
The pizza was fantastic. The crust was thin and crispy, yet still chewy with a slight crunch. The toppings were plentiful and flavorful. From their traditional Italian style toppings to their unique house creations, every bite was a delight.
What really stood out though was the sauce. It was unlike anything I’ve tasted before; tangy yet sweet at the same time — nothing short of heavenly!

Best Deep Dish Pizza – UNO Pizzeria & Grill
- Nice tourist spot
- Great place to watch sports
- Serves alcohol (and hard liquor!)
- Has insanely good dessert
- Has some vegetarian options
Let me start by saying that the moment I walked into UNO Pizzeria & Grill, I knew I was in for something special. The aroma of freshly baked dough and cheesy goodness wafted through the air, and I couldn’t help but get a little weak in the knees. As a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur, I take my dough very seriously, and UNO did not disappoint.
The deep dish pizza at UNO is a towering masterpiece. It’s like a delicious mountain of cheese, sauce, and toppings. As I took my first bite, I could feel the weight of the pizza in my hands. It was almost like holding a baby—but better, because this baby was covered in gooey, melty cheese.
The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside. It was like biting into a cloud that had been sprinkled with Parmesan. And the ratio of toppings to cheese? Absolutely spot on. UNO knows that a great deep dish pizza needs to be generous with its toppings without drowning them in cheese.
To top it all off, the service at UNO Pizzeria & Grill was fantastic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and they somehow managed to keep a straight face while I shamelessly devoured an entire deep dish pizza by myself. That’s no small feat, my friends.
So, if you find yourself in northern virginia with a hankering for some top-notch deep dish pizza, head straight to UNO Pizzeria & Grill. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Just make sure to bring your stretchy pants and a healthy appetite. You’re gonna need it!
