My visit to Pizza Mamo was absolutely delightful. From the moment I walked in, the cheery atmosphere and classic Italian music set the tone for a great evening. I thoroughly enjoyed grabbing a seat right up at the bar where I could watch all of the hustle and bustle in the kitchen.
The menu was mouth-watering and filled with an array of topping options – it was tough to decide! In the end, I decided on a Margherita pie with parmesan cheese sprinkled lightly on top. When my pizza arrived at my table, it was hot off the press – quite literally! The dough had been prepared with care and cooked just long enough to get that perfectly crispy crust while the cheese melted just so. Every bite was pure perfection.

The place itself is a tourist spot, with a nice atmosphere to sit down and enjoy your pizza while watching sports. As an added bonus, they serve alcohol – including hard liquor! What more could you want?
My favorite dish there is their Deluxe Pizza. It has everything on it, so you’re sure to be satisfied no matter what your preferences are. Everything is cooked to perfection, with the right amount of cheese and sauce. Plus the crust was just un-bake-able!

I must admit, I was expecting another chain pizza joint when I walked in but I was pleasantly surprised to find a cozy spot with warm and welcoming staff. As soon as I stepped in, the inviting aromas of garlic and oregano wafted from the kitchen – it certainly stoked my appetite.
The menu had a good selection of both classic and innovative pies. After much deliberation, I decided on their signature ‘Boston’s Special’ which featured pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers and olives.
When the pizza arrived at my table, its golden brown crust puffed out invitingly and I could already taste how fresh the ingredients were. The first bite confirmed that this was some of the best pizza I’d ever tried! The crust had just the right amount of crunch while still being airy and light – not a common thing to find in takeout pizza nowadays.

Best Thin Crust Pizza – La Pizza Rina
- Serves alcohol
Let me start by saying that I’ve eaten my fair share of pizza, from the tiny pizzerias in Italy to the famous New York pizza joints. And let me tell you, La Pizza Rina holds its own against them all.
First of all, the crust is delightfully thin and crispy. I’m talking so thin that you can almost see through it. It’s like eating a delicate piece of art, except it’s edible and absolutely delicious. The cheese-to-sauce ratio is perfectly balanced, and the toppings are aplenty.
Now, I must warn you about the danger of these pizzas. They are so good that you’ll find yourself eating slice after slice, unable to stop. It’s like a magical spell has been cast upon you, making you crave more and more. I’ve witnessed people lose control, their faces covered in sauce, cheese stuck to their cheeks. It’s a sight to behold, let me tell you.
The ambiance of the restaurant is nothing to write home about, but who needs fancy decor when you have pizza this good? The staff is friendly enough, but let’s be honest, I’m here for the pizza, not the small talk.
So, if you find yourself in Honolulu and craving some outstanding thin crust pizza, head straight to La Pizza Rina. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. And if you do happen to lose yourself in a pizza-induced frenzy, just remember to wipe the sauce off your face before leaving.
