Over the last few weeks, I’ve tried a whopping twelve different pizza places to discover the best of the best around town. Even though it’s been quite a mission (my taste buds are still recovering!), I’m definitely ready to share my verdict on which pizzerias are worth their salt – and pepperoni!

But before diving into my thorough review, let me share some background info: I like my pizza heavy on flavor, with just enough crunch in its crust. As you can imagine, not every pie made the cut – but trust me when I say that I’ll make sure to highlight every notable slice found during this tasty journey!

#1 Formaggio Pizza and Italian Restaurant

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was quick and attentive. The menu included a range of delectable dishes from classic Italian favorites like lasagna and pasta to delicious thin crust pizzas. I decided to try their famous cheese pizza with freshly grated parmesan on top, and it did not disappoint! The flavorful sauce had just the right amount of spice while the crunchy crust gave way to a soft but chewy center.

Overall, this is a great place for pizza lovers. Whether you’re looking for thin or thicker crusts, there’s something for everyone here! As for their sauce offerings, J★ROCKS PIZZERIA has some unique and exciting options. My favorite was the jalapeno pesto – it had just enough heat to be balanced while still giving an interesting flavor kick. The traditional red sauce also did not disappoint, coming through with lots of bold flavor and acidity in each bite.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting. The stone-fired pizzas were cooked to perfection, and every bite was like a little taste of Italy! The ingredients were all fresh, from the vegetables to the meats – no cheap shortcuts here!

The service was excellent as well. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and he even provided us with complimentary samples of some delicious Italian wines to enjoy while we waited for our meal.

I must say that Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza – 42nd St made me a believer in the pizza scene in Ocala FL! I could have eaten twice as much of their amazing pies had I known how good they were. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for the best pizza in town.

I’d heard good things about this place, so I was looking forward to having a bite. And boy, was it worth it! The pizza at Wise Guys looked and tasted like an Italian grandmother had made it with love.

The crust was just the right amount of crispy, and the combination of cheese, sauce, and toppings were divine. The pepperoni slices were especially delicious – not too greasy yet still full of flavor – and complemented that perfect blend of cheese and seasoning in every bite.

The atmosphere was also fantastic. It felt like I had stepped into an old-school pizzeria in Rome or Naples – the kind you see in all the postcards! The hospitable staff made me feel welcomed and happy to be there.

My first visit here was a real treat. Upon entering the restaurant, I was met with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The decor is tastefully designed to make you feel like you’re in Italy!

Once I tasted one of their pizzas, I instantly knew why this place is so popular. The combination of flavors was truly delicious – from the traditional toppings like pepperoni and sausage, to their special housemade garlic cream sauce.

#6 Fiore’s Cafe

The pizza is cooked to perfection and the toppings are fresh, giving it a delicious taste. The crust is thick and crispy, making for an incredible bite. Plus, the restaurant has its own beer and wine selection so you can really kick back and relax.

What’s more, they offer a kid’s menu too…which means my little ones are always happy when I take them here. And talk about incredible desserts! Their cakes and tarts will have your mouth watering just thinking about them – they’re insanely good!

My one complaint is that they don’t deliver, which could be inconvenient for some people. But if you have the chance to get there in person, it’s worth it – Fiore’s Cafe is truly serving up some of the best pizza in Ocala FL!

#7 Pie-O-Mine & Greens

I was absolutely blown away by the quality of ingredients and the precision with which the pizza is made. The crust had a perfect, crispy texture that really held up to the generous toppings. And speaking of toppings – wow! Talk about generous! Not only were there loads of fresh veggies and meats, but also some unique flavor combinations like pineapple and salami that really hit the spot!

The atmosphere of Pie-O-Mine & Greens was surprisingly upbeat. I’d been expecting a typical pizza joint, but instead I found myself transported by the colorful decor and eclectic music playing in the background. It gave me a really relaxed vibe, so much so that I almost forgot why I was there in the first place!

Most impressive of all was their service: friendly, helpful staff that knew exactly what to recommend for my tastes. They even gifted me with a free slice at the end of my visit!

If you’re looking for great pizza in Ocala FL, look no further than Pie-O-Mine & Greens. It’s definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had – anywhere in the world!

#8 Sammy’s Italian Restaurant and Pizza

I arrived at Sammy’s and I could already tell this place was special. The restaurant has a cozy, inviting atmosphere and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

When I received my first pizza, I was impressed by the flavor. The crust was perfectly cooked with a perfect amount of crunch, while the cheese melted in my mouth. Later I sampled their signature sauce which had an amazing balance of sweet and savory flavors. Then came the toppings – fresh vegetables that were flavorful and colorful – finishing off the perfect pizza pie.

To top it all off, they offer an impressive selection of wines that pair perfectly with their delicious pizza creations.

My first visit was quite an eye-opener. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with Italian flair and the aroma of freshly baked pizza filled the air. I chose to sit at one of their cozy booths in order to get a better view of the menu. After much contemplation, I decided to try the classic Margherita pizza made with tomato, mozzarella and basil – it certainly didn’t disappoint!

The generous topping selection had me wishing that I hadn’t used up my appetite on breadsticks and garlic knots while waiting for my meal. The crusts were delicious and perfectly thin; they were sprinkled with oregano which added an amazing flavor to every bite. The pizzas were cooked perfectly and I savored every single bite!

#10 Marco’s Pizza

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Marco himself to sample his delicious creations. Marco’s Pizza specializes in Sicilian-style pizza, so the first thing that caught my eye was the thick and hearty crust. It was a comforting contrast to some of the thin-crusted pies I’ve tried elsewhere.

The sauce had just the right level of sweetness and acidity, and I could taste each ingredient as if it were made fresh for me. The cheese was also delightful – it wasn’t too greasy or rubbery like some pizzas can be.

But what really impressed me about Marco’s Pizza was how he managed to maintain a balance between classic Italian flavors and modern twists on his menu items. My favorite dish was the pepperoni and sausage pizza which had a flavorful blend of traditional spices along with some unexpected toppings like jalapenos for an exciting kick of heat!

Overall, Marco’s Pizza is one of the best pizzerias in Ocala FL! You won’t find a more gourmet quality pizza anywhere else in town, and I highly recommend it!

When I say best pizza in Ocala FL, I mean it. Blue Highway is truly something special. From the moment you enter, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly puts you in a great mood. The staff is friendly and welcoming, always eager to help with whatever questions you may have.

The pizza itself is out of this world! It’s cooked with the freshest ingredients and baked to perfection in their custom-made wood-fired ovens. The crust is golden brown and crunchy, while the toppings are generous and flavorful. I tried both traditional classics like pepperoni as well as something more unique like their BBQ chicken and pineapple creation – it was simply divine!

I was amazed by the sheer number of topping choices – from pineapple to prosciutto, anything you can think of is available here. The crust was delicious and cooked to perfection, not too thick or thin. The sauce was also flavorful and just the right amount of sweet. In short, the pizza I tried at Marco’s Pizza was simply sublime!

I had a great time at this place – the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home while we ate our pizza. Plus, they served some unique local craft beers which I absolutely loved!

Overall, I definitely recommend Marco’s Pizza! It’s one of the best spots in Ocala FL for an amazing slice of pizza.
